Sure, anything you need!

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0899&SUBSYS_146211D8

And these are the compatible IDs:

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01

BTW, thanks and sorry for the delay, I didn't have notifications enabled.

Sorry for late reply, Will check the installer now for device id. that id doesn't look familiar so chances are its not in there but i will update this post if i do or don't find it.

Update: Found the issue, I forgot to add that ID to only one file

AVoluteNH3Ext.inf

So its an easy fix for you.

Simply go to

C:\Audio\9336.1\Win64\ThirdParty\APO3\Extension

Locate the file and open in notepad or notepad++

AVoluteNH3Ext.inf

then go to

[DeviceExtensions.NTamd64]

section and then add

%Device.ExtensionDesc% = DeviceExtension_Install, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0899&SUBSYS_146211D ; HDA Converted to UAD

Click save then head to

C:\Audio\9336.1\

then execute

Launch.exe

That will then install it all and it should work again.

OK great! I'll give it a try a try and provide feedback!

One question, do I have to use the APO3? or can I use APO4?

EDIT:

I edited the file like you asked but it doesn't work 😞 APO isn't installed, but the driver is, as before.

Strange, are you up for a Teamviewer session as this might be a bug. You need to use APO3 and not APO4 else your ID would of been in the APO4 section already as that the APO4 folder is not modified.

If your up for a Teamviewer session then DM me the details and times your free and i will make the time to connect and have a look. I am GMT timeline so please include either your timezone or offset to GMT so i know what time you mean.

Ops i noticed my mistake a typo in the fix like a muppet.

Do the same as before but use

%Device.ExtensionDesc% = DeviceExtension_Install, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0899&SUBSYS_146211D8 ; HDA Converted to UAD

As originally i put

%Device.ExtensionDesc% = DeviceExtension_Install, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0899&SUBSYS_146211D ; HDA Converted to UAD

which is missing the 8 at the end man i am a muppet. Sorry

But then again i suppose that's what happens when you get 2 hours sleep and the rest is doing firmware porting for a router that's not support so brain doesn't function right after days of the same routine.

Before you say it i know its not healthy and i need to touch grass, but i can't till i finish programming and porting everything, got to continue till its all finished.

Hi, I believe there's no need to, it worked! Thanks a lot! Can you add this to your next releases? 😄

Yes I know, what I was asking was if there is a way to add APO4 support like it was added for APO3 by modifying a file, I don't know what APO4 brings to the table but it must have something good 😆

It will be added to the next build and change log will reflect that the muppets have been calmed.

As for APO4 modding, i have tried before and failed to get it working else i would be using just APO4 as it would make the pack smaller in size, however i can't get it to work thus will stick for now to APO3 and APO4 AIO building.

You have to remember i am running this all blind right now as i don't have a working GT72 anymore. If i had a working GT72 i would be able to sink in the time and effort to convert to APO4.

A-volute Nahimic APO4 SWC 4.7.2.0 driver (driver date is 3/29/2022) from Microsoft (don't ask why Nahimic creator gave MS this version instead of an 4.8.x.x version)

A-volute Nahimic APO4 SWC 4.8.1.0 driver from Microstar International (MSI) {released 5/06/2022 for an MSI Stealth 17M A12UE 12th gen Intel laptop}

and Nahimic UWP app updated from v1.9.5.0 to v1.9.8.0 from MS store

Is that all thats been release? If so i will download the file ready when a new driver comes out for Realtek Audio.

As currently i am working hard on porting a router to another firmware software which is taking most of my time and server time right now. I mean i have been compiling, testing, compiling, testing, compiling and testing for over a week now.

Does it have to do with OpenWrt? I work in the project too. 😄

I have build a test APO4, anyone who wants can test it. I do not guarantee the performance of the driver. I didn't check it myself, as I am satisfied with the official unmodified APO3.

Installation Instructions:

  • Removing the APO3 driver (A-VoluteNh3ApoSwc and AVoluteNH3Ext) using Driver Store Explorer;
  • Installing the APO4 driver (AVoluteNH3Ext and A-VoluteNhApo4Swc);
  • Checking.

Ok nice one however looking at your files i see what you have done.

- Copying ID's from the APO3 to APO4 will make it install

However the issue is the EQ's will not work due to the system's .nsx files not being in NH3ProductSettings.cab .
You can't extract and repack the two versions of the NH3ProductSettings.cab into one NH3ProductSettings.cab because it is signed and checked by the UWP.

Its a great attempt though bud. This was what i was after getting the community working together to make the best driver.

Ohhhhh what a nice surprise to find you again after NotebookReview forum closed. It seems this project finally has a new home!

Since I completely forgot about it, GT73VR 6RE (i7 6th gen) needs APO 3 driver, right?

That is completely upto you. The change log log has all the info.

I just make the nodded packs. Normally sound issues are fixed or security bugs with updates.

However if you still have access to the old driver your currently using you can always flip backwards.

speaking of the old 6.0.9175.1 driver, MSI still has that version available from here.

so far, MSI hasn't released any newer Realtek audio drivers than 9336, not even for the newly released MSI Titan GT77 laptops in which MSI released a 6.0.9334.1 driver version for that one

Seems strange for MSI they normal spit them out like candy.

@solidus1983 Works fine on my GF66-Katana. Using a custom Win11 install and could not get Nahimic to work. But this mod fixed that! Thank you!

Glad it worked for you!

  • 1 month later...

at long last, MSI finally updated the realtek hd audio univseral driver for some recent MSI desktop motherboards to a new version since mid-April (about 3 months since) - it's now at 6.0.9363.1

also, Nahimic UWP app from MS store was updated to 1.9.9

and Nahimic support has only info about Nahimic 3 as they removed info about installing Nahimic 2 (non-uwp) as that one is discontinued and only support Nahimic 3.x (uwp)

A bit late to the party but my GT72 and GT75 would like to know about the benefits of using this.

I take it that they are currently on Nahimic 2 which means there are features missing not working?

Or is this a case of if you have to ask you don't need it? 😄

Basically New drivers, and a New app for your system. EQ is slight better then Nahimic 2 as well. You don't loose features you in fact gain some.

Feel free to ask away it better to ask then not to.

Just a heads up GT72 will always be APO3 GT75 should be APO4 as both sets of drivers are included shouldn't be a issue.

If i have time tonight will boot up the DevBox on new server and will make a new build with the new files.

Just right now i am doing studying for a new program language set.

As for Nahimic 2 being discontinued at least my builds will not untill at least i get to the stage where i can't get it to work.
