On October 14, 2025, Microsoft will end support for Windows 10.

Ironically, October 14 is also International E-waste Day.

You just can't make this stuff up.

If they can get something back from you then they can offer you a #free# trade in.....

Microsoft will trade your data/privacy for extended Win 10 support. Isn't that disgusting bro @Mr. Fox ?

  • Use the Windows Backup app to sync your settings to the cloud = Violate your privacy/and data theft for internal usage.
  • Pay 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points
  • Pay $30 (local prices may vary)

The free alternative is for users to link their Microsoft account to the Windows Backup app. This allows them to synchronize/scrape your documents, images, apps, and PC settings with the cloud. The Windows Backup app uses the capacity of OneDrive, which offers users 5 GB of storage space in the free version. If the amount of data to be synchronized is larger, users will need to upgrade OneDrive – which reduces the benefit of the free security updates.

The only thing I can add to this would include vulgar speech that is forbidden by forum rules and would create an undesirably uncouth public image of myself.

Have you something to add in for this? Windows 11 is 2.3 x faster than Windows 10, LOL

Regarding increased security....With all the bugs they add in the security claims is not correct. Same as with Nvidia.... You can optimize security and functionality on older products if you give it same love as for the newest and most shiny. Stupids!!!

Microsoft claims Windows 11 is 2.3x faster than Windows 10, so upgrade

The company also suggests that increased PC security is another reason in favor of upgrading to Windows 11.

LOL

Not only lying but the engineers/marketing teams are just plain stupid.

Microsoft says that 'Windows 11 PCs are up to 2.3X faster than Windows 10 PCs', neglecting to mention that it's comparing apples to bowling balls
