    I have not heard of hp throttling their cpus but it may be the case. In a notebookcheck review the review claimed the temps normalized around 84c and the core clock was around 3.4ghz. I think im doing pretty good with this cooler getting 70c at 4.2-4.6 ghz. I have been able to lock clocks in at 4.6ghz a few times. but right now im not sure why but it won't let me. Im not really a power user anymore as my memory is degrading(schizoeffective disorder). I am super happy that I can now game for hours on end without crashing. before the cooler my games would crash due to overheating and now iv'e been able to comfortably game for hours with low temps. Even if you have temps in the 70s with say a sager laptop I highly recommend the iets gt500 its only 100 and the best money you can spend on a gaming laptop.

    I just undervolt gpu and then lock in framerate with vsync. Temps between 49c and 61c after 8 hours straight. Temps can only do so much. My laptop is power throttling after further investigation which is the Pitts. The artifacts are gone with different clocks and drivers but boy did that depress me. I love this laptop it's all I have.

    Ok after giving it a second thought with the new drivers. It's 30.4k.high with a 3060. As a 3060 is not designed for 4k I'd say it has good performance. The driving is solid and so is the ai. Not to challenging but rather the right mix. Graphics are a pretty big jump going from high to ultra so I can't comment on how ultra Rt at 4k looks but for a quarter the performance on fms7 I'd give it a meh. If I was getting 60fps locked on medium at 4k I'd give it a plus but considering horizon 5 nets me 100fps on ultra at 4k and looks better with more geometric density and details I'd still say after 7 years of waiting it's a 6 out of 10. Basically just saying you are highly likely to be disappointed

    Yeah I think this laptops done. Artifacts while undervolted. Just started getting them with a long session of forza..I pray it's just drivers or the game software at play..very frustrating. Just upgraded ram and ssd.

    oh ok that sucks, Im not sure how people with 3060s are getting into the 10ks though. I upped my wattage from 115w to 140w and noticed a nice bump but I cant seem to break 10k I was always under the impression it was ram speed. my cpu score is limited by temps, im in the 90s at 4.2ghz. not to long ago I was able to do a run at 4.6ghz but the score was still around 11k. as for gpu, your right

    your on track with panel look. just make sure its the right pin connector. download hwinfo and copy paste your panels name in panel look and you should be good to go. also check out the hp sub section maybe @Kitjecan help now thats who i'd ask

    Its a good game, not great. who cares if it has flaws all games do except rdr2. I think if you don't like starfield in 2023 there are not many games you will like. not many 10/10 games, heck even forza motorsport was a flop, terrible experience with it. I have never hated a racing game.

    Nice score. I managed to beat my old top score, I think its completely bottlenecked from the 3200mhz ram now, nothing left That I can do. happy breaking 9700, kinda funny as laptops are breaking 27k and im happy with 9700. Im pretty sure if I had a 4090 laptop id be good for 5 years with my standards.

    I have my gpu undervolted/overclocked 154 at .9v it sees max temps of 67c with core at 1932mhz locked. I get 9150 in time spy gpu and cpu is a rotten apple scoring 11k but temps are above 90c even with worlds best cooler the gt500 I don't game with these settings. If I'm gaming I turn af to 16x or 4x and filtering to high quality. My gaming settings net me a timespy score of 8866gpu 11176 cpu. While gaming the temps stabilize just below 69c heres the settings changed and overclock/undervolt applied. not bad for a 115w 3060 11th gen laptop also yes I am pretty sure ram speed can bottleneck gpu. all the top scores for the 3060 are with 4500mhz ram for any laptops with 3200mhz im number one. Yes. In a nutshell RAM speed can certainly bottleneck a GPU. But…if you focused on RAM speed alone, you might not fully understand the whole picture. Using RAM in Dual-Channel & Quad-Channel configurations can significantly increase your frame rates.

    I score about 9500-9600 in timespy but I have ddr4 at 3200 im sure if I had it overclocked(not possible) or ddr5 id be around 10k-11k

    @kojack did you end up buying one, I perrsonally have a intel xe laptop and the graphics on it are suprisingly powerful

    I use chris titus gamerOS xml and ntlite free. nifty little program but unfortunetly its not easy to r3emove things if you dont know what your doing. I just installed a OS that is slimmed down. with chrome and 3 tabs open spotify in the background malwarebytes running and steam loaded I have 100 processes. as for performance it does diddly in benchmarks but speed and snappiness is impressive it feels like my computer did a hoot of crack.

    I agree, I'm getting sick of tweaking windows and lowering processes and ram usage only to see lower scores than a completely stock os. Its like a rookie such as myself in a sense jumps in and gets higher scores than someone thats spent countless hours tweaking their system. rigged. I enjoy beating my own scores and often times get the highest scores for my given hardware, but all of this is vain. I don't get a better gaming expereince nor does my system feel snappier than say a quick .bat to disable useless processes. I don't understand why windows functions like this, you would think if its running less in the background the system would feel and perform better. I will admit lowering processes to 70-80 and running the bare minimum will result in a snappier system, but nothings open. the best optimization is leaving your computer off. 0 processes running.

    yeah don't do VR it will ruin your 2d gaming enjoyment. its great but after you beat a few games theirs not much left to play. but before anything happens make sure you check out half life alyx start here
