whoops wrong thread

haha thats cool thanks for sharing. I noticed you don't post in the desktop thread anymore, electrosoft was just stating his opinion not like he is upset. was just weird a small minor quibble and you vanish. you are like MR fox in that thread, not the same without. but anywho. Im really looking forward to this game, not because of the graphics this time, as everything seems to have stopped evolving the last 20 years but because it looks like alot of fun, only time will tell if the side missions are any good.

haha @electrosoft no im not collecting them but now I have 4 laptops and 1 tablet, i think im covered for youtube haha. I will resist buying a desktop but I already know its going to happen, next purchase is likely a desktop with a 3060ti and then in a few months a 4090 if I can even find one. I would take back the laptops if I could but it was an impulsive purchase, I need to stop spending like leaves falling in the autumn, I really want a oled monitor like what @tps3443 has and a decent desktop but I usually have like 900 left and a desktop for 900 isnt possible with a 3060ti here in canada! or is it? -
Im more passive with opinions on ai being a threat, but you can't help but wonder the future of humans if AI does surpass us intellectually.

interesting video

thanks for sharing 🙂 It got stellar reviews. I saw it dropped in price and for around 700 cad its probably the best deal one can get for a general usage laptop.

@raptorddd Would you be ok with a new laptop? like if I bought you something decent and affordable would that help? I saw your laptop in your sig and thought about it, im on disability but live in canada and might help you out

dare I say mini led is great but oled. You could put a oled display on that sucker, but Im not talking very technical. I have no idea what a mini led looks like compared to a oled but from my jump from a standard 4k triluminos pro sony tv as a monitor to my vivobook oled display, the difference is massively in favor of the vivobook and suprisingly I use the vivobook for hours a day just for consumption and chess. also sir I got a laugh out of the picture proof, welp that puts the nail in the coffin concerning that arguement. hahaa. sometimes eh, hard getting through to people

@Clamibot have you looked into OLED laptops? I just bought a vivobook OLED and for general use with its 12th gen 12500h its not too shabby. not suggesting a oled laptop for your use case but I highly recommend an oled display for your dream laptop -
Yeah I know Linus did a video on it and the results were they noticed it. I personally don't notice or care once latency hits 30ms but some people are sensitive to it so I understand

Mmm lobster lol. Man if I lived in nova Scotia or newfoundland I'd live at the restaurant

No kidding. Feels like ww3 has already begun.

it already is! geforce now was sold out not long ago. when a monitor has 0.2ms vs 20ms on paper its like 100 times faster but in use you are not going to notice it. once you hit 20-30ms its not noticeable but you will notice it at around 40ms up. its similar to the 60hz vs 120hz argument. some will notice, most will not.

woah just got an idea to buy gta 1 and 2, would be fun. it was fun back in 1999 and I don't see why not. or maybe ill give vice city another go. one thing i will say is the voice acting is in its own league and the stories are always enthralling.

broke down and bought a vivobook oled and now I have 4 laptops and still thinking about buying a galaxybook2 pro its a steal at 900 new. Im getting 5-6 hours normal usage and I think gunning to for 10 isnt a realistic goal. physics will play a role in longevity I think their is a limit on what a certain system is able to do I don't see this changing until graphene batteries become a thing.

I still think its not a big deal being slower than a laptop 2080. the 3060 laptop is more or less equal to a desktop 3060 and the fact you can get thin and light laptops with decent temps and 3060 desktop performance at a fair price its a good thing. the 4090 on the other hand costs an arm and leg to get in your hands. the cheapest 4090 laptop ive seen in canada is over 4000. and now with geforce now being efficient enough to use i think eventually these dedicated systems are dying a slow death.

haha, man. its nvidia. im sure theres a good reason(cough money) but I dont see why the 3060 doesnt have a 256bit bus im sure theres a reason but I think thats the culprit

ive loaded a game onto ram before using ramdisk. it was faster but the biggest improvement in snappiness for me has been atlas os being properly installed it was so fast that i didnt get the chance to blink before a program loaded. general use it was impressive, if this vivobook had 2 ssd slots id have it on one and stock on another. btw have you heard of de crapifier? im having great success with it i had about 230-280 processes in the background and ran chis tituses extreme windows tweaks along with it and the processes dropped to 80 and its not even a modified windows it has the store and all the apps and functionality but it was extremely fast im still experimenting with tweaks but somehow someway atlas os just feels years ahead.
