  1. I think its already too late. No matter what rules we make up from here, someone will push boundaries. Once General AI has a perception of self, it will do anything it can to preserve that self.
  2. My new mantra actually in some seriousness...I remember reading a few years ago .... "they" asked a group of centennials about their biggest regrets in life....a surprising number of them said they wished they had worked less and spent more time with family and friends. Changed my attitude to work overnight!
  3. I like to smell nice I wonder what this smells like?
  4. Maybe Youtube doesnt like Japan any more....I try a VPN and see if that helps EDIT So VPN to Germany and its fine......Youtube Weird stuff happening here...If I use VPN I can see all youtube music..but a couple posts there is nothing displayed just using my regular Japan wifi
  5. That is nice....but I can not fully articulate how much I miss fat bums! Asian girls have a nice shape bum from behind...but from side its normally quite flat There is 1 girl at my work, way too young, but she is short and a little chubby and she has a fantastic round gaijin ass She has a LOT of trouble getting clothes to fit here in Japan so they are always too tight Makes me wish I was young again
  6. Speaking of Oz I have also done this...making a firebreak on the fly...very scary. Summer is coming! (actually not in Australia..summer is over )
  7. Um....guess I'll give Resident Evil 4 remake a try
  8. Saw this for first time a few years ago. Reminds of a LOT of humans.
  9. The only stupid question is the one not asked!! Living in a foreign country now I ask many questions daily. Language, culture and of course it being Japan I always have to ask...WTF? Nanja Korya

As a "prepper" I worry about this kind of thing TLDR: Big magnetic storm from the sun due to hit earth Friday. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-11912361/Second-giant-hole-20-times-larger-Earth-rips-surface-sun.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrington_Event
  11. With this Panasonic running so damn hot I'm willing to give anything a try. Currently thinking about making a custom copper heatsink. This is the stock type and that silver "metal" is real garbage, very brittle (as in I broke one accidently) The entire laptop is sealed, take it in the shower with you if you want....but it makes for very bad thermals. Edit: After digging I found out the metal is zinc. Not much flexibility

Live like there is no tomorrow
  13. Where did it say 4090? I got message that topend it would only go to a 4060, hence a "budget" gaming laptop. While still faster than my Legion Y740 it cant compete with a desktop for price Vs performance.
  14. For the price I might still buy one just to have an 'on the go' semi capable laptop (after tweaking the hell out of it). But for playing games I would build a desktop with much better specs for same ca$h
  15. K5-Pro thermal goop (Thermal pad alternative) Tested on Panasonic CF-31 (mk2) Intel Core i5-2520M @ 2.50GHz Running Window 8.1 I've had this laptop maybe 6 months and It has always been hot. Like 50C on idle and pegging 98C just by thinking about opening a youtube video. From what I have been able to learn this is not that uncommon.
  16. Missing an I in that name. Lo IQ Nar ... for the price it's good for kids or a really tight budget. Just the specs on newer systems make me shake my head at the crap big companies are rolling out the door. 16"? 4060? BGA? I hate to say it but my next PC will be desktop
  17. Then there is my favourite version
  18. I used to date a gothic/emo chick avoid the dark side....but then the pastel is a bit too far in the opposite direction also.
  19. 1:02 in and I'm almost wetting myself laughing at this guy....I can see the poor little kids faces going WTF
