I have owned several TeamGroup Delta DDR5 kits. They make good products, and the Delta RAM is some of the best money can buy. Better than G.SKILL in my opinion. 

 

One word of caution about them. Look at how they are shaped. The weird appearance is not the issue, but clearance problems could be. They presented a fairly serious clearance issue for my 3090 backplate waterblock. I had to move the waterblock to a less favorable position in order to install the memory.  Just something to be aware of, because the problem is not obvious until you encounter it.

 

If you need to RMA TeamGroup products, you have to pay to ship them back to Taiwan on your own dime and wait for them to process it. So, don't expect anything to happen fast if you have a problem after the easy return/refund period passes with the vendor you buy it from.

😁WOOT WOOT!!!  I went ahead and ordered the Team Group 7200C34 (2x16GB) A-Die DDR5. This kit is gonna RIPP on the 2 Dimm Unify-X and 13900KF. I’m gonna delid this CPU and crank out some serious numbers. 
 

I hate Newegg. They just had to wave that kit right in my face on the home page screen saying “Back in stock”

I don’t know my 11900K’s SP rating to this day. And it’s a freak of nature. 😄

 

same for the 7950X, SP ratings ive seen so far are veeery tightly grouped together, total range of maybe around 5-6. turns out i got a middle of the pack SP116, so far ive seen it range from like 113 to 119, along those lines.

haha yep, i only recently found out myself. plus lucky enough to have an ASUS board to read it out 😛 my learning curve is currently quite steep, so still feeling my way around Ryzen Master, all the Bios options and Ryzen CPU and RAM OC in particular. been out of the desktop game for so long its a bit overwhelming to have SO MANY TUNING OPTIONS ready on hand! 😅

new platform change. I usually upgrade my CPU annually. I feel like the CPU’s are just coming too fast at this point though. 
 

Looking at Newegg history, I bought my 11900K in September of 2021. And my 13900K was purchased in September of 2022. Well, that’s only 1 year, where is the time to possibly even enjoy a 12900K? 
 

Anyways, you’ve got a great CPU to ride out on for years. And I had no idea Ryzen was given an SP rating. But they are made by TSMC which is nothing short but the best in the business when it comes to silicon.

do you see the issue here? LOL as you said the CPUs keep coming way too fast hahaha. but yeah, i chose AM5 and invested in a monster mobo to at least have that settled for several years. RAM and CPUs will be frequent updates i gather!

Is it worth buying the TEAM group 7200 A-die sticks? I think you have some right, how do they overclock? They are back in-stock. I’m tempted here lol.  they did bump the price to $399.99 unfortunately though.. I only have some Vengeance 6000C36 sticks Samsung B-Die, and I feel like being on a Unify-X (2) Dimm motherboard with my 13900KF needs more than that. 

 

I've never tried them with a 13900K 2x dimm board yet. But using my 13900K and Hero board they boot up to 7800 CL34 which is crazy for a 4x dimm board. EVGA BIOS is F'd and can't clock higher than 7200 at the moment. Nothing works. Grrr. Starting to hate EVGA motherboards quickly. Honestly my Asus board is putting them to shame which should not be the case.

ASUS basically added it in all their BIOSes on Premium side. ROG Maximus / Crosshair series and up now will get that feature for Intel and AMD CPUs.

 

It is the same VID tables that CPU requests as per max voltage/frequency from factory and looks like AMD also started doing it with Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 launch in a way so that ASUS can tweak their SP rating algorithm to AMD silicon too.

 

I think this era of AMD and Intel almost all of the top end i9 / R9 stack will be super binned 90+ SP,  just look at the sheer frequencies both Zen 4 and Raptor Lake push it's 5.7 and 5.8GHz boost insanity and All core clocks at 5.4/5.5GHz unlocked power from factory. Back with 10th gen 5.4GHz all core stable is only high end chips top golden silicon. Now almost all of the top end can hit that on all cores sustained.

PS: All I have is liquid metal. But I wasn’t prepared to destroy my IHS so soon.

I would give it at least a week before tearing it apart.... Lowing the voltage does wonders for temps.🙂

Dude... yes you do. You're just not remembering. You have a brand new tube of TF7 in the box with that brand new Thermalrite CPU frame that I gave you as a freebie with the mobo. It comes with the CPU frame. And, TF7 is actually a decent compound, so you should be set.

Man, I can't believe how lazy I am getting. I just now put my water-cooled memory kit back in. I have been using the Sabrent memory I did the review for at ExtremeHW all this time because it was too much "effort" to insert it into the motherboard slots and connect two QDC fittings to the manifold.

As it stands, no one is beating Microcenters in house warranty on computer parts. And Best Buy with their triple the cost warranty is "trash" and take forever to do anything when a problem arises. I walked my 12900K in store with no muss no fuss. Cashier already knew what time it was because he had a guy on 4090 launch day come back in with a complete computer setup to swap out. 😂

 

For the most part I'm done losing big money on aging parts. Had I bought my Kingpins through them I would be sitting on 4500 right now.

 

If you do like me, then you only pay upgrade cost plus new warranty. And when the next card comes out you only pay the difference. She can't get mad then. Since she already got mad last year for the initial purchase.😄

 

 

 

Not from the US so not quite sure how this works. They have a relatively low cost plan where you can bring in a component that you bought from them and then you get to replace it with its successor? 

 

That kind of sounds too good to be true (and not very lucrative for Microcenter) so maybe I am missing something?

@Papusan I'm currently sorting out all the hardware to sell off after having finished setting up Hyperion. One of the things is to swap out the 850 Pro in my lady's machine with my previous 970 Pro. naturally, i dont wanna to a fresh install, since her system was only set up a few months ago. 

 

long story short: i wanna do some system disk cloning. used AOMEI Backupper twice, went through, but clone doesnt boot.

 

i remembered u highly recommending Macrium Reflect so I got myself a copy and currently doing another clone with it. any experiences to share with regards to system cloning? hoping third time's the charm 🙂 

 

her 1TB 850 Pro will then go up for sale. keep an eye out on the NBT marketplace everyone.

The GeForce RTX 4090 (AD103) is followed by the AD104-based GeForce RTX 4080 Ti (175 W TGP), GeForce RTX 4070 (AD106, 40 W TGP) and the GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti, both with different AD106 variants. There is no word about when the Ada Lovelace mobile graphics cards will be launched, but if last year's release cycle is anything to go by, they should start showing up at around CES 2023.
