I don't think anyone here is a true Ahole....some heated discussions do happen from time to time (this is a hobby for passionate people) but nothing we couldn't agree to disagree and shake hands on (or just ignore). I have used other forums and got sick of the vitriol, political infighting or agenda's some people had (including NBR at times). But as you have already learnt, treat people as you would like to be treated. I like NBT and the people here and will continue to frequent as long as I'm welcome. So yes I'm with you! Let's make it good -

I am sad My Alienware 17 (R1 Ranger) is slowly dying. For about 2 years now the right side USB ports just havent worked, no voltage at all. I tried a new board (usb, rj45 daughter board) but it didn't resolve the issue. Tonight the left side front usb port stopped recognising USB sticks and portable drives (in windows and BIOS). It will still power the laptop cooler which also has a usb mouse attached. Left side rear port works fine. My Father gave me this pc new shortly before he died, so the sentimental value is great. I think it was ZorinOS 16.1 base, I tried on my Panasonic Toughbook cf-31 but nothing I could do to make it recognize the touchpad. Nothing in Zorin's forums or Ubuntu help pages would make it go....I finally gave up and installed windows 7

I think your right! I used to use Firefox but after I tried Brave that was my browser of choice. The banner announcing "You MUST upgrade to the latest windows" kinda annoyed me. I have decided now to try Linux again, this time PopOS...mostly because the Nvidia drivers (lack of) with most other distro's drove me crazy. If I have an enemy in this world that would be surprising news to me. Plenty of people don't like me, that happens when I tell to "go away". As for occasionally browsing non-reputable web sites...um...about that.

It's actually quite harmless advert for a infrared black that doesn't get easily hot when exposed to light...and its in a squid-seed sample bottle. Japan.
