Are you able to get past that 1.435 volts using that software? Hummm, mine is still sitting at default with a max of 3 drives, but I took two out for the time being. Still using the single fan though as the fan is for the ram. Love this controller! I had the 40W version, but when they came out with the 60W version I grabbed it as each of my fans can pull between 20W to 44W max depending on voltage coming from the PSU. -

That is why they called, They were trying to give me my money back but I was trying to see if they would be getting more later. If they were, then I would hold out and be in the first group of folks getting blocks. But what I took from the conversation is....I think these blocks are going to be no more. And if so, I don't want to mod this one as I might put it up for sale as well. I'm still thinking on it. I did try ordering that block but the payment would not go through. It kept timing out. That block is going to be a keep for lots of gpus to come... -

Well....EVGA just called and said they have no replacement block nor do they have a current ETA on getting any new ones in. Any one have a Block for sale? -

I could have done that before, but our Microcenter has went through a complete overhaul with 99% all new people. I'm just now getting introduced to these other folks from the regular manager, floor and cashier people now.🤦♂️ -

I got mine from Microcenter. It's and EK, but also my other blocks fit as well. This board I haven't added the backplate just yet. -

As long as it's turned on in the bios it will work. It controls either bclk or multipliers, over clock retry and over clock save boot. Also clear cmos. Yes, was thinking about auxiliary power. Cool, thanks. -

I left out that part about going to the restroom. lol Yes, there is quite a bit to go though. I'm wonder if not having the extra power to the board is going to make a really big difference. Did you cpu come with the original box? if so, does it have any numbers on it? Edit: did yours come with the over clock module? -

I hear ya. I was a bit under the weather for the last few days, but nothing serious. Just a common cold. Hope you feel better. I already like this board better than my extreme, not so sure against the Apex or the Kingpin Dark, but time will tell. -

Well... you can do 6600mhz (My kit only - 6400Mhz G.Skill Trident Z5) on this board with 1.3V/1.3V/1.3V and basically their timings which are slightly above XMP. Out of the box. I couldn't get 6400Mhz stable with all the voltage or no voltage in the world. lol -

Well these 6400's are suspect on this board. So there is always that.😄 And I have a new found relationship with Asus after it recovered being half submerged in antifreeze.🙂 These are the G.Skill Trident Z5 6400Mhz. Still trying to understand how these guys are getting these things super stable though.😄 -

I have been using it for a long time. I had swapped it out when I was at your house as to not contaminate your gpu or gpu loop. Ah, got it! next up....I don't see how to do the the rep. It let me do it the first day, but now I don't see it for me. Edit: Got it. -

Going to have to work on that picture posting. I forgot I changed the size for my EVGA warranty request. No, no damage. Just showing the aftermath before the clean up. And yes, 50/50 antifreeze. Same as in my car. They say these boards are suppose to detect water and shut off and not power back on. suspect that is what happen this time as I tried to power it back on before removing all heat sinks and I got nothing, but the led lights. So after detailing the board I thought I would test it one more time and it powered on. I was quite surprised so shut down really quick as I did not have a heat sink on. And now it seem to be up and running. Humm, I cant seem to get the pictures to zoom. Trying again. -

This was under 50/50 radiator fluid. Side note. My chip is SP89 with this bios. And the factory bios says it's a 90 -

Yep, this would be the second time, that is correct. And this thing was leaking from 3 screws, the manifold on both sides. I was thinking of taking it apart, but like you. hell no! This thing is a nightmare to take a part and if you break or damage the O-ring then you are really out of luck! I did tighten a few of the screws as i noticed they were all loose, but the block is still leaking from other places. When it happened I was like why my computer cut off then seen the liquid all over the place. luckily I had flipped my PSU over about a week earlier or i would be replacing that as well.🤦♂️ -

Sooooooooo....Friday night Hydrocopper water block springs like 4 leaks and soaks my Asus Maximus Z690 Extreme board under a ton of liquid. Board cuts off and wont power back on. I chalk it up as a lost cause and do my clean up of board. After my cleaning the board, the board powered back on and seems to be working fine now. All I can say is WOW! Kingpin seems to be fine as well as I had to stock it back up to make sure it was in working order. time for RMA on this stupid block.
