edit: as for the 5090, prices keep falling and supply keeps improving. just now one of the shops im monitoring got in 8(!) 5090 Suprim Air, and theyre not vanishing inside of seconds. same goes for stuff on ebay and amazon. im thinking that the market demand for 5090s at ridonkulous markups over the MSRP has dried up 🙂 keep HODLING guys, were getting there!

 

Yep, things are proceeding as predicted. April/May things will really shore up.

 

Good to see so many 9070xt's just languishing on eBay. Scalpers under estimated supply big time.

This was a complex bend for me. But I managed okay on the first go! 
 

I discovered that if you just hold the tube in place, and check it by eye, and mark where you think the 90 degree bend needs to be, it actually works out. I haven’t used a tape measure one time. I have just eyed everything out. And put a dot, bend, cut, dot, bend cut etc. I have not had to redo a single tube. And 

 

Anyways, almost done with it! I just need a G1/4 Y-adapter, and a G1/4 drain valve for my basement dual D5 (This way I can quickly and easily drain the loop for maintenance, this system weights about 100+ pounds if I guessed, no exaggerating here, I literally cannot lift it or move it, so I have to make the drain easy to access without moving or tipping the case at all, because unfortunately it’s just too large and way too heavy to move at all) I also need some bright purple coolant. (NO PASTELS) May use a pink or red, maybe even a blue, maybe nvidia green. Would love to hear everyone’s opinions on colors, or maybe drain recommendations. (I’ve never ran a drain before)

Better to buy an older ATX 2.0 PSU with only 8-pin PCIe cables and without any arson connectors and either use the arson plug pigtail adapter that comes with the GPU or buy an 8-pin to arson cable and not be restricted by the engineering defects of new crap tech.

And buy from a PSU brand that offer (are able to sell) original 8 pin to 12V-2x6 (12VHPWR) cables. MSI won't help you out here. You are stuck with what you bought. Vote with your wallet.

Doing some more bends. I hope this thing is air tight lol. I’ll do a leak test soon. It is not complete just yet though. I really need to get a 4090 block I’m being cheap though, part of me doesn’t want to spend another dime. We’ll see.

So, I snagged one. I guess I will find out tomorrow morning if my order gets cancelled again. This one has a vapor chamber, thermal putty and what looks like 9 heat pipes. $700, which it think is good for the better overall build quality. Hopefully it will be worth it. 3100MHz boost, 2520MHz memory and 340W TDP. Same advertised specs as the Taichi OC (but no nasty arson power cable) and XFX Mercury OC.

System is leak tested and air tight at 0.45 Bar! It wasn’t on the first go. It kept losing pressure. It was a bad hardline tubing connection. Had to sand the end of a tube, make it flat and smooth and that did the trick. I cannot run more than 0.50 bar or one of my 90 degree fittings swivels leaks lol. I’ll replace it for sure. I hate bubbles in my loop. Each individual main part was checked for leaks outside of the loop.

Problem is basically zero incentive from Nvidia or AMD to keep prices low as the gaming segment of their revenue continues to be dwarfed by AI and other divisions and resource/fab priority  places gamers in the bottom tier now:

Temps look good! You have a lot of headroom for improvement but no way to push it. 😞

 

I know on the two Asus G18's w/ 13980HX, temps were in the low 80s for multi. Do a single core run and see where your temps go along with your score.

Made a quick video. I was most impressed by how tight the core to temps are. I can’t push it. But, It pushes its self really well stock anyways I think. I find the CPU boosting pretty high in games. I really like it!

Almost Norwegian prices. So it could be worse. If Trump add another 10% you will get real Norwegian prices in US. Who'm could imagine that.

 

Egg prices in US is already on Norwegian level. And it will be worse. Years forwards. Same as here in Norway. First got the higher price level... It will stay. Same as for graphics cards.

 

And tech companies that buy overpriced AI parts from Nvidia  want their spent money back. Better the gamers got the silicon. Then we would avoided this trash from Redmond...

Microsoft Advertising has shown off new ad formats that insert massive ads right into Copilot, alongside pilot programs to allow brands to create their own AI agents to sell you stuff.

 

 

And here is one more nail in the Intel as gaming focuses brand...  All they have is the single core crown (the main reason they removed HT for all their competing chips). Intel only own their own brand name now. They can't even make own chips. AMD added easly more gaming performance with their new flagship processors. No more need for the X branded Ryzen processors if you go with their X3D chips. It perform equal in all multi core workflow but perform even better in gaming.

 

And Intel continue swimming backwards in a pool of baby cores meant for smartphones baked into their (gaming) flagship desktop processors. Of course phone/tablet processors don't support AVX512 as the real desktop cpu's does. Yup, Intel continue digging their own grave if they continue with their idiotic processor design. E-cores need to be removed...And HT need to come  back.

color me impressed! definitely worth the wait, about 30-40% uplift in games vs. my 7950X and even in productivity it regularly beats the 9950X!

Nice! I like to run Unigine Heaven along with CBR23 as it generally gives me a good idea of crossload performance in games. It looks like it has a 95W PL1 according to the notebookcheck but its great that you can get that at such a good temp with the tweaks you did.

 

Did you get a chance to run Aida64 Cache and Memory on it yet?

So far I just redid the Liquid Metal and GPU thermal paste. I uninstalled a few things on the factory OS, I can’t tweak anything else. The Windows 11 is still a little bloated but not too bad, I just keep the Predator app installed. I find the Predator software to be pretty good. I have some nice profiles setup, and I can push a button to pop between them.  
 

I have a balanced profile with auto fan that I use while working during the day, and I never even hear the machine fans. 
 

I’ll look in to Aida 64 that’s a good idea. I’ve honestly been just playing on it more than actually benching it.

Can't say the same for Win 11😁 New is always better. And AMD want you to think so... @Mr. Fox 

 

AMD is the Nvidia in the processor world. Low competition means AMD will charge price premium for the 3D v-cashe. Same as Nvidia do with their fake frame feature package.
