  1. Let's put it this way, for my current employer, managers are not permitted to act as references or give letters of recommendation to past or current assets or employees. I'm also not permitted to work in any field that competes with my current employer as a side gig, nor am I aloud to say anything at all about my employer (not that I would, they are always watching social media these days). Nor am I permitted to work for any company that has disparaging things toward my employer. I am Sadly risk adverse, so I'll try to make a change with the current employer first before walking away.
  2. They would probably want to use reasonable since legally it would difficult to come up with a labor law regarding temperature when its always in a state of flux. At-will works both ways, there is no reason to give "2 weeks notice" in states that have at-will, at least not in my opinion. Especially when you dont really get the same treatment, at least in my spot. Most of the people I have seen give notice were shown the door that moment. I thought I could make something of their production (in fact, already determined how to do it, and proofed) but corporate politics once again takes center stage.
  3. I don't work in direct sunlight, which has its own list of concerns that you would want mitigated. The trade off is greater heat exposure. I use a product directed at marathoner types called lyte show, basically all the things you want for proper hydration beyond just water alone. I was a little low on my potassium so I'll need to supplement that a bit more otherwise I should be fine. The main issue was the flu interrupting my bodies internal processes.
  4. I don't employ the use of hyperbole. As far as I could tell there is no laws on the books that prevent working in those conditions as we have outdoor workers on the daily for things that @Mr. Fox has already detailed. I have access to water, I take my legally and policy enforced breaks. Then you'd have to argue semantics or push the blame to the landlord that holds the lease. I'm not exactly complaining about that, those are constants every year it's not going away. My issue stems strictly from abusing my position when it's convenient for my leadership to do so. Then pretend everything has been in the straight and narrow the whole time. Those are things that irritate me.
  5. I basically work in those temperatures, if not a bit higher due to the heat generation from various (thousands) of PC's in a warehouse. I may have to quit though, HR is not approving my sick leave, and also not allowing me to return. Im not a supervisor or manager yet I manage up to 18 people for 10 different projects in a given day but private and public sectors with varying clearance levels. They have been abusing me for some time now, though there is an offer to become a Project Manager. I didnt want to take it as a means of self preservation but this might be the only option on the table if I am to stay with this company. I know the PM's well and its their boss who made the offer, who has similar thought processes in terms of operations (where he used to operate). The title could prove useful in future endeavors though. I despise crossroads.
  6. Can't explain why but I'm imagining Mr Fox wearing a spartan helmet, sword in hand and a cup of coffee in the other ready to duel to the death for the cpu. I'd watch it. For science
  7. Not at all, we just do the best we can.
  8. No worries, been sleeping since when ever that post was made. It appears I was also down 4L of fluids. I had about 320oz of water that day so I'm a little confused about that. The whole experience has left me unable to walk (general weakness, but coming back over time)
  9. I'm at hospital, flu, not learning anything right now
  10. How often police chases only ever go straight
  11. No idea, my previous was a refurb Acer 27" @1080p144hz This one is also 144hz
  12. Recently picked up a 27" 1440p monitor, it was a budget oriented choice I think close to 200 USD? Sceptre by brand, its mostly pretty good, but there is some light bleed. Been thinking it might be time to get the 5800X3D so I can have my benching PC do benching things again...
  13. Making an app is not the same as building an OS that you will be praying doesn't get you sued for infringement.
  14. I believe you may have misquoted, I am not the one testing 1070 in the viking :)
  15. Not too encourage off topic too much but I had always thought that if you dont want to support a mobile device anymore, then its time to unlock the bootloader. You can claim its to prevent e-waste and encourage education in the field or something but I have some phones on my shelf from AT&T that still work fine that I cant do anything with since they are so far and away out of date. I use some of them as secondary alarm clocks and thats about it.
  16. There has been a lot of shifting in the VPN space as big companies keep buying out the smaller ones, so pending what you prioritize the answer may change. That being said I tend to use Private Internet Access, also used it to assit with making the NBRchive
  17. Just to be sure, you did use a VPN sourcing from your locale correct? Not VPNing to USA to then access this site?
  18. I'll reach out to my friend tonight and ask him to confirm the status of our backend but it appears to be your internet, unless it's also on wifi? Could try a VPN just to rule it out a bad pathway to the forum. Also could try getting a new public IP by changing Mac address of your modem/router which would effectively be the same thing from a troubleshooting standpoint.
  19. As I had stated multiple times before, you can hide your own posts.
  20. That MSi 1070 is the one I used to have, worked really well. Just need to make sure its not a G-sync card if my memory serves me correctly.
  21. This thread will now be unlocked. I dont mind heated debates or even arguments, but certain things are out of bounds. Its best to keep that in mind when engaging. Thanks.
  22. This thread will be locked until tonight.
  23. Eurocom cards are absurdly overpriced and they tend to profit off of other peoples experiments. For a while they were using the cheap ebay cards as well. Probably still are, given their track record. Does their GPU use supplement power? One of the difficulties of this hobby is that every GPU and vBIOS will have similar and/or unique conditions that must be met in order to function correctly. So while a Eurocom card may work, the MSI one you are looking may not. Not trying to convince you not to try, just trying to temper the hype. Ive been there lol
  24. Before you get to fitment, it looks like that card would need supplement power?
