Yes, as long as I am home, will post a picture👍🏻

I think you asked me because of the aliexpress heatsink performance for the 775..I did used it just for two weeks on my 1060 back then(air cooling only)..ait's heavier than the original..gpu was around 25c cooler also Hotspot was much better cooled...but cpu temp did not helped much..I think it was around 10c cooler than original...selled it because I got even more cash back from a friend 😀

Is a 3080 from X170 going to work in a P870DM3? Re electrical/firmware compatibility
Modding a heatsink is not a concern

I currently have Prema EC code and Dsanke BIOS (his original pre-Spectre one for my P0 stepping 9900K)

Just looking ahead. 40 series is underwhelming and/or horrifically expensive, and if Dragon Range ends up being a damp squib I think finding one of these will be the next least rubbish option

I think it should. But I think its better then to sell your current computer and get one with 4080. The difference between 3080 and 4080 is HUGE. Difference between 2080 and 3080 is not so big.

price difference is also huge. $5000 for Clevo X370 w/ 4080 in Aus dollars. (+$1500 for 4090!)
I could recoup some of that by parting this, 9900K, 2x 1080s, 4x16Gb 3000MHz RAM still have some value.
It will just be incredibly insulting to be buying only 4070/4070Ti desktop performance for well beyond actual 4090 money.

I guess nobody has yet put a 3080 into DM3?

Got new best results in RAM OC. I don't think I can possibly push my sticks more. Now just need to get thermals under control. Or find better binned sticks in general.

Those are fantastic tuning results right along the lines of my P870TM1 w/ Corsair 3800 sticks that topped out at 3466 (motherboard limitations). nice!

It has been done in a TM (plug and play) provided adequate cooling mod. It can also be added in the DM3 in the same manner.

id rather compare the 2080S with the 3080 haha. but yeah, that +35% difference id only expect in synthetic benchmarks.

It isn’t even 35%.

this is my RTX 2080 at 200W with 175/1000 OC:

If you need links to custom fans for p775tm - I can help you. The main thing is to find a way to buy from taobao.

if those fans make a difference or not

They are almost twice as quiet and allow you to win 5-7 degrees. I had these on the old p775tm.

On aliexpress there is not even 10% of cool custom items that are on taobao. In addition, aliexpress is very inadequate prices.

I am also interested!

if someone decides to buy them , I can take a part financially and we can share the cost for the taobao agent.

But the fans on TaoBao don’t look the same as the ones from the eBay listing…

Can you tell me how much volts does your 2080S needs for 2000Mhz?

0.95V.

I plan to make a shunt mod to bypass the 200W limit and provide stable 2150-2200 MHz.

The eBay seller refused to give information about those fans.
Speaks bad for the humanism, but let it be, if he is comfortable like this.

P.S. Okay, he actually sent me an offer:

He won’t tell me more about the fans, but he offered to buy them for me as he is going to travel to China and all including the transferring costs would set me back with….~200€😆😂🤣
