How do I disable fastboot-win 11?
TreeTopsRanch replied to TreeTopsRanch's topic in General Discussion
Thank you Aaron44126. -
Anybody tried to disable fastboot on a Dell Laptop? I'm getting overheating when in sleep mode and suspect that maybe fastboot is causing that issue. (Dell G7-7790)

Having an issue but no responses. Can you all look at this issue and give me a clue as to what is causing this? Laptop over heating in sleep mode

Interesting issue.... Had to install Win 11 as Turbo Tax says they will no longer support Win 10. So when in sleep mode the keyboard back lighting flickers and laptop heats up and fans start. So I disabled the keyboard back lighting and now the computer start button light flickers when display times out and laptop heats up again. What is causing that? Never had this issue under Win 10.

China has indeed used a fake U.S. aircraft carrier, but only as a target in its desert training ranges, where it tests missile strikes against mock-ups built to resemble American warships. This is separate from Chinese military drills that have simulated attacks on U.S. naval groups, which were real exercises but did not involve an actual attack on U.S. ships

Some of those looked staged.

Lots of drone sighting news lately. Words like "big as a bus", "size of a golf cart", etc. Since I can't buy a drone the size of a bus or golf cart, and I don't know of anyone that can, then these things must be from our government. Everyone is asking the same question..."who is doing this?" and even our elected officials are getting into the fray. Some info has to be released soon or someone will end up shooting one down.

Getting ready to change the cabin air filter for the Lexus. Ordered one on Amazon. It goes behind the glove box. -
I still prefer a blue tooth mouse. Mostly from Logitech.

50 billion to charity from Bill Gates....but has that amount really cured or fixed anything? I could not find any references on line that said exactly what was accomplished by this large amount. (except a mention that he provided contraceptives to Africa.)

Can a tablet replace an office laptop ? My journey.

kojack said: "Talk to me when it runs windows. It's a cool tablet, but for a productivity tablet nothing touches windows based systems. Having the full versions of software is a big deal." You are so correct. I've been saying that for 20 years. But a windows laptop is even better for productivity. -
Well I have a wife, (a real woman), and she does use the computer every day. She is proficient in spreadsheets and word processors. For some reason she doesn't seem to have any interest in any forum. Nor does she do Facebook or any other site that requires interaction with others. Yet, she does email to many of her friends. So, go figure.

Sure can't sleep playing that one.

"Where do you see this community in 5 years?" Well I sure hope it's still around in 5 years. But, I suspect it will not. Reason, the youngsters (Kids) are not into computers like we are. They all use phones and trying to use this site on a phone is a really big chore. I know they may need some computer knowledge for work but at home they use a phone. I am seeing this more and more as I visit friends. The older adults may still have a computer but the kids don't. You can watch them, they are glued to the phone all day. Mostly texting. None of them run websites like we did.

I wondered when someone here would see that Urgent Care sign.

I did the last partial eclipse a year or so ago here in Oregon. I was at the 85% area and wanted to take a series of photos to show the difference between daylight and 85% eclipse. Let me tell you it was a complete bummer. There was no difference in light at all. It was cloudy and I expected it to at least get dim but there was no perceptible difference in lighting.
