Great to hear, disabled c-state stop the shutdowns. But too bad, we need to help us without the support from the manufacturer...

Unfortunately yesterday there were two sudden shutdowns.

Therefore, in my case, disabling C-States seems to have only affected the BSODs when I enable Overclocking mode in BIOS, in fact at the moment no BSODs happen anymore, but sudden shutdowns still happen.

As soon as possible I will install the EC kindly indicated by Sergey Muratov, to see if it only solves the problem of restarting after sudden shutdown, or it also avoids sudden shutdown

You need to flash the bios, you can do it like this

Am I correct in saying the PCH is cooled by a metal plate under the casing? Just noticed the thermal pad. Did the pad come with the machine or did you place it there?

Does anyone know the name of the power connectors used on this and the power supplies? I know it generally referred to as the msi dual square plug. I'm looking for the actual connector reference/name/type.

RTX 2080 Super (MXM) and RTX 3080 (MXM) have big differences for 3080?

Is it worth replacing the 2080 Super with a 3080 card?🙄

From a financial standpoint, not really. The RTX 3080 MXM is about 15% more poweful than the RTX 2080 Super MXM on average from what I've heard.

Thanks!

Then the 2080 Super stays because everything is enough. 😁👏

Hi guys,

I just bought a used X170KM. It came with a 32 gb single channel 3200hz. I bought another one (same brand, size, speed and voltage), and the system kept BSOD. I remove the ram stick and it works fine.

I have tested both rams and they are both ok. Problems only happens when I put them both together.

Not sure what is the solution here. I'm aware that the KM has ram issue, but only when using all 4 slots.

I have only used 2 slots (the ones next to NVME slots)

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Regards
