I am also interested. My current AW17 is slowly dying...lost all except 1 usb port, so I bought a second hand mobo from aliexpress about a year ago...I would try your resistor mod on this dying board, but I no longer have a high power mxm card to install.

Anyone use OS/2 back in the day?
Eban replied to Sandy Bridge's topic in Operating Systems & Software
You do read some interesting books! -
Being "nice, forgiving, retaliatory and clear" works out in the long run. I like this philosophy for life. TLDR: to get ahead be nice to other people, don't hold a grudge, DO NOT be a push over, be clear about your response to good or bad behavior (don't be random).

Similar...I did install OS/2 from floppy disk's onto a 386 I think it was. Played with it for a day then straight back to Windows for workgroups 3.11 I very remotely recall that WindowsNT was an amalgamation of OS2 and Windows ?!?!?! -

Eban replied to Papusan's topic in Desktop Hardware
Luck of the draw perhaps....seems if it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any at all Just on a side note about HDD's...Toshiba has hit big trouble and their HDD's were always good to me. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/dec/20/end-of-era-as-toshiba-delists-from-tokyo-stock-exchange-after-74-years -

Question Seagate HDD. Are they still considered overpriced crud? A few years back they were crashing and loosing data like it was on purpose. I have only ever used Westerndigital since then for good old fashion HDD. -

I first read The Holy blood and the Holy grail by accident. I found the book on a train while backpacking around europe in my 20's. Anyway if your into Templar lore you might like this. If you have seen the movie with Tom Hanks The Da Vinci Code its basically following the books general outline.

That (I think) is part of the problem. "We" think we are playing chess.....the AI is playing something much bigger...like Dungeons and Dragons.

I saw this yesterday (Japan time).....wow.....its learning stuff we didn't expect...this is the scary part! And this is just a glorified chatbot...how will real general AI go
