Papusan
FULLSCREEN POP-UPAdvertising for Windows 11 is annoying even on incompatible PCs Microsoft is once again drumming up support for Windows 11. Now also in full-screen mode on incompatible Windows 10 PCs. No option for permanent advertising stop Instead, you can use the advertising window to follow links to Microsoft's website and find out more about the end of support for Windows 10 as well as new Surface and OEM systems that already run Windows 11 from the factory. Microsoft has also included a "Remind me later" button in the advertisement. However, there is no button for "Don't remind me and don't show any more ads." 1 "The Killer" ASUS ROG Z790 Apex Encore | 14900KS | 4090 HOF + 20 other graphics cards | 32GB DDR5 | Be Quiet! They probably completely stopped listening to the opinion of the end user with all these latest innovations, an increasing number of a wide variety of banal bugs and some binding requirements of any kind. Once upon a time I used Ubuntu and was quite happy with it, I would not be surprised if with the increasing continuation of such "improvements", I will soon really have to reconsider my preferences regarding the main OS used.
Papusan
Finally. Even Microsoft is able to see that Windows 11 was a failure. Microsoft restarts Windows 10 beta tests Software yesterday 05:35 Windows 10 only has a little over a year left in its life, but now Microsoft will start beta testing new features. Edit. As you can see, the grass ain't greener on the other side (Win 11). Only more poop-brown Microsoft Research scientist gives non-answer when asked about Windows Recall privacy concerns Not exactly reassuring A HOT POTATO: Microsoft's Recall feature is being universally slammed for the privacy implications that come from screenshotting everything you do on a computer. However, at least one person seems to think the concerns are overblown. Unsurprisingly, it's Microsoft Research's chief scientist, who didn't really give an answer when asked about Recall's negative points. 2 "The Killer" ASUS ROG Z790 Apex Encore | 14900KS | 4090 HOF + 20 other graphics cards | 32GB DDR5 | Be Quiet! Papusan
Newer is always better, LOOL Steam Survey July 2024 Update: Windows 10 Usage Records Uptick, Windows 11 Drops Techpowerup.com | Yesterday Interesting things are happening in the gaming community, as Windows 10 operating system has seen an increase in its user base on the Steam platform, while Windows 11 has dipped below the 46% mark for the first time since its launch. According to the latest July data from Steam's hardware and software survey, Windows 10's share rose to 47.69%, marking a significant uptick that contrasts with Windows 11's decline to 45.73%. This trend highlights a growing preference among gamers for the older operating system, which is often praised for its stability and compatibility with a wide range of games and hardware. Many users have expressed concerns over Windows 11's performance and its stringent hardware requirements, which have made it less accessible for some gamers, especially those without the TPM 2.0-enhanced system. The shift in user demographics is particularly interesting given that Windows 11 was designed with gaming enhancements in mind, including features like DirectStorage and Auto HDR. However, the adoption rate appears to be hampered by issues related to compatibility and performance, leading many gamers to stick with the more familiar and reliable Windows 10. This trend could prompt Microsoft to reevaluate its approach to Windows 11, particularly in terms of addressing user concerns and enhancing compatibility with existing hardware. Other OSes are seeing stagnation, especially with Linux-based distributions recording zero change. Apple's OSX stands at 1.37%, a +0.06% increase from last month. 1 1 "The Killer" ASUS ROG Z790 Apex Encore | 14900KS | 4090 HOF + 20 other graphics cards | 32GB DDR5 | Be Quiet!
