Being that It was actually cheaper than the 3090 Strix air cooled model and slightly faster right out of the box than future released 3090Ti FE. If there was a Kingpin now, it would be crazy expensive probably. If the Astral is still $4,000-$4,500. Original KPE 3090 was $1999.99 on launch Price wise, it was $500 more than the 3090 MSRP ($1500), but it was still a fantastic card overall. MSRP for Astral is $3079.99 which is just bonkers though which is $3284 after tax for me. The hope for value is still to land an FE for $1999.99..... Nope. $3500 + tax. Some of the 9070xt's are already closer to $1k at MSRP right out of the gate unfortunately.... Gotta hope to snipe a $600 model during these early days but as I said, the AMD scalping will be nothing like Nvidia scalping simply due to supply and demand. Watch how fast prices fall on eBay over the next few weeks. I have zero problems NOT buying a 9070xt same as the 5090. --- "easily" = that's just a conservative estimate and price would most likely be higher. 🙂 This 5080 FE really is holding it down. Aesthetically, I'd like a 4090 FE as that massive slab would look even better in my rig with it's industrial black and grey tones everywhere but performance wise, I'm good to go. A 5090 would be a pure, unneeded luxury buy at this point simply because I can afford it no problem. Smart buy? Nope. Fun buy? Yep. I may keep an eye out for a well priced used 4090 FE just for the build look. 1 2 Electrosoft Alpha: 9800X3D | Asus X870E Hero Crosshair | Nvidia RTX 5080 FE| AC LF II 420 | TG 2x24GB 8200 @ 2200/6400 tuned | Samsung 990 Pro 2TB | EVGA 1600w P2 | Phanteks Ethroo Pro | Alienware AW3225QF 32" OLED Heath: i9-14900KS SP109 | EVGA CLC 280 | Asus Strix Z690 D4 | Asus Strix 3080 | 32GB DDR4 2x16GB B-Die 4000 | Samsung 980 1TB Pro | EVGA DG-77 | Samsung G7 32" 144hz 32" Ellectrosoft Mobile Alpha: MSI Raider | 7950HX3D | Nvidia RTX 4090 | Kingston Fury 2x16GB DDR5 | Samsung 990 Pro 2TB | 18" QHD | WiFi 7 Ellectrosoft Mobile Beta: Eurocom X15 Raptor | i9-12900k | Nvidia RTX 3070ti | HyperX 3200 CL20 32GB | Samsung 990 2TB | 15.6" 144hz | Wifi 6E

The air cooled stock 9070XT is still faster than the worlds fastest watercooled tapped out XOC’d 3090Ti. I think that’s pretty good. Shame these AIB’s and Retailers are a whole bunch of scammers/scalpers. And now the 9070XT price is just too high to make sense. $600 is good. But I think everyone as a whole needs to stop buying graphics cards. I cannot support this horrible market we’re in. 2 1 13900KF

But I think everyone as a whole needs to stop buying graphics cards. I cannot support this horrible market we’re in. I am still trying to buy one, but not for more than $600. The ASUS Prime 9070 XT OC is in stock at both Chicago area Microcenters for $599.99 and I have messaged a couple of friends in that area to see if they can grab one for me. If I cannot buy one for about $600 then I won't own one. I totally agree. The only way this is going to get fixed is for PC components to be very seldom ever purchased for more than MSRP and products start rotting on store shelves and warehouse pallets and only being sold at a loss as EOL products that fewer people want. This is worse with GPUs than anything else, but it happens with quite a few other things to a slightly less egregious degree. 1 1 WRAITH // Z790 Apex | 14900KS | 4090 Suprim X+Byksi Block | 48GB DDR5-8600 | Toughpower 1650W | MO-RA3 360 | Hailea HC-500A || O11D XL EVO (T-Rex) BANSHEE // X670E Gene | 9950X | 4090 Gaming OC+Alphacool Block | 32GB DDR5-8200 | RM1200x SHIFT | XT45 1080 Nova || Antec C8 (Rhinoceros) SPECTRE // Z790i Edge | 13900KS | 3090 Ti FTW3 | 48GB DDR5-8200 | RM1000e | EK Nucleus CR360 Direct Die || Prime A21 (Rattlesnake) HALF-BREED // Precision 7720 | BGA CPU Filth | 32GB DDR4 | Quadro P5000 | 4K Display | Nothing to Write Home About (Turdbook) Mr. Fox YouTube Channel | Mr. Fox @ HWBOT The average response time for a 911 call is 10 minutes. I plan to hook the laptop up to the chiller now 😂 I’m joking. But I do have the pumpas ready to go in new rig. Going to tear them down for inspection. But chilled water doesn’t grow anything so it’s amazing how all of the parts are just pure spotless inside. aww why are u joking? DO IT 😄 18 hours ago, Papusan said: More pc gamers will see the same. As I have posted several times... More and more PSUs come with almost no 8 pins connectors anymore beacuse all the focus is on 12V-2x6 connectors. Some come even with two of them for 1000W SKUs and measly 3x 8 pins connectors on the PSU panel. You can see the stupid engineering choices here... and here The golden fix for modern pc users... Steal one of the two 8pin connectors for the CPU. Why not take both if you need it bro @Mr. Fox🤪 And with a proper pc chassis you can put in a second PSU without problems if needed... when at first i got my TX1600 ATX2.4 version I was wondering to myself if i should later upgrade to the ATX3.1 version. i am sooo glad that i didnt. all 8pin goodness on the PSU side, enough wattage for two 12v2x6 connectors, super quiet and efficient and 12 years (or rather 10 left) of warranty. will not need another psu for a long time! i have a wattmeter permanently hooked up to my rig and the highest ive seen thus far was 1125W or 70% of stock psu capacity. i think ill be good even with a 5090 and a 9950X3D in there 🙂 1 1 1 Mine: Hyperion "Titan God of Heat, Heavenly Light, Power" (2022-25) AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (TG High Perf.
