  1. No, Google. Go back to being just a search engine. At this rate I'll be a massive critic of "AI" by the time I'm 30, this year.
  2. Those ones look physically correct. Doesn't look like the part code matches on the images there, but it's worth enquiring. I've never had AVC fans in my Dell so I can't say.
  3. Delta fans have a distinctive impeller, that doesn't look slanted upright like AVC/Sunon do. On the rear it should say DELTA ELECTRONICS embossed in the upper left.
  4. Possibly eBay is your best bet. The part number is 02K3K7 for the CPU fan. 00WGVF is for the GPU fan. OK I checked on my unit and it has those part codes.
  5. This has also been in my head non-stop for five years.
  6. Depends what brand your current system has. Delta's the quietest IIRC. The other part of it is the heatsink for the processor, as there is a dual heatpipe and single heatpipe version.
  7. To be honest if it was me for photography I'd be going Macbook Air/Pro. Not sure of those new Snapdragon Windows machines (ew no.)
  8. At least the palmrest can be replaced. When I got my 7540 it was missing most screws and it only had one heatspreader for the main SSD. Usually they come with all heatspreaders. Whoever worked on it cheaped out, a LOT. Even the SSD was not original and was in bad shape enough to be discarded.
  9. Pay me if you want my data and use my data, Microsoft.
  10. Looks like someone really screwed up. Is this something you bought recently? Mine doesn't exhibit that.
  11. Xperia 10VI. Narrow, though and it's difficult to type at a reasonable pace on it.
  12. Optimus is an option on eDP boards, but is only allowed if the M4800 has a 1080p eDP LCD. You can downgrade to a nice FHD panel to enable Optimus, though.
  13. The only thing I'd use it for is to display 💩 emoji. Why must everything need a display panel?
  14. I don't know what I just did, but my 7540's come back from the dead after installing a new keyboard as I was considering buying a replacement motherboard.
  15. It's a familiar characteristic to my old MBP 13 Retina 2013, where its fan would make a little zip noise when it spins up. After a week of setting the Legion up the way I wanted it to be, I started hearing the same thing but it's every time the fans would spin up it would make the zip noise. Prior to this it wouldn't make any sound cue of the fans turning on, other than the subtle woosh of air. It's only been on my desk in a dust-free surrounding and have taken care of it, but I'm pretty sure fans should last way longer than this. I have warranty I don't know what the fan brands are, so I can't correlate if it is brand-specific... I've read that AVC, Delta and FCN are the brands Lenovo uses. The performance is pretty good for me even in Power Saving mode, I don't do competitive games and I'd hate to actually rethink my choice, again. It feels like a good laptop, but I question the reliability of the fans for something intended to game. Anyone else with similar models with that kind of thing going?
  16. I'm currently looking for a sleeve that would fit the 15.1 OLED Legion 5i Gen 10, but I'm personally finding it difficult since the laptop is in my opinion a non-standard size. It's a nice looking laptop that I want to keep it in pristine condition.
  17. Been a while again, anxiety cropped up and it was debilitating to do anything for a few weeks. I've got bad news on my 7540, and I think it's suffered the same fate my M4800 had after electrical problems in the house. But it would boot, but after many attempts at a time it would boot eventually. I don't think I can use it as a daily driver anymore and I think it's time I embrace newer technology and move towards the newer generation of laptops. I'm an imminent owner of a Lenovo Legion soon. If it does just turn out to be a simple fix then great, but otherwise it's been fun (and stressful getting it just right.)
  18. I had the Delta fan in my unit for some time. But I've come to the conclusion at this point considering how often this happens, I might ditch the 7540 entirely and look for a more modern (just as easy to fix and inexpensive) laptop. On a regular basis, the fan on my right side would rattle, which was a common characteristic I had with my M4800. Like, as if something was stuck and hitting the blades. I airdusted it, it goes away. It returns after being turned off overnight until the next day. The thing is, unlike the M4800 where it's a no-brainer to remove the fan I have to take off the keyboard and palmrest to get to it, and unscrew the heatsink and risk spoiling the thermal paste just to take the impeller off. Such fun having to trial and error every time I use the laptop to get the thing to stop buzzing. EDIT: Buzzing is there permanently now. Come on... I'm honestly finished with this. EDIT2: Well I'm not giving up just yet, I'm trying the trick I did with the M4800 in the past with vaseline on the pole of its impeller. I think it has worked...
