Does 3800MHz RAM work in this laptop? Is it really at 3800MHz? I saw that @jaybee83 has that in his signature...

One question: is Prema the unicorn master? And that's interesting! What have you tested? Which BIOS version did you try to flash or mod? At work I could look around if we have a hardware flasher. I would try it if we have one that fits. Does anybody know what hardware flasher work for this BIOS chip? Or did you already test it?

What is the point of testing different devices if they are flashable? Do you think it's possible that some BIOSes doesn't have a flash protection? In fact I found out that my BIOS doesn't block flashing by configuration. Every known UEFI variable which could prevent flashing is set to the proper value to flash the BIOS. But in some laptop BIOSes there is something hard coded to prevent flashing, but that would be a no go because I guess there will be updates to our BIOs versions which can be made by normal users... Maybe there are already updates for one of the reseller BIOSes? Somebody here knows where to get BIOS for Hasee products. They sell the same device (I think it's the same. Could be another chassis tho)

It performs well. I've done geekbench benchmarks but with Windows 10. Single core was exactly the same as i9-12900 and multicore nearly the same. Something between 13000 and 14000. I will run some CineBench benchmarks with Windows 11 soon. I can't tell much about power consumption. And ThrottleStop isn't able to do much. You can disable Turbo Boost, C1E, Speed shift and some other minor things. I will report back tomorrow I guess.

Ok. I will try it at home... I tried to unlock everything in advanced screen of BIOS, but with UEFI shell it doesn't work. Everything that would be interesting doesn't work. All these show xxx entries are made in the Setup VarStore (Id 0x1), but the UEFI shell does not recognize the size of this varstore correctly and therefore there are offset out of range errors. Are there other possibilities?

My BIOS: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HiQZN0LQUMU5Et7hde-hUGIhn0erigQS/view?usp=sharing I don't know how to dump the vBIOS... No, there is no entry in my setup menu. But I can change it by hand 🙂

Let's do some magic: 1. Dump your BIOS: Follow the instructions from point one of this link: Click. 2. Download UEFITool 0.28.0 (why 0.28.0? Because newer versions can't modify BIOS roms). 3. Open your dump with UEFITool, press CTRL + F to start a search, select 'Text' and type 'MSHybrid'. Then in the message-box there should be some results. Double click one of them. Now right click the selected entry and choose 'extract as is'. Save it to a location you want (the name doesn't matter). 4. Use the tutorial of the link above and use IRFExtractor to create a human readable file of your extract. NOTE: Windows 11 doesn't have msvcp120.dll and msvcr120.dll. You can use 32bit versions from internet. 5. Open your newly generated .txt file and search for 'MSHybrid' again. NOTE: I've attached a screenshot: Red is the offset of the variable, green is the VarStore and blue are the possible values. You have to note the underlined values and the offset to a piece of paper and remember the VarStore value for the next point. 6. Find the name of your VarStore: search for 'VarStoreEFI' (if you search backwards it should find it immediately). It should look like the second screenshot. Compare the first blue mark of the entries with your VarStore value. If it is the same value, you can look for the name in the same line (second blue mark). Write it down on your paper. 7. Now follow step 5 of the link given above (you could also download this EFI shell to the root of your C:\ partition and boot it from file) This section will describe the process for MY BIOS! 8. Once the shell is booted, type 'setup-var [NameOfVarStore] [offset] [value]' For example: setup-var SaSetup 0xB1 0x0 for iGPU only and setup-var SaSetup 0xB1 0x4 for MSHybrid. 9. Restart using 'restart' or 'reboot' (I don't know which one works 😉). WARNING: Don't set it to discrete GPU only! It is not tested and it's possible that the screen of your laptop doesn't work in this mode! The MUX switch should be there if you can set these values. Or does a MUX switch do something else?

Hello, I'm Nico from Germany and I've signed up because I've bought the same laptop in Germany from Clevo-Computer dot com. I have an i9-12900T (because I thought it would be more power efficient...). I've already done some tweaks with ThrottleStop to get six hours battery time and managed to disable dGPU with UEFI shell. I could dump my BIOS (it's version 1.07.04) and upload it. But I have one question: I've modded my dumped BIOS. How can I flash it? Insyde H2OFFT doesn't flash it and the Intel firmware flash tool doesn't flash it too and I get an error (something with locked registers)... Best regards and thanks for this awesome thread! P.S. this laptop has definitively a MUX too!
