Nothing happened to @Hertzian56, a picture of a swastika was posted and removed. He was asked not to post that picture again, to which he reposted and was removed a second time. He has also accused me of granting additional perks to only this benchmark thread (picture allotments) which as we all know, many here use picture hosting websites to backfill that limitation, which is completely ok and supported from the forums software. The opinions of @Hertzian56 are still present for anyone to see. As a result of this users retaliation, a one week suspension has been issued, name has been reverted back to its original state and they are welcome to continue posting after the cooling off period. Its not, it was renamed in retaliation to moderator action. To which it has been reverted. I wouldnt suggest I am banning anyone without going through extreme measures first. You openly criticized my request to not quadruple post, that alone isnt what issued the warning however, it was the rant that went along with it, which is ground we have covered already in the past a few times at this point. Once again, if you have issues with the rules you can always PM me and discuss. Instead you engage appeal to popularity / appeal to authority to rile up "the crowd" here in this thread almost like clockwork. The rules have been the same for almost 20 years. I also agree, its also worth noting that anyone can always reach out and discuss if a topic is ok or not. Neither of the members that have recently taken the "spotlight" have ever once reached out, instead repeating what was specifically requested to not be repeated. This results in a slap on the hand, sadly.

Its usually best to confirm whats happening before making statements of fact. As explained in the other threads, each member has a storage limitation, the more images you post, the less space you will have. Your perceived favoritism over the benchmark threads in the desktop side of the forum is misplaced. As they are placed under the same limitations you have. They elect for 1 of 2 scenarios. Either use an image hosting site and embed to the forum (which the forum software supports) or delete older pictures from their accounts so they can keep hosting the images here. Lastly, the picture was removed for a reason, do not repost it again. Thanks!

Again we haven't made any recent changes to the forum, it was updated and Hiew did announce to the forum when that occurred. Here are the current settings that have been in place since the original inquiry to picture attachments last year. NBR was owned by a corporation as well as had ads running, neither of which apply here :( Thats right, I said favoritism, since it was insinuated. Anyways the above settings have been place for almost a year. Once you use up what is available the amount you will be able to upload will reduce until you dont have any space available.

I had edited additional context to what you might have perceived as favoritism is the forum members realizing the limitation of the forum as it is currently and using other picture hosting sites to get around this limitation, which is perfectly amicable as the forum has the ability to embed them (or at least that is my current understanding).

Nope. We dont have the money to facilitate that at the moment. We host our own forum, just licensing forum software. Storage is a limitation we have not been able to expand on quite yet as scaling it up will need some consideration first. The benchmark thread has the same limitation that the entire forum has. They predominantly do not embed pictures directly into the forum storage as they eat up the per user allocation pretty much the first day. To get around this they embed pictures from imgur and other sites like it. Those that do clear out previous pictures since most of the time they only use it for additional context during the topic of the day.

General, sub-section number 4. make a thread if you want a retro build thread, not making another section for retro builds when there isnt a single thread for them on the forum presently.

Wont know until someone gets their hands on one. Though I wouldnt expect the most performance if its out of a Dell system, they've traditionally always treated AMD components as an afterthought.
