Hi friends, I just ordered a used Precision 7560 with i7-11850H, A2000. Was a good deal so couldn't resist.
Though reading some reviews of overheating and such, I am second guessing my decision.

What do you guys feel about these concerns:
1. Is undervolting possible, I would be using it in hot humid areas and want to optimize the temps even if that means a small decrease in performance.
2. My laptop has the base 250 nits 45% ntsc display, has someone ever tried to replace the display with something better, I can get the compatible 500 nits display in future, but is it possible to switch to even better one.
3. Has anyone tried if the 10TB SSD limit really a hard stop or just something dell's laziness in validating capacity over it, similar to ram sometimes.
4. It has a few months of warranty left, should I test it in a specific way to make sure all components are working correctly before the warranty expires.

Anyone still have the BIOS v1.24 or 1.25? I'm currently trying to downgrade the bios and now I am stucked on v1.26 because I cannot downgrade to v1.23 or earlier.

I really doubt there is a real capacity limit after all this isn't the 90s or early 2000s anymore where such limits were real. The only real limit is the number of drives and one's pocket book as 8tb are horrendously expensive yet 4tb drives can be had for little as $150 a pop time to time.

I have 22 BIOS versions archived, including 1.23 and 1.26, but nothing in between those two 😕

Anyone has issues with WD19TB dock? Was using for the last two years without any trouble. Suddenly from last month it stopped working. Initially thought it's dock issue, but later find out dock is working fine with XPS 13. I installed windows 11 in a separate ssd and still dock was not working.

Dell support did remote diagnosis for almost a month and then decided to replace motherboard.  After replacement also it's not working.

Is this something to do with TB4 port no longer supporting TB3 dock?  Xps 13 is almost 4 years old and having TB3 port, so it works fine. But Precision 7560 is TB4 port and stopped supporting?

BTW if I disable thunderbolt option in BIOS, then same dock working fine in precision 7560, but during boot gives a warning something related like connect to thunderbolt port for better speed and performance.

Another problem without thunderbolt option enabled, everytime I've to reconnect the dock after starting the laptop.

DELL concluded the dock is faulty even though its working perfectly with XPS laptop. Since WD19TB is out of warranty, i had to purchase new WD22TB dock.  And this new dock was working fine for almost month with Precision 7560 and suddenly from last week stopped working.  Again this dock working perfectly fine in XPS laptop and works in Precision 7560 if thunderbolt is disabled in BIOS.  Basically its same issue as described in the quoted post.  Earlier i thought may be there is some unknown incompatibility between TB3 Dock and 7560's TB4 port.  But now even TB4 dock ended up in same fate 😞

Unfortunately DELL in my part of the world is clueless and taking their own sweet time to respond, this is even after having ProSupport Plus 😞
