  1. This helps a lot! I assume that I use HxD for this right? Just need this and thunderbolt working properly.
  2. So I'm preparing to put an RTX 3080 into my KM1 and I put in the RTX dsanke bios for my system (I previously had dsanke for my 8700k). After adding the bios i get this nice high-pitched noise from my headphone jack. Any way to fix? Rolling back the bios doesn't fix it. Also since I've been out of the loop what is the audio driver I should be using for the 870? EDIT: board isn’t dead, I was dremeling a stripped screw on the battery so some metal dusts must’ve caused a short. A bit of dusting and compressed air fixed that. Still figuring out how to get the audio effects to work now.
  3. That I still need to do. I sometimes regret not waiting for the P870TM now haha. I originally wanted to buy a TM bracket from Eurocom but they didn't have any at the time.
  4. I just chose option 1. Used a Dremel to cut the bracket then sanded it down to required height. Threads are still there. Did end up stripping the heatsink screws a year later so popped them out and am now using regular old laptop screws (I think M2.5x5).
  5. My current KM1 is going strong on 6 years. Need to find a 9th gen CPU to and a 3070 to put in it.
  6. Will do, do you know what dimensions the screws are? Have to get replacements. Or is it possible to use the KM1 screws? That way I can keep the CPU bracket the same.
  7. I should clarify that I already took off the heatsink from the board. I just want to get rid of the screws on it since I don’t want to buy another heatsink
  8. Can't see any cracks but if my 7th gen is working I guess it's the CPU. Now to find another 8th/9th gen for cheap... In other news, how do I remove the TM heatsink screws? One of them is stripped and I want to replace it. Currently using my old KM heatsink.
  9. Yes it does. I did remove a whole bunch of gunk from it (the stuff that blocks Liquid Metal from sticking) but it does heat up.
  10. So I’ve been running my dsanke modded p870km1 for some time now and ran into a slight problem. I have a 4.7 stable 8086k as the CPU. Recently after a BSOD computer won’t start. Reseating the cpu causes the screen to stay black on boot as well as fans ramping up to maximum after about 30 seconds. I also notice that when the fans start to spin, the power LED goes Amber and starts blinking. Currently swapped in my 7700k to keep the laptop running but I want to go back to my 6 core. So is my coffee lake dead? Tried reflashing the dsanke bios.
  11. Pinch me now, this is too good to be true. After my Clevo runs its course I may get one of these. Maybe I'll forgo the 3080 upgrade. Hopefully we can choose which GPU to use in the BIOS instead of that Optimus crap.
  12. Three things I need before I get another laptop. Socketed Ryzen Framework-style DGFF Unlocked BIOS Come on Clevo dont fail me now.
  13. A certain DTR company needs to start taking notes. Like now. Otherwise maybe we need a Framework with Prema BIOS mods 😮. It's not exactly the same as the DGFF since Dell doesn't publish things, but an open-source standard is something that we needed since yesterday.
