After all I count myself lucky as the CPU came after delidding like this (caused by the transport company, but bad glueing is to be blamed either of course..): still working….😳😊
-
Yes, this is with the new HS. It added around 350g to the weight of the Laptop.

OK, LM on GPU, CPU is delidded with LM applied between the die and the IHS. Max GPU temp at 200W - 74,5C, CPU dropped a good 6-7C from the delidding. I am done with this P775TM1, it is as it is: (160\800 stable) First photo of HWiNFO is before delidding, second is after

Congrats!!! great temps! but why only 29K with 200W 2080 Super 170/1000? I get 31K with 2080 200W 175/1000 and 9900K…don‘t get it…?🤔

Which CPU have you delidded? 9900K is soldered to the IHS so not much point of delidding it…

P775 TM1G question about purchasing a heatsink from aliexpress
MiRaGe replied to the jg89's topic in Sager & Clevo
No, absolutely no point in doing this. It will only result in heating the motherboard unnecessarily up. The point is the CPU’s heat to be transferred outside the chassis not inside.- 79 replies

P775 TM1G question about purchasing a heatsink from aliexpress
MiRaGe replied to the jg89's topic in Sager & Clevo
CPU is impossible to get cooled bellow 99-100C under 100% load at 4.7GHz. But it holds longer at full speed without throttling. At 4.4GHz it was 99-100 after hour of gaming, now it is 92-93. RTX 2080 200W (160/800OC) hits 77-79C when CPU is at 4.7Ghz full speed. (before was 85-87C) When CPU is at 4.4Ghz, the GPU max out at 75C. If no O/C is applied and the default 150W vBios is used, I suppose it won’t heat up above 63-65C. This laptop starves for Liquid Metal. I am really interested in what your result is going to be!- 79 replies

P775 TM1G question about purchasing a heatsink from aliexpress
MiRaGe replied to the jg89's topic in Sager & Clevo
I re-padded with some softer 12.8 w/mk and it is better than before, but comparing with the stock heatsink - only 2-3C on the GPU side and 5-6C on the CPU side. Definitely it’s not worthing 200€. I still do think I'll get better results with stock heatsink + liquid metal (LM works awfuly on the modded heatsink, I tried it)- 79 replies

P775 TM1G question about purchasing a heatsink from aliexpress
MiRaGe replied to the jg89's topic in Sager & Clevo
Unfortunately this heatsink turned to be a great disappointment for me. It was hardly better than the original one on the GPU side, the CPU was around 7-10C better but still reached 100C occasionally… the worst part is that the GPU hotspot reaches the absurdly high 96-98C. also it doesn’t make a good contact with the VRam on the right side… I am going to use the original one with new thermal pads and liquid metal on both GPU and CPU side.- 79 replies

Your measurement is wrong. You will have problems with overheating VRMs I got mine, wait a bit until I assembly everything and I will give you info. don’t run your system with the pad’s thickness you’ve used.- 79 replies

Your case is easier - just pull the CMOS battery off for 30 secs. it should boot afterwards. -

Nothing personal, but I would never spend this amount of money on a laptop ever. Especially when it devalues itself twice - the moment it gets out of the store and one more time an year later… With 6K€ you would have a PC monster which would wipe away 90% of the market performancewise.

Kleinanzeigen doesn‘t have 11% fees..😉

And you decided to list it even higher than 2299 which was already high enough😂 greetings from Germany

I went through the entire thread but couldn‘t find your OCed results of 2080S in TimeSpy… could you tell me your graphics pts with +250 mem/180 core?
-
Can you tell me what your result with O/C looks like? Is your 2080S 150W or 200W?

Is your 2080S O/Ced?
