ok im convinced, thanks alot bros. I was hesitant to jump aboard after seeing the video I posted but had no idea drivers would improve performance so much as I have plenty of intel based laptop with igpus, the difference is pronounced. a 4080 laptop is suprisingly fast but yes a A770 for like half the price for similar performance is a green light for me, the day I get my accident money in a week ill be on here 4 sure and will have a few questions, iv'e decided to throw my fear of failure out the window and just bite the bullet and try a build piece by piece. it will teach me alot more than simply buying a pre build. more upgradeability and ill have a great cpu and gpu and cheap out on the other parts with the exception of Power supply. i'll take brother papusans advice. and brother mr fox on the a770 I appreciate your swift responses. ill have something for you guys on the first week of jan give or take a few days. so far 1)A770 2)i7 13th gen used 3)1000w 4) 1-2tb cheapo ssd 5) 32gb 7200 ram 6)no idea never built on, will i need to by the screws seperately? -
I found that LucasChess by python has modes to play the greats such as spassky and fischer. I tried fischer and was beat swifty and methodically unusual opening and suprise attacks that are uncommon but rely on basic things like sacrifice and hooks.

I was off. chess has a finite number of moves, AI does not and this is getting scary as I have the epiphany of what it will be like in 100 years or even just 2 decades from now here is the explaination for AI on microsofts CO-PILOT does ai work much like chess Copy Searching for: how does ai work Generating answers for you… AI works by applying logic-based techniques, such as machine learning, to interpret data, automate tasks, and complete actions with limited human intervention. AI is not exactly like chess, which has fixed rules and a finite number of possible moves. AI can learn from a variety of data sources and perform different tasks depending on the goal and the context. However, some AI systems do use chess-like algorithms to search for the best possible solution among many alternatives. For example, AlphaGo, an AI program that plays the board game Go, uses a technique called Monte Carlo tree search to evaluate the outcomes of different moves and choose the most promising one1. @Papusan timespy? and love from #canada merry christmas everyone overall score is about where it should be, this is a first for me where I dont have to do anything to get my max performance. gpu is 100 points under my top score but overall not too shabby. really liking these newer(better) drivers pushing cpu from 4.2ghz to the thermally constrained 11800h to 4.3ghz I get my highest cpu score yet and with the overclock 6mhz higher and memory 200 mhz higher I get bumped to my highest score in a month. these drivers kick butt -

freddy mercury>? I think you used the wrong link here: bro @Papusan benchmarks are never a good indicator of gaming performance. in horizon 5 it was getting 70 fps on high at 4k. my 3060 nets a higher framerate, in benchmarks its alot faster and im sure in some games you will see it but in horizon 5 the main game i want to get 120/4k it just wont happen with the a770 -
how will it go? similar to a game of chess, if we prepare and know the best moves in the end we will win regardless of intent. both sides intend to win, whoever plans ahead more? wait a computer can think ahead 40 billion moves? ok yeah its not going to end well

A770 gets 66fps average at 4k high in horizon 5 for some reason this is low. my 3060 gets 91 without dlss and 4x msaa and 101 with dlss quality no aa this is at high settings If im losing fps getting the A770 I dont think ill jump on it maybe a nvidia gpu with FG and DLSS is a better idea. also maybe this guy is cpu bottlenecked, there also doesn't seem to be alot of examples for this game MSI Suprim Liquid X 24G GeForce RTX 4090 Graphics Card PCIe 4.0 24GB - Newegg.ca I stopped smoking crk, and now a 4090 seems like a bad idea, maybe if i start back up ill consider throwing money towards the flame. a gaming turdbook costs 3000 and has everything included(screen/keyboard/cpu/ram/ssd) thats with a laptop 4090, i saw someone here get 27000 in timespy. so if it costs 5000 cad for a desktop wiith a 4090/4080 and a laptop costs 3000. the laptop is 60 percent cheaper and the performance is 70 percent of a desktop 4090. the gain in performance per dollar is 10 percent overall in favor in the turdbook. why are laptops still cheaper than desktops this makes no sense. the laptop is clearly the smarter buy short term but I guess upgradability down the line is an important factor, but when gpus cost 3k who cares -

@Etern4l any up and coming AI companies(underdog) that are developing AI. anything people should know if they are trading stocks, my next investment will be based on AI. and would you ever use AI advice on stocks, surely its just as accurate as any humans guess, everytime I ask I get(cannot give stock advice with chatGPT)

I think I might jump on the a770 prebuilt, id save like 600usd and get the same gaming experience. with the money I save I can buy a monitor and desk/chair. turn my 2nd bedroom into a tech cave -

yeah Bro @Mr. Fox probably had that I would be upgrading down the line(ssd/ram ect) its mainly the savings that caught my eye and when I saw a770's performance on 3dmark i was taken back. he knows me well and knows im not an enthusiast kinda guy, I rarely buy the best even though I want it, their pleasure in getting a mid range gpu/cpu to upper/mid range performance(stock) -

PAPUSAN STRIKES BACK. lol. you guys are all set on what you like. I don't need to be super picky i'll save that for later on once things settle with my desktop building. can't wait, ill likely end up getting 7200mhz ddr5 ram thats another important component. @Papusan bro what would you get for your first build? i9 i7 i5>? do you think its going to make a difference at 4k? also everything needs to be RGB for the slightly more performance you get when it lights up green/pink. this is another important factor I want to be able to switch from dark pink to light baby blue on the fly so I can game better and get higher frames. 😛 -

yeah im starting to get excited. it will be nice having 70 percent more performance and 16gb vram. I game at 4k and the vram will help for sure. going to be cool seeing the cinebench beastly scores. I think its a good time to buy as a few good games will be coming out in 2024. SW outlaws and GTA VI. a few titles left to play from previous years lol 400 plus that I own. ahh well this is great I had no idea about the a770, didn't think it would be that cheap was thinking a 700 buck card. im thinking 1000w and a770 for sure, cpu will likely be an i7. ram I have 64gb and its pointless I never even hit like 10gb even with 50 0000 000 tabs open and I think 32gb is more than enough. as for the case I like the idea of seeing in so it will likely be glass on the side. it will be interesting to see what a budget build is capable of As for bro @Mr. Fox's prebuilt recommendation, now that is a sweet deal and is literally perfect for my needs. but as @Etern4lmentioned building is half the fun, ive never built a desktop so i dont know but ill take your word for it. I plan on using it for 4k/60 or 4k/120 older games. actually thats another upside. I have a 4k/120 tv and now ill be able to play all my games at 4k/120 unlike the 60fps as before. now im stoked. I will re play horizon 5. -

Bro, is it worth getting a i7 in the desktop area? like im more than happy with cpus on the turdbook side they never seem to be the bottleneck and perform well. I ask because the price difference isn't too bad. also I saw your post about battlemage seems to be good, if they improve drivers im pretty sure ill end up getting that over a 4090 because of cost. unless the 4090 comes down in price I dont know I feel like a yo-yo no idea what to get but im thinking i'll only truely be happy with the top components and get them one at a time vs settling with ok or good -

just checked out the benchmarks for a770, its impressive i was not expecting 14k in timespy, so that would be perfect thanks alot. I think im going to just do it part by part afterwards slowly get that prime equip. a770 though would serve me well for quite a while. maybe I can wait till the 5090 is released vs upgrading to a 4090. thing is I want longevity my 3060 served me well for 2 years and im hoping if I drop 4k on a desktop it will last 5 years justifying the switch to desktop. if not im stuck in a endless cycle of buying garbage books and being unhappy with thermals/performance. it will take months/years untill i get the hang of it and switch to stuff like liquid cooling ect but im sure it will be rewarding. -

the prices are msrp. they are not good not bad about where they should be. USA prices are cheaper with the conversion but I cant change that. what would it cost you in usd for a decent 3060ti rig? or something thats capable of 4k gaming -
yeah in canada the max is 1.5gbs so wifi 6e is pointless for most people. wifi 5 right now im getting 400mbs and its fast enough for my 1gb line. it would be nice to see 1100 but I think its a pipedream with the deco router.

hey @cylix. always appreciated when you guys help. I can do a build with memoryexpress.com its the same as just buying the parts but instead of me piecing it together they build it for you for 75 bucks. might be a good idea and just do the upgrades myself and then do the building once im familiar with desktops. the price with a 3060ti or 4060 still comes out at around 1400-1600. its hefty for me as I don't even drop that kind of money on laptops -

I just got a call my from insurance adjuster. Im not to blame for the accident officially so I should be getting some money the first week of jan. Super excited, I get my van fixed(or replaced) and some cash. I might still go budget but at least ill be able to get a 3060ti build going for 1500. Im thinking a i7 14th gen and skip the gpu, save then drop cash on a 4090 suprim or hof. I would really enjoy some games at 4k, when i do get gaming I find it relaxing and somewhat enjoyable, I just have a hard time sitting down and forcing myself to continue for hours as I did when I was a teenager. As for future proofing, when does the 5090 come out? eta? it might be smarter to just stick with a 3006ti and wait. As for cable mod, it aggitates me reading about it because they are such A's and I can't imagine how frusturated bro @Papusan is.
