The site could you better image posting qualities
Reciever replied to kojack's topic in Site Suggestions
For the time being, no. Bear in mind we are not running ads and paying for this completely out of pocket, which means certain things have to be kept lean. 50 MB per member. If you need more space, you will need to delete older pictures that you dont want to retain, or use Image hosting sites. The forums software embeds pictures from outside sources really well. We are working on changing this in the near future and creating additional ways for Forum members to have additional privileges. As obviously image hosting sites can delete their older content as well. -
Excellent work, how is the fitment looking so far with the bezel?

I have a semi functioning state for what I was thinking of trying for Reviews, we may give it a shot just a trial run and see how it goes, but im sure if people will be up for the idea. Think similarly to how I handle the Internal Forum announcements, and then having a separate sub-forum for the discussions. This keeps the announcements themselves uncluttered, but also creates an avenue for discussion. Here is what I was thinking, same vein as the above. However members will make their "review" and when ready submit it for approval by the Editor or Moderator. Editors would simply ensure that its not a troll/spam post and approve. Editors would also have no ties to vendors. Lastly Members can rate their own level of pedigree in terms of "review". It could be a casual review, much in the vein you see for things like Amazon, or it can be Amateur where you start to see more data. This is so that members can already know what to expect before going into the thread. People can ask their questions in the relevant Official threads where we would want discussion to take place originally, and the hook can be the Reviews that people provide based on if they want to provide that here. For the Front page, currently I am aiming for a curated news section that will update in real time, this forum software would call it a widget it seems. It was one of the defining attractions of one of the other forums I used to surf some time ago before they were bought and sold a few times. @Raiderman This is mostly due to my approach to money, since this is a joint endeavor I want to make sure I do right by my good friend @Hiew. I already almost never talk to any of my family due to them ripping me off several times over, its not to say that Hiew is uncooperative, Im just quite hesitant on that front. That all being said, he's been footing the bill for the forum since its inception, so I want to alleviate that as much as possible. -

Yes but I think if people want to contribute we can arrange some kind of sub/contribution model that not only increases their own privileges but scales to other members to some degree. More engagement should be encouraged typically speaking under normal business models, but this forum is straight out of pocket for now which limits things. Obviously many use the forum and that hasnt changed sicne we started this thing up, hasnt crashed and burned yet so I think its time to begin some investments of my own and open up those avenues. -

@Papusan Yes that is exactly right. Im trying to set up a time to work with my friend for getting us more storage options. Its been on my mind for some time, even before all the drama occurred due to this exact issue. -

Yes. Free only takes you so far in terms of image hosting on this forum. I am hoping to get that changed, but it is what it is for the time being. -
I grow tired of your passive aggressive victim perspective that you tend to respond with based on what ever mood you happened to decide upon that particular morning. Its not healthy. Its the same advise I give to people who cant tell the difference between 125hz vs 1000hz polling rates, the same advice I give for people who cant tell the difference between 60hz vs 144hz+, same for 1080p vs 1440p vs 2160p, 1Gbps ISP vs 200Mbps. etc etc No one, including myself, ever stated you cant ask questions or enter dialogue, all I DID SAY, is if you are satisfied with the product you have then its best to just enjoy what you have versus looking at the grass that appears to be greener in another yard. As its not something that can be described well to the point of ascertaining exactly what you will be getting from a product. It needs to be experienced, and that is expensive, especially if you are 12 boards in and still haven't found your "end game". If you cant learn to stop assuming intent and instead ask clarifying questions to ascertain intent, you will continue to have a feedback like this in the future. This, I guarantee you, is directed at you @ryan.

That is a HUGE rabbit hole question. Honestly speaking here, if you are pleased with what you have then just leave it at that. It will save you a lot of money, time and frustration lol.

You are not only shifting goal posts, but playing a different sport altogether. I didnt speak to Twitters Financial worth at all. If you want to go that route, youtube, not the parent company is around 180 Billion in 2022

You'd have to present it first

Twitter was pretty universally acknowledged as worse than YouTube comments. Also IIRC Twitter has a new CEO now?

Never heard of secure mode, but for a safe mode there is a few ways. None of which are easier than the desired method but I guess that's the down side to Asus? They might been using that same key since long before windows 10 + advanced startup was a thing. -

True, doesnt follow my checklist either from a foundational standpoint. That being said, its a halo product, never meant to be a mass production option. That being said I would be interested to see if its possible to solder on a different CPU much in the same vein as the Prema/Dsanke mods for Clevo's -

Really depended on the game, and if the Dev wanted to support it or not. I typically ran SLI as a default mode of operation, still would if I could. -
If my understanding is correct, this falls into "Power Metal". Im the slow burner type, I can enjoy Iced Earth and Blind Guardian for 15 years before stumbling on something new. I say that like im old lol, got into rock stuff at 12 and 13 was guided to Metal by a much older gentleman that my parents would most certainly disapprove of. Guess my generation will also be the last of "back in my day, music came on CD's and Vinyls and we listened on headphones with cables"
