Neither of those systems come with official support. If they didn't support windows out of the box it would be a highly illogical choice to make based on that criteria. You would probably be looking at Dell since they officially support Ubuntu iirc and maybe perhaps Lenovo.

Mgpu is around, only difference is amd/Nvidia have no plans to support it. So it's very dev dependent.

When ever I fall on hard times I tend to low backwards than forwards in terms of gaming/entertainment. Cell phones can do wonders with emulation these days, but I also have a PSP for emulation. In fact tomorrow I will be finishing up a big battery mod so it can last around 15 hours with full brightness and mild overclock.

It could also be that AMD is trying to deflate the hype train. Honestly considering how many times people expect AMD to take them to the moon only to be shown the observatory has hurt their image just as much as their marketing for Vega did.

I suspect this to be largely true, save for they also set the precedent for failing to do anything with the HEDT market. Sadly, this means they have precedent for two truths to be in play. Supporting a platform for the masses such as AM4, of which I benefit from personally (my bias) and also ditching HEDT which also expected (whether justified or not, I dont know) that support. Though, its also true (sadly) that most of the AM4 market will not know this or care, while the HEDT market is probably pretty miffed since on an individual level, invested much more into that platform by comparison. This isnt to throw shade on AMD, just that I was hoping for them to have a cleaner record generally.

All roads lead back to the soldering iron. Recently had to fix my own tools at work since the "engineering department" only manages to scratch off the pad rendering it destroyed. Since I had been following a fair number of exploits by various NBR members I knew I could lightly scratch the covering for the trace and soldered a wire to the pin for my usb port. Fully operational. Sometimes I question engineers lack of motivation. Career specialist best by a 10 dollar iron and 10 minutes of youtube lol Though I did try to use solder wick as solder and without paste, while not plugged in. Baby steps. Next little project is soldering a 4000Mah battery to my homebrew PSP, I think its supposed to be good for 15+ hours of continuous use after that. Not my idea of course.

The one modification that I wanted to try was removing 2x SODMM slots under the keyboard, this would permit for a MXM 3.0b card in a 15.6" frame. At the time I simply ripped them out, traces and all which naturally didnt work. would've been better if I attempted to desolder, not sure what possessed me to go that route lol.

Its the idea that meme coins can be used to offset potential losses from the larger coins iirc, its happened a few times. I dont follow it as much as I had before though. More interested to see the AMD reviews in December, I guess they are expecting the Holiday season to kick start the sales?

I wouldnt look to Dogecoin for GPU mining speculation, wrong algorithm (ASIC) I would keep an eye on Ergo and Raven, could be 1-2 more that I am unaware of but the former doesnt have universal adoption in the markets. That all being said looking forward to when the reviews drop for AMD GPU's

Dont really need larger heatsinks when you have fans with significantly higher static pressure. Though due to its distance from the heatsink and the card you could always get larger heatsinks if you plan to take it to extremes. I like big air coolers, my bias is showing lol Currently my 3090 is like 4.5 slots due to the heatsinks I have on the backplate

I am unsure if the two are linked, would be surprised if they are.

Looks interesting, reminds me of the CoolerMaster V10 scenario. Some people modded those for much more capacity and it actually worked at that point.

The home I am currently renting is 2 stories, is not wired up as of right now. The modem/router from AT&T is currently active though none of my personal devices are using it. Modem (Fiber)/ Router (broadcasting) with my AX50 connected to it, broadcasting its own network 2.4Ghz/5Ghz on Auto - 20Mhz / AC - 80Mhz. Its set to strict AC mode since the best I can get with the C9 is AC 80Mhz via WDS. The Precision 7810 is a workstation which is located up stairs for now which is also a part time miner for at least until around Feb/March of next year when temperatures start to pick back up which is also why I was entertaining it to be used for steam streaming since its already a GPU heavy system. I am about to acquire 3x 7810's from work as well which is another motivating factor for overhauling the network infrastructure. I have a couple of switches but I believe both are 1Gb, 1 smaller 8 port unmanaged and 1x 16 port unmanaged. I also have 2x 4-port 1Gb NIC expansion cards and 1x 2 port 1Gb NIC. Perhaps I could pick up an SFP+ expansion card and wire everything straight into the PC running pfsense/opensense which would basically be a 7810. Its way more power consumption than a standard router of course but I figure I can worry about that later if needed after establishing a proof of concept first. I could move my storage there as well which is around 30TB over a bunch of older drives. In total I'll have 4x 7810's but 2 of the them I will want to probably dedicate to HomeLabesque workloads. They are 20c/40t systems and I have 256GB RAM that I can give to 2 of the systems (128GB each), these will probably be located in the Garage. The only issue I'll probably have is getting decent storage for each system. I also have a Precision 5820x which is much newer with a 9800x and 32GB of DDR4. Its not compatible with the DDR4 ram that I have for the other systems. Oh and also want to set up an internet facing game server as @Hiew has challenged me to set up a Linux box. The hardware I have set aside for it is a Micro Optiplex 7060 i7 8700T with 32GB RAM. I'll try and get a layout made of the home after work so that we have a visual aid. Thanks @Custom90gt

Its working as it should, silly mishap in config and Im chasing the problem back into its rabbit hole haha I havent had time for additional tuning quite yet, work kept me awfully busy. Should have some more time tomorrow.
