I am also searching for cheapest possible displays...1080 60hz 30p also are fine...

Can someone recommend me a good source ?😇

Your 4k lcd is 40pin edp,  if You want 1080 30pin you have to fully dissasemble the laptop ( remove palmrest).

Clevo/XMG LCD upgrade chart.

But You can use any kind of 4k display that is slim and has mounting on the top and bottor corner like this, and have left side EDP 40pin connector :

Do you have a panel number for us or a link? And will that panel just go in there and connect to the existing 4K panel cable?

My P751TM , was used with FHD 144hz/QHD 120HZ panel , then i birnged my 4k igzo+cable and worked instantly. I used the 4k lcd and cable in a P751DM2 and worked there 2.

So if you already have a 40pin edp cable ,then only slim panels with 4 mounting flaps will work to able to secure the lcd .

Thanks, I was looking for the 17.3" panel though and asked @Developer79as it seemed that he had already tested a specific display.

Personally I would have preferred a nice QHD display like the one in the X170 series but for the P775TM there is only the not that great AUO TN panel that is pretty bad even by TN panel standards.

It doesn't seem to be just one particular display, I tested it too! AUO makes very good displays. You just have to build appropriate mounts. If you are creative, you can make a solution. The 4k 120Hz display works flawlessly, for example. In my opinion, one of the best displays. Of course, 144Hz is a bit better :-)

Knowing you I kind of thought that you would just take a panel that somehow fits - it is child's play for you compared to the GPU solution 😄

Did you go with displays that have the panel connector in the same place or can the cable also be re-routed for displays that have the connector on the other side?

Sorry for a late bump - but I was looking for some display information for my P750DM2 and this thread seems to have some good information, so I summarized some of it:

I also can say that P751dm2 with 4K cable works with 240Hz FullHD Display. If someone is interested

@razor0601 I find your quote especially interesting - do you know which display it was?

It is cool to have these generalities, but having part numbers for display and cables make it easier for other people (like me) to replicate it in the future!

I will also eventually update with whichever display I go with and how it worked, so others can see.

It’s an BOE NE156FHM-NZ1

But it has no screw holes. So I installed it with double-sided tape.

Thank you!

As long as it works and is stable with it in, who cares if it uses the screw holes!  👍
