zex4
Hey everyone I found a gaming pc that had a normal mxm rtx 4060 module built in. its called Megamini G1 https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1906688106/megamini-g1-water-cooling-gaming-mini-pc?lang=de Found then i video from the german cannel HardwareDealz where you can see the MXM Module from the 4060... I know that there are embedded modules but I didn't know that there are consumer cards aviable.. Does anyone have any information about this GPU? Or can you buy one somewhere? I'm not talking about the expensive embedded mxm cards 😄
aldarxt
Yeah, I just paid for a RTX 4050 mxm at https://www.x-vsion.com/ Its listed for $280. Its an A card and am going to try it in 1 of my laptops. Its TCP is rated at 70-100Watts They also have a RTX 4060 but its at 115watts Also found a teardown video at 2:26 it looks like the 1 on xvision Clevo P870DM3-G i9-9900k-32.0GB 2667mhz-RTX3080+GTX1080 Alienware M18x R2 i7-3920xm-32GB DDR3-RTX 3000 Alienware M17x R4 i7-3940XM-16GB DDR3-RTX 3000 Alienware M17x R4 i7-3940XM 20GB DDR3-P4000 120hz 3D Precision m6700 i7-3840QM-16GB DDR3-GTX 970M Precision m4700 i7-3840QM-16GB DDR3-T2000M HP ZBook 17 G6 i7 9850H-32GB DDR4-RTX4000maxQ GOBOXX SLM G2721-i7-10875H RTX 3000-32GB ddr4
zex4
thats sounds great buddy lets see how it goes....it would be very interesting upgrade for the clevo laptops 😄 it shows that it is possible to design your own custom board...I wonder why no Chinese company has made MXM boards to sell in on ebay so far...I mean, take MXM 3.0/1 and put 4060/70 on it with external power connection with custom bios and sell it....there are also custom Chinese (some are fake of course) PC graphics cards as new.... its seems out of stock for now 😞
zex4
the RTX 4060 GPU is aviable for $360.00.... but I don't know if it would work on my 775dm3 otherwise i would have ordered it immediately. also this cards are very interesting upgrades for the clevo 77xdm1 series honestly 😄

They are going on vacation Oct. 1 so I don't know what to expect. (We will have national day holiday off 1st Oct ~ 6 th Oct) So I am hoping Sept.30 it gets shipped Clevo P870DM3-G i9-9900k-32.0GB 2667mhz-RTX3080+GTX1080 Alienware M18x R2 i7-3920xm-32GB DDR3-RTX 3000 Alienware M17x R4 i7-3940XM-16GB DDR3-RTX 3000 Alienware M17x R4 i7-3940XM 20GB DDR3-P4000 120hz 3D Precision m6700 i7-3840QM-16GB DDR3-GTX 970M Precision m4700 i7-3840QM-16GB DDR3-T2000M HP ZBook 17 G6 i7 9850H-32GB DDR4-RTX4000maxQ GOBOXX SLM G2721-i7-10875H RTX 3000-32GB ddr4

There is an offset of the DIE and xbracket and mobo mounting holes. My P870DM3-G has a GTX 1080 in secondary and RTX 3080 in primary slot. 3080 mounted to the board but heatsink doesn't line up, the 1080 mounts properly. nforce4max
I can see at least one of these ending up in an Precision M6800 and the same goes for a few Alienwares if it plays nice better yet can run EDP.

DLoa
Cool. It does not look like an MXM RTX 4060 would upgrade my Eurocome Sky X7C, a Clevo P775TM1G with the RTX2080. Would there be instead an RTX4080 MXM and could that be fitted in a Clevo P775TM1G chassis? I am also not quite sure why there is so much excitement for people with a 75x or 77x Clevo, guess the power draw is still tempting. Given price and availability I would say that if 150W power draw is OK then the 3080 mobile will perform better and it has 16GB memory and it can be nice to upgrade from a 2070 or a 1080. 2080 less so and could be decided based on a number of factors. The 4070 is more interesting while still maintaining a really low power uptake so again nice for people who are power constrained. For a substantial jump in performance it will still be necessary to get the 4080.
NBTUser
For clarification, does this mean I can now order a consumer NVIDIA RTX 4090 Laptop MXM card to upgrade from the NVIDIA RTX 3080 card in my Clevo X170KM-G laptop?
