I've just disabled Dynamic Boost. No change, it just throttles to a dreadful 0.8ghz. HWinfo shows no thermal throttling on all cores, but Package/Ring Power Limit Exceeded is Yes on all cores.

I've tried using Throttlestop, but it hasn't worked. I've tried using lower PL1 and PL2 figures, I've tried using higher PL1 and PL2 figures (as in the screenshot.)

The weird thing is, when the game's running in the background (not active window) the power throttling doesn't occur.

After the frequency stabilises with the game just in the background, going back into the game puts the frequency back to around 2.5ghz then 1.5ghz for a few moments, and then it goes to 0.8ghz.

These are the limit reasons.

UPDATE: I don't know what it is that I've done, but now it's only downclocking to 2.5ghz after a few minutes of gameplay. Exiting a game brings it back up to the usual clocks, around 3.6ghz. One other thing, I noticed that my battery is being depleted as I'm playing. It not downclocking to 0.8ghz is nice, but I don't know if it's normal for the battery to deplete rather quickly as I'm playing...
