Light
Latest driver for the palmrest FIPS fingerprint reader appears to be https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=8chrt&oscode=wt64a&productcode=precision-17-7770-laptop 5.14.10.10, A26 Release date 07 Aug 2023 Mine was updated through windows update I believe and shows version 5.14.1.1 Date May 2023. I'm not sure if 5.14.10.10 is the same as 5.14.1.1 ??? Dell shows Other Available Versions 5.13.11.19, A2509 May 2023 5.9.8.17, A2002 Mar 2022 but no mention of the 5.14.1.1 version on Dell's site. I think I'll try updating to 5.14.10.10 and see if that makes a difference.
Light
Kind of confusing with the driver labeling here. I downloaded, checked the checksum and signature, and installed the 5.14.10.10 version from dell.com for my system. Rebooted, and the fingerprint reader now works again. Under device manager, the fingerprint reader however still shows driver version 5.14.1.1 the same as before.

Sid3ways
Anyone else have an issue with this laptop where, while gaming, my external monitor goes black for a few seconds and then comes back. It's literally killing me (seems to happen just at the right time in firefights) because I can't see anything at crucial times. I had a ASUS 34" Ultrawide running 200Hz, and for the last 6 months, I now have a LG 49" Super Ultrawide monitor running at 200Hz. Both monitors experienced the same black screen issues. It's becoming more and more frequent, like 1 to 3 times a minute at worst. I guess I need to try a new cable? Or is this thing just not able to run at 200Hz consistently? Phantomroams
Is there any way to increase the tgp other than changing the vbios? I have the rtx a4500 and I didn't find the same gpu vbios from the 7770. OneSunOne
I recently bought myself the 4k 120hz replacement panel for my dell 7770 with a full hd display. Everything works perfectly fine but I can’t get the machine to pick up the 120hz refresh rate setting in the windows/intel/nvidia settings menus. Is there a way for me to activate it so I can use the high refresh rate panel at 120hz?
