where are people grabbing the i7 4980hq mutants ? i need one for my alienware 18 atm i have a 4930mx fine cpu but the 128mb l4 cache really helps with a lot of games plus the iris being as fast as a gt740 will make things feel less sluggish since you have to use IGPU in windows also for those wanting 4050s in these i think we need above 4g decoding

I have an Alienware 18 with a 4930mx . I'm on a15 . Is there an unlocked version of that bios ?

Oh this is nice to see im glad we have a new forum to chat on 🙂 im still running a rtx 4000 in my alienware 17 r1 . got it during the mning craze . its a good gpu but will not boost at all.

Mrfox is awesome helped me out a few times when I needed a m4000m modded :) ATM I'm looking at unlocking my bios . Since I have the ranger and I have a very odd screen the is edp but 60 hz yet Optimus works .??? Very odd plus opening up my laptop both display cables lvds and edp are plugged into the screen . Idk how bit they are . I got my ranger used the guy bought a screen replacement I've tried u plugging either cable thinking maybe he made an error but with either cable unplugged results in the 8 beeps or so . So it's a weird configuration but it works and the screen looks great . Anyway point I'd I'll keep an eye out for an rtx . I did find a rtx 5000 for 600 hp but I'll then need a bios chip and programmer . Long story short of anyone can provide a tutorial on flashing the a17 unlocked bios od appreciate it

really cool to see a new forum about our alienwares since tech inferno and notebook check both went away i have a ranger r 1 . i see a bunch of hp quadro 3 4 and 5 k cards i thgought the hp ones lacked a vbios as the informations was loaded into the zbook v bios . am i incorrect ?
