I know. But not the real deal from Galax. And I think the KFA2 come with castrated board power. Galax probably bin their chips pretty hard. The best chips will go to the "Galax" branding. Not that this is a bad card. Probably one of the better out there.

The Galax touch on this 4090 card isn't worth a dime if the KFA2 model is treated as their unwanted stepchild. And why use the well known Galax Hood on the box? So peple think they get Galax quality and performance? Maybe because of the 4th fan on the backplate as the real Galax cards? This would be the same as put an Porche logo on a small and weak VW Golf 1.3 (Stupid for the masses).

With an additional 13%, you can increase the power limit of the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4090 SG to about 510 watts. Nvidia's Founders Edition even allows for up to 600 watts, and the Palit GeForce RTX 4090 GameRock OC only 500 watts. But in practice this doesn't play a major role, since only in the rarest cases the power limit of 450 watts is even reached.

It bothers me a lot when people outside of a country think of themselves as being well-versed or knowledgable about things which they know absolutely nothing. It really exposes the degree to which they are hopelessly lost imbeciles. They have no earthly idea how utterly full of crap they are because they believe the nonsense they see/hear on TV and on social media, which is almost entirely fabricated, severely misrepresented or taken out of context. It bothers me even more when people that live in the same country, and are best equipped to identify the lies, are incapable of identifying truth versus fiction when it goes against the narrative of the agenda or cause they have chosen to believe in. The world we live in is circling the drain and numbskulls like that are accelerating the destruction. I think the end of days is probably closer than we think, and won't be any kind of "environmental" tragedy that shakes our Etch-A-Sketch. It will be the irrational hatred of one-another and rejection of truth and goodness that have become hallmark traits of the largely-retarded human race.

Because the main target group is in Asia. Just look at all the cards with kids theme (Anime) on hardware sold for that region. White, Gold and pastel is very popular. Maybe not your taste?😀

It seems like the undesirable overpriced junk is the only thing available for most people to buy. The desirable overpriced junk is sold out. I am kind of surprised to see people buying 4080 in volume. Not that everyone wants the best GPU money can buy, because we know that is not the case. Just that they're willing to pay the price that the best option is worth to own the not-the-best option. Maybe it is just poor judgment coming off of the cypto-craze and fear of having nothing. That said, I hope the availability of the peasant AMD and NVIDIA GPUs is due to a lack of desire to purchase them rather than an abundance of available stock. I can't think of a better Christmas present for AMD and NVIDIA than to have it rotting on store shelves because of not enough people interested in their second-rate garbage for them to continue manufacturing it.

Yeah, it's really repulsive to me. I guess if that is what floats your boat, it's all good. It all seems really goofy to me. Very effeminate cartoon garbage. Might as well be a Malibu Barbie or a Sesame Street GPU. If you're a big boy you can get the Ninja Turtles Edition and it comes with a share-size bag of Skittles.

Reviewers who have also managed to take a first look at various custom AMD Radeon RX 7900 series graphics cards have also reported inconsistent and fluctuating clock speeds on the cards. AMD had also promised up to +54% improvement in power efficiency but that was no where to be seen and the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture blew away RDNA 3 GPUs in all power efficiency metrics on review day.

Interesting stuff. I'm benchmarking my phone and gaming on it now. When something smaller than a piece of toast can deliver performance better than a xbox one and graphical fidelity equal to said. Hard to ignore it. Cell phone games are getting 500 million downloads plus and we'll I think consoles added to pc sales is a tenth of that. Cell phone gaming sadly is the future...they will become powerful enough to run games looking equal to pcs and be photo realistic. Can't get better than photo realistic. Wirelessly stream to a paper thin quantum oled. Or holographic gaming using hard light. Maybe high resolution ar glasses. The future is close and it will peak.

In the meantime I'll enjoy what's on offer and will enjoy benching until it vanishes.

Yeah, it looks like the 7900xt might (and should) suffer a hard case of either "4080-itis" or fall victim to the overpriced 7950xt price cuts sooner than later.

$799.99 at a min or even $699.99 but after the holidays and after the initial rush dies down I think we'll see some price adjustments on both sides (outside of the 4090).

Wow, you are one of the last people I would suspect of truly supporting cloud gaming. I guess with sky-high hardware costs just paying per use becomes more appealing, especially for more occasional gaming. That said, I imagine they found it hard to compete with the consoles.

I am not personally interested in it, even a little bit, but I know that some people are. Knowing that some people were very excited when Stadia started and sad when it stopped, it makes me sad for their sake.  My employer has pretty much everything built on or around Google services and they are a lot like Microsoft. They frequently eliminate features and services that people like. It's seems as if they get their jollies by giving good things just so they can play god by taking them away later, or changing things that are not broken just to get people pissed off about it.

To play the devil's advocate, some people being excited about something doesn't make it a viable business. Still, I agree it seems like a strange move.

LOOL. I don’t torture my cards. I just give them some love🙂 But thanks.

Nope, not in this sentence. Zotac had a much better design before. And in the older days you got more for your money regarding overclocking out from the factory custom cards. What do they offer you today for massive premium? 100MHz at best? Probably less. I have a lot more fun playing with the older cards. Make very good bench results with new modern cards need sub zero temps, fab custom firmware and support from the AIB partner (reserved for Elite benchers).

Yeah, totally agree with that. They're not a non-profit charity and if there is no money being made it would make sense that they would get rid of it as a business product. I would not blame them in that respect, and I would not think differently in their shoes either. But, the behavior of killing what people value and appreciate, and implementing change purely for the sake of change fits the pattern we see without reference to the financial aspects.

I have a lot more fun playing with the older cards. Make very good bench results with new modern cards need sub zero temps, fab custom firmware and support from the AIB partner (Elite benchers).

ZOTAC Gives the GeForce GTX 980 Ti a Massive 25% Factory Overclock

So, pretty much par for the course. Seems like that is the case for almost all brands. Pay more, get less.

Excellent! I hope to get my Z690 Dark built again this week/weekend. I've been down for the better part of this week with the FLU. Thought I had COVID again, but turned out to be FLU A. The kicker is that for the first time in a long time I got the FLU vaccine and then I get a nasty bout of it for the first time in years. Yay.

Sorry to hear you have been sick. Might have been the flu "vaccine" that caused it. Almost everyone I know that jumped through the hoops with the experimental COVID shots have been less healthy than those that haven't played the guinea pig game.

Dang 😵🤯😮

But Nvidia ain't much better bro John. They have now blocked voltage control for 980Ti from 4090 release driver 522.25 and the same also the newer drivers. Click on the voltage control in MSI Afterburner and Nvidia inspector just put the voltage slider back to zero. They do nothing. I know you had to install newer MSI Afterburner Beta 2 for voltage control for RTX 4090. Hence I had it installed on my Win 10 OS. Then I tried to reinstall latest stable MSI Afterburnerer, but nope, same shiiity. Nothing happen. The sliders crash back in Zero. On two of my other ssds I have Win 7 and Win 8.1... And the voltage control work as intended bacuse of older drivers. Pervers!!! Ins't it nice bro @Mr. Fox ? Or you feel like this when you see how Nvidia do it for older cards? 🤮🤢🤮

Oh' well, will install other drivers for Win 10 later when I have the time. A few more benches from the old... The one Nvidia hate.
