Microsoft has acknowledged the reports and confirmed the issues. In a Feedback Hub post first spotted by Windows Latest, several users complained that they’re getting 0x80070520 error messages when they try to change their account profile picture. The error is mostly experienced on devices with a local account only, which means you won’t run into it if you use a Microsoft account. It’s worth noting that KB5036980 is an optional cumulative ‘preview’ update, which means it won’t download or install automatically unless you manually go to Settings and click “Download & Install” under the update...... Papusan
Microsoft confirms recent Windows security update breaks VPNs, no fix yet LooL. People don't want cancer installed on their computers. People have voted with common sense. There is still hope for the humanity @Mr. Fox How Windows 10 is currently annoying us with pop-ups Windows 10 displays full-screen adverts for the upgrade, even on Windows 10 computers that do not meet the requirements for Windows 11. The annoying upgrade notifications are even appearing on Windows 10 PCs within companies. At the same time, Microsoft has increased the number of upgrade-eligible Windows 10 PCs. So far, however, none of this has been successful; on the contrary, Windows 10 has recently gained market share, while Windows 11 has lost market share. 1 1 "The Killer" ASUS ROG Z790 Apex Encore | 14900KS | 4090 HOF + 20 other graphics cards | 32GB DDR5 | Be Quiet! The only thing wrong with it is the lack of current hardware driver support, and that is only because control freaks have more or less forbidden commercial driver development for Windows 7. They do not deserve to live anymore (speaking of the company, not the individuals employed by them and their families, other than finding a new place to work). Brother @Raiderman is going to love hearing he won't even be able to get Windows 10 drivers. Hopefully they will be easy enough to mod for Windows 10, but the Redmond Reprobate Cartel have been pretty effective at going full-psycho-Nazi on blocking Windows 7 driver mods. This also is an extremely negative reflection on AMD for being so willing to bow down and worship the biggest coward clown possee in the technology space (Micro$lop). But, don't be too surprised if Intel joins them in elevating the coward clown possee and validating their criminal behavior. It's probably just AMD being the first to prostitute themselves. The level of blind obeissance the industry demonstrates to Redmond's Digital Dictatorship is too repulsive for words. I think the only possible ways to explain it is that it is being driven either by inter-industry collusion or blackmail. Either way, it is criminal by nature and intent. Their malign approach to things should be against the law. On 5/6/2024 at 3:12 AM, br2 said: thx. i'll just let windows take care of itself til it makes me intervene to fix something. Hopefully they will be easy enough to mod for Windows 10, but the Redmond Reprobate Cartel have been pretty effective at going full-psycho-Nazi on blocking Windows 7 driver mods. Not sure Windows 10 will work properly with new Ryzen chips. With AMDs software/driver and bios mess don't have big hope for a decent experience. I'm sure bro @Raiderman looking forwards to next level of greed and stupidity from Microsoft. This is just disgusting. Microsoft will do whatever they can to make Windows as the main ad channel. They have collected so much info about you the last years with their telemetry in later OS that they will now use it for whats worth. 2 "The Killer" ASUS ROG Z790 Apex Encore | 14900KS | 4090 HOF + 20 other graphics cards | 32GB DDR5 | Be Quiet! br2
Personally, my free time is for Tai Chi. If I work on an antique, it will be a classic sports car, not writing drivers for an old os. Y'all may want to consider loading a classic os in a vm. I still have Xp vms for running ancient software. You probably need VmWare to load a classic os, not sure if Msft vm will allow it. You'll need Msdn (no escape...) to get the old os images. Curiously, they have 3.11 and Xp but no 2000. 😢 🥂
