And it will be worse. The twin with 16GB vram for $100 more will be even a worse purchase. How big chance you think that Nvidia will reduce MSRP at launch for 4060Ti@16GB cards? Or is the $499 MSRP put in stone? Why I ask.... "Very Few Are Interested" in RTX 4060 Ti 16GB GPUs, Nvidia AIB Sources Reportedly Say If nvidia was smart from the beginning... Only released 4060Ti with 16GB vram for $429. Still more expensive than prev gen but they could at least have avoided the massive complaints about 8GB vram. And the price hike would only come from inflation. Not greed. With the review of the coming 16GB variant... Nvidia will get shitstorm Nr2 for same Sku. Not the best if you want sell loads of these 4060Ti cards. -

Forgot this one. Corsairs engineers did the same also for their RMe series (2023) Gen5 PSU models. ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 compliance come with the much better choice as the 2x8-pin to 12VHPWR power cable. I love it when people/engineers use their heads @Mr. Fox @Rage Set๐ https://hwbusters.com/psus/corsair-rm1000e-gen5-psu-review/ -

Who in their right mind would pay 4070 prices for 4060@16GB cards from Asus? Is it something wrong with me, or is there some very very stupid people out there willing to pay Asus near or close to +600$ for a crippled low tier graphics card? More vram won't fix the castrated mem bus on the 4060 series cards. And the 4070 is well overpriced as it is. ASUSโs ROG STRIX Variant of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16 GB GPU Costs Over $600 US, More Expensive Than 4070 And I would be crazy if I throw out 890$ + shipping on a new Cpu that will be replaced by 14900K within 4 months. Will see how long it will stay on OC.net - May 9, 2023 (Edited Jun 27, 2023) [EU] i9-13900KS SP 111 overall, 120 PCore / 93 ECore, delidded, lapped, Z790 Apex optional โฌ810 EUR (890$) + shipping. -

Yep, I smelled this once I saw their release of their new PSUs one month ago. I in short said they was on the way digging their own grave.... Yep, I was spot on bro @Rage Set And if you have followed my older posts a few months ago I was very clear that EVGA went their own ways.... And nope. I won't replace my trashy Z690 Apex board with one from EVGA. It's what it is but better with minimum support than almost no support or no support at all within a few months forwards. On top I save my hard earned money. BUY new MB from a manufacturer near the death is just dumb. EVGA... -

Proof in the pudding. Stilll have any trust in CableMod bro @Mr. Fox? New CableMod Basics 90 degree cables available on Amazon US! And yet, its the adapters that burn up. Lower sales with the adapters but they stands for 99.99% of melted connectors. /cdn-cgi/image/format=auto,onerror=redirect,width=1920,height=1920,fit=scale-down/https://www.overclock.net/attachments/1688748321593-png.2620451/ And it seems some of the PSU manufacturers have improved their 4 spring terminals and connectors.... Nice with white theme. This yellow brownish color looks more like first gen Dell Alienware Lunar white after 4 weeks use, LOOL And with real melting, you can see that CableMod didn't follow Intel and PCI-SIGs recommanded terminal design. They prefer go the wrong way. Probably to cut costs/easier to get because all other avoid them. Everyone have warned about the Dimple terminal design since end of 2022. Suffered the fate of the burning 180 degree adapter And the competitor to CM use real terminals. Not many have posted melted MODDIY cables. All MODDIY cables and adapters are using top-quality high-current 4-String terminals as recommended by Intel. -

From Aris on Hardware Buster. He is spot on. Exactly what I have said the whole time. Stupid have the flimsy 12VHPWR connector on the PSU panel (ATX 3.0 models). Not only due the change of new revised connector but having this small fragile Power connector on the PSU you also have the same bendgate mess as for the GPU connection. + they have a very bad locking mechanism. (He evnen adviced the PSU manufacturer to use old fashion 8-pins on the PSU side for the 12VHPWR cable). See and learn from 1:29 Very pleasant to see him come to same conclusion as me ๐ New has to be better bro @Rage Set๐ This looks fun. But will probably be watered down to nothing. Same also against Nvidia. For the records... I have posted this before. CableMod don't use the terminals they bragged about in Igorslab review of their angled adapters. They have changed and use cheapo home-cooked junk. From what I have read, CM have swapped to 2 dimple design. And 3 dimple design wasn't good enough for Intel. They wanted 4 spring design. Go figure what CM have done. Class action time. Please message me if you had a cablemod melted adapter that broke your GPU. -

If they are able to sell more cards they should get better prices from Nvidia. So maybe some of both. And nvidia can't produce more chips if their partners can't get rid of them. -

How can the AIC partners go down to 999$ if they only have 5% profits from the graphics cards? Something doesn't smell well. Coupon or not, Why sell the cards at a loss? Or maybe Nvidia silently have reduced its profits? Some have to grab the loss. But still, 200$ too expensive. Lower to $799 and the cards would start sell damn well. https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4080-drops-to-999-for-the-first-time -

With the increase in mem capacity for DDR5 sticks there is now less need for 4 dimm boards. This is a very good thing for 2 dimms motherboards. They should become more popular forwards. -

Nvidia is the guinea pig for the revised 12V-2ร6 power connector. Yep, they know much more than what they will tell you. Just let the owners who bought the launch card of 4090 struggle with smoke and fire. I'm sure Nvidia also will add in a revamped connector on the 4090FE. Not white but if you can find the new Corsair HX1500i ATX 3.0 PSU at a good price then you have a good unit. You may also have chance to find the older 2021 version of HX1500i (my son have one) but without the ATX 3.0 specs. The good thing... You'll avoid have the small flimsy 12VHPWR connector on the PSU side even if the PSU is speced with ATX 3.0 specs. See my older post above. Remember the new modern ATX 3.0 - 1000W PSUs have almost none of the 8 pin connectors. So avoid them. They are bad Jokes. Galax have a new White 1300W ATX3.0 PSU with dual 12VHPWR connectors. But I prefer 8 pins on the PSU side of the 12VHPWR cable. You get the best from both worlds(loads of 8 pins for powering both 4090 and older gen cards). Can't beat that. I needed dual PSU setup to fulfill my needs. Imagine, if I bought the new modern who usually offer minimum of 8 pins connectors than the older PSUs... I would be damn angry. New is newer. Not better. -

Not a single user post burned up vanilla cables in Nvidia reddit or PC build threads. And we know custom cables is done by many brands, OEMs and PSU manufacturers (me etc use BeQuiets own cables). Not even in PSU manufacuturers forum you find them. Thats very odd. Not normal if we can see all the adapters poping up melted from CM. Maybe 2 mill cards is sold from 4000 series the last 8 months. The amount adapers sold by CM is a drop in the ocean but they flood in as melted adapters. None of CableMods custom cables is in the Death statistic. Only their adapters. Dang. The users nickname match the CM adapters and GPU's sad end of life, LOOL Not fun with hard-tubing when this happens. Yep, I prefer softubing. Have always done.
