Nice score mate. I think my 11800h had the highest score of 13300. pretty impressive that you cpu keeps up with newer/better tech. What do you get stock with your 2080 in firestrike ultra/timespy

Its the same with HP. I have to install Hp omen gaming hub and it starts like 7 services and bogs down the laptop, without it everything is near instantaneous and with it its definitely slower. frustrating buying a asus ROG strix keyboard and to get all the features I have to install what seems like bloat/malware/viruses/trojans. really unprofessional. also I noticed 3d mark opens java to run benchmarks????is everything a farce lol -
Worst game of the year. People complain about starfields locked 30/60 it rarely fluctuates. in forza the game will run at 50fps in some scenes and 20fps in cutscenes and various other times. I have played 20 hours of this game and it is by far the worst racing game I have ever played, it is a first where racing feels like a chore vs just fun and accomplishment. least fun ive had in a long time but im a die hard racing fan, i probably will grind through it just to tell people i beat it and its the worst experience ever lol.
-
for some reason when I do a fresh install of windows and run starfield I get blurry unloaded textures. when I load AtlasOS the textures become sharp and detailed. no idea why as it would be nice to have everything on my laptop just work without insane time spent fiddling. thinking of buying a console but I probably wont and if I do it will just be a series s

well im playing forza right now and if your a racing fan(alotRnot) Its not very fun, has terrible graphics and runs at 30fps when it should hover around 2000fps. literally a cell phone could run this game as far as visual fidelity in fact I think grid autosport on my phone set to quality runs and looks better than forza motorsport on my laptop. my laptop is huge my cell phone is like 1 tenth the size. somethings not right.

oh wow, your right, no idea why they would be twice as much in canada, but since I live in canada for now, this deal seems to good to pass up. I'll buy both if they are available on the 27th, really exciting I can load all my nature shows lol. I have 3tb of storage right now and its not enough to load most of my favorite games so yes 8tb would be nice or 6tb on my gaming laptop and 4tb on my ultrabook 410 plus shipping for 8tb, thats insane. if serp wants them though i guess its a duel....bows out lol

I thought of doing that, I think high resolution and 120fps is where its at for gaming and I do like the odd game. If I get a used desktop with an older cpu and a 4090 ill be able to game at decent framerates, but the cpu matters when gaming at higher refreshrates so id be missing out, id have to upgrade the cpu and motherboard/memory just after dropping the money on the desktop, but then again this might not be a bad idea as I think I saw some desktops with decent i7s for around 500 bucks. just save for another 3 months and upgrade the rest, gpu is still the most costly and just as important as the cpu in gaming. I checked out best buy and newegg. any places you would recommend for a used desktop. -

yeah I might jump this ship in december/early january. or might wait(never ending). I think with the 4090 nows a good time to jump ship but I think nvidia has big plans for the 5090 ect because of the recent advances in AI the jump could be monumental. who knows but them it would be nice if some intel got leaked. I think thats a balanced view that automating the performance increases as a plus, because at the end of the day we are the minority not many people buy systems just to play the odd game/no game and strickly benchmark and tweak. -

it's great seeing that everything will be automated facepalm. but most games are gpu bottlenecked and cpu doesn't matter as much, I run 99 percent of games at 2.2ghz for temps and stability and net the same framerates as 4.6ghz I could post a pic from any game that exibits(99percent) this behaviour at 1440p-4k. I guess if you game at 480p or 720p cpu would matter quite a bit, I think nvidia needs to release a modern 980ti/1080ti monster. the 4090 is bad ass but I think the 980ti/1080ti were more revolutionary for their time. 1080ti still plays games at medium/4k/60 -

Im glad you sold it, but the point is I unintentionally made you wait, time is money for everyone regardless of situation. I sent you a PM as it's more of a private issue. At any rate ill keep you posted, I can't post keys in the forum anymore so I guess ill just send people PMs from now on. Maybe I missed it but are you buying a 14k CPU? and is now a good time to get a 14k cpu and a 3k series gpu or should I go for a 4080? In december I will be buying a desktop on boxing day just need to know what the pros think, advice or suggestions. -
@serpro69the rockets are going for 683usd on amazon. I think it should be first come first serve I don't mind missing out. you can get both for 480cad thats cheaper than buying just 1 new. I'm sure he would ship to europe just use snail mail haha. yeah go for it and report back with experience actually this leads me to a question @SapphiraTriX298why are you selling them for a quarter of their used value? source 704cad https://www.amazon.ca/Sabrent-ROCKET-Internal-Performance-SB-ROCKET-4TB/dp/B07ZQSDQDB?th=1 I don't want a hot item lol(joking) or do I...what would satan do in this situation

@Mr. Fox For the NUC debacle santa from canada might have a present. keep your eyes on a PM(sent) on the 27th. you might just be able to play/bench the game sooner. And I might pull the trigger on all three new COD games and do a binge, feels like I have to force myself to play and beat a game, fish out of water. I really enjoyed COD from 2007 and if I don't enjoy the new games that everyone loves I guess ill give up on gaming, why buy a gaming laptop and not game. I think as you get older gaming become less intriguing, and interesting, fun as pulling teeth at the dentists. but every once on a blue moon it is enjoyable. I will try to beat forza motorsport and starfield then COD(remakes). and then I'd say the 2200 iv'e invested in my laptop is semi-worth it. Bro @PapusanI'm actually happy for you, not sure why but its going to be interesting to see what you and the others can do with the new chips. -
Heard good things about the ROG Rapture GT see here https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/asus-rog-rapture-gt-ax11000-pro Good range great speed, reliable. not much more you could want from a router aside from NEW-newer RGB buttons

I was trying to find a laptop that actually gets 10hours of say moderate usage but to no avail. I have a lenovo ideapad 1 with a athlon 3050u processor and I dont think anything has a more efficient non arm processor atm. I get 7 hours and its ok. but It would be niceto get 10hours sot, one laptop that might have a good display and battery life possibly my next purchase to replace my ideapad will be the refurbished galaxybook2 pro with the amoled display and 15hours light usage. @kojackyou say you get 10-11hours? is that usage like watching a video and surfing ecetera or off and on usage?

thats the kicker, if it has a campaign its an instant buy down the line but if its just multiplayer ill pass or just dabble. Unless the graphics are revamped I don't see any reason for them to even release it -

Its alright, I downloaded the multiplayer beta that is on offer at steam. im getting 35fps average at 4k/high which is really good for a 2023 game, seems well optimised but as usual game looks meh, 2005-2006 graphics. gameplay is nice, just not a fan of multiplayer at the moment. -
