  1. Hello. The MXM cards can work on mini-pc that uses DP, HDMI out for external outputs. But for eDP internal displays, they won't work 😕 Also do you have a download link for your A14 BIOS for the M18X R2? Does it have a good GPU temp table?
  2. Even normal paste would be enough because of the new heatsink I designed
  3. Hello. It's been a while. I'm designing a new heatsink. This one should provide 150W easily. Here's the picture, I'll add one extra pipe so it can do 175W. Only for the new MXM offset GPUs
  4. Isn't the AW17 R1 problematic like the AW18 R1? Because you are stuck with 100W max and sometimes the graphics card throttles to 55W. I know that because I used a 3080 115W in the AW18.. If you want a strong heatsink, you have to create a sketch or a 3D model in CAD, that's what I did then find a manufacturer in Alibaba. But putting RTX cards on these Alienware aren't worth it. Try use an Alienware M18X R2, no TDP problems.
  5. No they don't. If we remove intel HD, it won't even display on the LVDS screen. Will only display externally. Even the 3060 doesn't have an eDP port to begin with.
  6. Maybe because the card doesn't have eDP lines. I tried every vbios. I have the schematics of my laptop, it's DP_D. Same goes for @ichime, this person has a ZBOOK G6 with eDP on port D and his 4090 doesn't work. Display only works on SG mode with Intel HD or without SG, it works with a compatible GPU in slot 1 for display.
  7. Hello. I tested an eDP DP_D card on M17X R4 it didn't work but works on my other laptop. Did any of you found an Ada MXM card that can do some proper display or not?
  8. Did you take the original VBIOS and only edit the max TDP target thru the Pascal tdp editor software? Did the software generate a correct md5 hash after saving the rom? There's a 160W vbios file on techpowerup for my P5200 but I'm scared to break the solder of the vbios chip.
  9. Did you ever try? Using CH341A? And have a 150W VBIOS running? @ssj92
  10. @ssj92Hello. Only maxwell cards are running at full speed on the second slot but not Pascal. My 970M ran at 85W max. P5200 ran at 77W max by using the same drivers
  11. You sure your card is from ZRT? Isn't it from X-VISION? ZRT does max 135W
  12. I do not have an extra OEM heatsink. Eurocom sells 100W ones for 150€ (that's the price I paid). Scammy I know. I could sell you the 150-160W heatsink for 180€ if it gets produced.
  13. Does your laptop use some weird shaped MXM cards with a power connector? Won't be compatible, I heard normal cards are breaking motherboards
  14. Hello. RTX 4090 MXM works on the second slot as a renderer. I designed a new heatsink that can support the new offset and also support 150W of heat. It's still under development. The Ada cards are very hot compared to let's say Pascal for example. An Ada card at 115W is more hot than a Pascal at 115W for some reasons.
  15. Hello. Could we have a screenshot of gpu-z showing the TDP specs?
  16. Just try with CH341A, no way nvflash would allow flashing it like that.
  17. Never mind, you have a ZBOOK g3. They usually all have DP_D. You need to try different HP VBIOSes, all of them. If 1060 doesn't work, try Quadro variants of the 1060.
  18. Maybe the guy has eDP on port D? You should try Dell vbios maybe one has C?
  19. I actually learnt that my laptop does eDP on DP_D. For the 4070, the seller told me it has eDP. Didn't specify which port, so I assume DP_D and it doesn't work! I tried different VBIOSes but the results are the same. I think the 4070 doesn't have physical capabilities to do eDP!
  20. On the internet, that's what I've heard. Some get Pascal support with very early beta vbios on LVDS. Yes my RTX 4070 doesn't have eDP then. Despite the seller telling it has by email. He even said that the 4060 doesn't have eDP but it says "eDP on port D" on the specifications and no eDP mentions for the 4070's specifications...
  21. Probably your card doesn't even have eDP. Even if the VBIOS says it has. Yours don't have the physical lines for it. That's what I'm suspecting on my card. You should just buy a regular pascal card from Dell/HP/OEM that were made for laptops display. Because my pascal card works on my laptop.
  22. Hello again. Here are some news. I tried to flash 3 different vbios on the RTX 4070 MXM. One that's NVIDIA Generic ID 2860. One that's Dell ID 2860 One that's HP ID 2820. None displayed on the eDP screen... Maybe the RTX 4070 MXM doesn't have eDP lines? Even if the seller told me that the card has it.. but on their website it doesn't precise it.
  23. D channel DP driver G6 eDP I found this diagram but doesn't help lol https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/read/50891087/clevo-p270wmunlocked-data-sheet-gadget Edit found something. DP_A = DP/DVI? DP_B = DP DP_C = HDMI DP_D = eDP But why does the DP_D for eDP on the 4070 doesn't work tho? But it works for RTX 3000 Turing
