  1. I had an opportunity to grab one from EVGA. They emailed me with a spot for the 3090Ti KP with the power supply combo. I didn’t like that I would be trapped with the AIO. Now that I think about it. The 3090Ti Kingpin is only 3 months old. It would be a shame if it went for any less honestly. Also how is fallout 76? I tried it about 2 years ago for maybe 5 minutes tops and immediately uninstalled it. It felt nothing like the normal Fallout games, Fallout 3/4. Has it changed? Maybe I should give it another chance.
  2. @electrosoft I would sell that 3090Ti Kingpin ASAP!!!! Only (1) on eBay, and it is fetching silly money so far. Are people really this stupid? If so, take advantage of it!! 😃
  3. Yeah it is apparently the best Z690 motherboard you can buy, the Asrock Z590 OC Formula was also abnormally good too. They make two models of the Aqua. The Z690 Aqua, and the Z690 Aqua OC. The main difference is the standard Aqua has (4) Dimms, and the Aqua OC has (2) Dimms. But the 12 layer PCB is what’s really cool, based on the research I’ve done this is beneficial in motherboards. Apparently 8000Mhz DDR5 was doable on these motherboards with Intel 12th Gen CPU. I think a 13900K would be right at home on one. I always loved a motherboard that includes a monoblock right from the factory. Asus Glacier, Aorus Waterforce, ASrock Aqua. These manufacturers have been doing this for a little while now. I just wish they were a little more affordable.
  4. Anyone ever try one of these motherboards? I love the build and design of it. ASRock Aqua OC Z690 12 Layer PCB (2) Dimm design Very good memory overclocking ability. Unfortunately these are $800 USD is the cheapest I’ve found. It is unfortunate they are so expensive. I want one!!!!! 😭😭😭
  5. The Z790 Dark will have a 14 layer PCB, compared to the 10 layer PCB from the Z590/Z690 Dark. I’m kind of wondering how this will change memory overclocking.
  6. I think everyone needing a GPU, needs to buy the Intel ARC750/770 GPU. Fortunately Linus also made a video titled. “Buy Intel GPU’s” I imagine his 15 million subscriber base should help drastically with Intel’s support. Intel will eventually get there in 2-3 years, and could easily knock down Nvidia for far less money. I’m tempted to grab a 4090 on launch, but I don’t have any bites on my 3090 Kingpin Hydro Copper for just $975 dollars. That kind of price is really only like $900 bucks before tax if you really think about it. It’s also only 12% slower then a RTX4080 (16)GB in Timespy extreme, only with more VRAM. Selling old hardware is very very tough!
  7. What hardware is considered Retro? How old does it have to be?
  8. I’m actually highly considering grabbing a RTX4090 on launch day to go with my 13900KF. I’d probably grab the cheapest one I can get my hands on. I’m selling a few things to hopefully grab one. I feel like stock will be good. And the performance improvements are really awesome. I play 2560x1440P how overkill a 4090 actually is. If I can sell my 3090 Kingpin Hydro Copper 24GB for around $1,000, I’ll grab one.
  9. DDR5 6600C32 is the fastest DDR5 you can buy right now. I figure it would OC really well. I was just curious if it’s worth buying with A-Die right around the corner. And can it run 7,000+ https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/VENGEANCE-DDR5-Memory---Black/p/CMK32GX5M2X6600C32
  10. It’s how the website is on Mobile iOS with my iPhone for some reason. If I write a post and hit submit. I can see the post, and it’s there. Well, if I go to reply to someone on a whole new post and hit submit. It will merge it all in to my last post. It looks like I’m editing my post and adding it all to one single post lol. But I’m not. It’s something wrong with the forum. It just merges them all together. If I close the website and re-open it and submit another post, it won’t do it. But I forget about the glitch and it happens sometimes. The above triple post was (3) separate post and (3) separate replies. But it merged them all in to one.
  11. I want to grab the Corsair 6600C32 sticks for around $300 ish with some discounts I have, and overclock them to 7,000Mhz on my Raptor lake 13900KF. From what I’ve gathered most 12900K’s hit IMC limits are 6800-6933. And the Unify-X would aid in this I am hoping. I imagine the raptor lake IMC is good. And I have seen a few people overclock the Corsair Hynix M die to at least 6933Mhz. I would sell my current memory and help recoup some of the funds. Some information I read, and it’s actually a great theory. So it seems Intel is binning the 13900K for future 13900KS models to be sold. Both 13900K and 13900KS have IGP’s. Well, we are assuming they won’t bin within the 13900KF’s because it does not have a functional IGP. So, the chances of someone coming across a really good “KS” Level 13900KF may be there. ^ This makes sense. But who actually knows how Intel does things. Just a thought. I can get some Corsair 6600C32 sticks for around $310 with a coupon code I’ve got from them. I’m after 7,000Mhz on Raptor Lake. Maybe more? Not sure how great the Hynix M die is. I mean, I’d probably only run this ram for a year like most of my stuff. Has anyone tested the 6600C32 sticks? Can they even hit 7000 reliably? Or is it all with silicon lottery with Hynix M die? I was hoping that Corsair 6600 C32 stuff is binned.
  12. I’m looking at the Corsair DDR5 6600 C32. I’m considering just selling my current set and grabbing these for the 13900KF. Does it make sense to still buy Hynix M-die right now?
  13. Videocardz said it’s 77.5% faster than a RTX3090. It looks like that leaked RTX4090 Timespy Extreme benchmark that doubled the RTX3090 is obviously overclocked. It did score over 20,000 though. Regardless it’s massively faster. We’re looking at almost 80% going from a RTX3090 to a RTX4090.
  14. Newegg is showing some decent prices around $1,599 for RTX4090. But, what I don’t get is why Asus believes they can sell their stupid 4090 Strix for $1,999? I mean, that’s just an air-cooled RTX4090..It may be good. But, it’s not +$400 premium good. What’s even dumber is, the 3090 Strix air cooled was actually more expensive msrp than the 3090 Kingpin Hybrid. I would love to know what Asus is smoking that makes them think they can charge all of this extra money. Nvidia also left room for a 4090Ti, so when it does release it’ll be more than a 3% bump in performance this go around.
  15. Considering the RTX4090 can just barely double the RTX3090 in Timespy Extreme graphics score. I would think something similar would happen with mobile GPU’s as well. I’m not going by any cuda cores or specs or anything like that. The RTX4090 leaked benchmarks are smashing the RTX3090 by a good 96% on the graphics score. That’s just absolutely scary freaking fast!!!! Looking at the new RTX4080 16GB model that cost $1,199. It is scoring roughly 15,000 in Timespy extreme graphics. The RTX3080 FE 10GB model scores roughly 7,950 in Timespy extreme. This would represent almost a 89-90% graphics score improvement going from RTX3080 to RTX4080. Now that RTX4080 is about 70% more expensive than the $699.99 dollar RTX3080 LOL. But, let’s get real you are actually getting what you pay for here with that price jump AND SOME… And, as for the cheap $699.99 RTX3080FE..No one could even buy one for $699.99 until roughly 2 years after it’s initial launch. So, that was a bunch of BS for Nvidia to even try and launch a super fast RTX3080 for $699.99.. No one could even get one except for famous YouTubers of course. Based on how the desktop side looks. I would expect almost 90-100% improvement in gaming laptops easily. That may sound crazy. But, these leaked benchmarks are displaying pretty much this. ^ Huge generational leap. Unless these leaks are BS, and all fake. But I don’t think they are.
  16. I think it actually is about 95-100% faster in GPU limited games lol. It’s terrible to say it..But dang that 4090 is crazy fast! Breaking 20K+ in Timespy extreme is just ridiculous. Imagine overclocked AIB cards on water cooling. We may be looking at 4090’s breaking 23-24K stable that can put that down in games. Until a new Gen game releases that makes it look SLOW that is..lol. That 4090 is the real deal from the looks of it. It may just be the largest generational leap there ever was.
  17. I feel like the stock 13900K is going to easily outperform the 7950X in single threaded and in games etc. However, the stock 13900K is most likely going to be about 4.5% slower than a 7950X in multithreaded performance while maintaining that 250w boost power. However, I imagine the 13900K will overclock and outpace the stock 7950X once the power levels are cranked up, the 13900K is also cheaper though. I have never seen Intel and AMD so closely matched. Where there really isn’t a major downside with either. AMD is actually the more expensive option, and they aren’t the budget choice with any downsides at all. I was able to buy a 13900KF, MSI Unify-X (2) Dimm motherboard, and 32GB DDR5 6000 CL36 for a grand total of $1,105 for everything. The 7950X is awesome. But, I’d be in for wayyy more than $1,105 if I wanted one.
  18. I’d think a 4070 mobile or 4080 mobile would tab in to some serious HP! Even if they are gimped down. The new RTX4080 that cost $1,199 Is throwing down a 50% higher Timespy extreme score compared to a RTX3090FE. That alone is a massive upgrade from even a 3090FE. This generation has offered some huge gains from the looks of it. I’m thinking even a low power 4070/4080 mobile chip would probably perform at very impressive levels like a 3080 desktop GPU . If you are buying a laptop, I’d save up and go for the top dog available so it’ll last as long as possible being a BGA design most likely.
  19. Redoing the tubing on the waterchiller using the proper fittings this time! Bleeding off some air bubbles. Water flow looks amazing considering it’s only (1) D5, and (1) less powerful D5. I did remove a 90 degree fittings, cut down drastically on excess tubing, and I made the water flow more of a straight shot! Chiller is cleaned up and ready for another year. Is it October 20th yet?
  20. The RTX4090 seems to double the RTX3090’s graphics score in Timespy Extreme. Stock vs stock. 10,300 compared to 20,200. It scores 65% higher than my heavily overclocked 3090 Kingpin on a 1/2hp waterchiller. But as for good ole stock 3090 FE? Lol. It practically doubles it.
  21. The RTX4090 is managing 20,200+ in TimeSpy Extreme. THAT IS BONKERS FAST!!! Because it’s doubling most stock RTX3090’s. Roughly 64% faster than my “Balls to the wall 3090 Kingpin Hydro Copper” The 4090 looks to be a solid improvement for sure. I just don’t think I’m ready to deal with the upgrade yet. I just pre-ordered a 13900K, and I’m actually curious to see how that CPU’s handles my current GPU. I may grab a 4090 Next year around Tax season. How it stands though, my GPU is super fast already and I don’t need a new one. At least with the new 13900K I’m doubling my multithreaded ability. I do think Nvidia is a disgusting cow if they don’t bring DLSS 3.0 to current Ampere GPU’s. A lot of people waited for months or years to even get a RTX3000 graphics card. And this new DLSS could work on Ampere GPU’s. Nvidia loses nothing by making it backwards compatible on Ampere. And they would just gain ground over AMD. If Nvidia brought DLSS 3.0 to Ampere, people would love them again. Or at least like them lol. Especially since RTX3090’s have OFA or “Optical flow sensors” and all the other stuff that can handle DLSS 3.0. C’mon NVIDIA!!
  22. 7% was large on something like a 7980XE too. We had several bios revisions for the X299 Dark motherboard. I tested every single one. I knew them all like the back of my hand. But older microcodes performed much faster usually about 7% faster in Cinebench and 3DMark physics test. But to utilize Resizable bar for newly released Ampere GPU’s, we were forced to use newer bios that all motherboard manufacturers started releasing. It was lame because you get better GPU performance at the cost of less CPU performance. I know some Asus X299 guys were making custom bios using the old microcode to work around this. But, it’s this type of stuff you find happening with all computer platforms. Newer bios may gimp your performance.
  23. Well, I hope my bios is updated to support new CPU’s. I feel like when I eventually power on this Unify-X Z690 with my 13900KF, it’s probably not gonna post at all. Maybe @Mr. Fox updated it. 😎 I doubt I’ll ever be benching any 12th Gen. So no worries there. I do hate being forced to run newer bios though. Especially from what I’ve seen on some platforms as high as like 7% faster performance just by using an older bios.
  24. Well, you don’t really need an upgrade on the CPU or the GPU. You’ve got a 12900K. Probably a good one too. And a 3090Ti Kingpin. I’m probably not changing my GPU either. My 3090kp feels extremely fast in games still. I’m looking forward to playing Starfield more than anything right now when it does finally release. I’ll probably take a week vacation off work LOL. I have about 100+ hours of Paid time off saved up right now anyways. I paid MSRP+tax for my 3090KP. And I paid for the KP waterblock as well. I’m enjoying this thing to it’s fullest. It has about 1,000+ hours of solid gaming time on it already.
