Soooooooo, I have a KS sitting at Microcenter, but now back to having to get an Asus board to see what it is. Have they fixed the SP rating on the KS chips or is it still up in the air? -

That does seem to hold pretty true. So am I as. I did not power that board on either. (I did not want to take any chances with my new parts.) I would have been far more upset if they tried to decline the return, but it was pretty painless. Still a serious inconvenience though, as they do not have cross shipping nor advanced RMA. -

After calling them back they and said the board wasn't fixed, they issued a second rma and paid for return shipping. they are issuing me a "new board to me". Not sure how long that is going to take though. The 1600W Super Nova rma was issued on a Wednesday night. Shipped out Thursday morning, they received it Friday morning and shipped new psu Friday morning and I got that on Saturday. Talk about fast return! The Kingpin was the same way, but took 1 day longer in the process. -

Soooooooooo. I get my Unify X board back today and go ahead and put it back on the bench and low and behold...It's not fixed! 🤬🤬 For what I sent it in for it looks like all they did was clean the board somewhat and put it in a new box and shipped it back! Saying it was fixed. QC is crap! -

Exactly. Everyone is not rushing to by 12 series system. At least not in my line of work which is the pc industry. So 10 and 11 series system are perfectly fine. I deal with normal folks on a regular basis and about 98 percent of them are not talking about top of the line anything. budget is king! 😂 -

Now I'm in no way shape or form a good memory overclocker, but running this vs running latency at like 55+ and higher never ends well. -

Hummm, he must have another video showing what he did....4133 cl15 from what exactly? Running 7000Mhz for what again exactly? He could have ran 6400 mhz and lower the timings to get the desired affect instead of bragging with the look at me running 7000mhz on water at cl32.🤦♂️ The higher the mhz the higher the read/write/copy speed is, not the latency. In the end he is right that one does not need to upgrade to ddr5 at the moment, but then everyone is entitled to their own decisions... I didn't use a chiller to break 16k, did it on the AIO which I previously thought was like impossible. Due to my first sample. Can do like 15.8 to 15.9k (Port Royal)on 520W vbios as well. I was lazy there as I did not dial anything specific in just tried a few things to see what would happen. You run out of watts long before temps kill you off. Also yes, I'm using the 1K vbios, but have the 520 and 480 on position 1 and 2. -

Thanks. I just set NVVDD 1.2V and MSVDD 1.1V and that's it. Your card is a good one as it already had high memory over clocking and is able to run constantly above 2220 MHZ core. My best card was crying at 2165 core / 1400 memory -

I can attest to this...My first card was a dude on memory over clocking and not that good on core with AIO and with water block. This current card on just AIO pretty much beat everyone of mine and just about every one else's records. So yes, good binned card on AIO or even Air can run circles around well cooled bad binned cards. -

Looking at that heat sink it looks way better than the 3090 original one. Starting at 12:15 Also Jacob has confirmed that these 3090 TI FTW cards are all binned. Open yours to see what is written on the die. 😆 -

Do a system restart or a driver reset next time. That should correct the problem. Speculations of course. What is this run considered? -

On my older card...about memory=1250 to 1400 and on core=150 to 180 on a really good day. New to me card. memory=1700+ and core=240+ Yes and this is where AMD is still smacking the stuffing out of Nvidia right now.... Stuck on 800Mhz does not look very inviting to potential buys....😆 -

Thanks! Yes, I remember just getting to the section where you ran into a string of bad luck right when the forums went offline.... The board I tested it on was a 400 dollar Strix board. I should have looked at the other settings, but I was rushing. Had the board booted up for all of 2 minutes because I was in a rush. -

Maybe, but they could have just went about it the easy way though.😄 Thanks bro! I'm like thinking the same same thing myself.. Hoping there is no other shoe to drop. -

Not sure if I'm having good luck or bad luck... 1: Hydro copper Water blocks cracks and leaks all over motherboard so I thought. 2: EVGA issues refund as they do not know if they are getting any new blocks in. 3: Asus Maximus Z690 Extreme can't run 6400 Trident Z5 in XMP so board gets axed and replaced with MSI Unify-X 4: Pump goes out on water block so 3090 KPE gets RMA'd. They cant fix it so they give me "new to me" 3090 KPE. Card is a beast! 5: I find brand new Hydro Copper block on EVGA forums and purchase so I have a water block for cards return. 6: Put water block on and card shows more improvements. 7: Now 1600 T2 starts acting funny. People say run Time Spy and it will tell you if your PSU is bad. Funny thing is, I was running Time Spy and it would just cut off and computer would restart. 8: One the phone with EVGA explaining the problem and now the cpu red light is staying on. Over clock panel is staying on and also the reset button is lit up. People with these boards know that these lights are all off when the board is powered off. EVGA as to restart and pop. PSU goes out and gives video card a PXE power error. Now I'm in panic mode thinking that something just happened to my beasty GPU. I swap PSU's and it boots and card is fine. (Close call!) I reconnect 1600W T2 and now board wont power on. PSU is on it's way to RMA. 9: With 1200W PSU the CPU light, reset button and over clock panel are still on. Calls MSI and now that board is on it's way to RMA. 10: So now i grab another board to keep me busy, but was not about to buy another Asus board as they did not have the Apex so I grab a MSI Unify board, and of course trying to run two sticks on a 4 dimm board at rated speeds is a project, but not as hard as it was with the extreme board. While there I decide to check some of the boxes against the batch number I got from Mr. Fox a few weeks ago, but they are well into the 200 range at my Microcenter so i'm like...uhgggg. And the MC employee is also curios about the new batch numbers. So I take a chance and grab one just to see. Get home and the chip boots and seems to run fairly well with crappy memory timings. So now im wondering what kind of chip i got in the lottery. Go back to Microcenter and they don't do chip testing so I grab another Asus board and test. I lucked up on a SP98. Wow! Now all this is to say.....had my water block not boke when it did.....I would still be back where I was. So what kind of luck would you call that?😆 -

Now that board is going right back. MC said they didn't have an Asus board on the bench for testing unfortunately. -
