We have return policy. Will check it out. But I may try it out a bit first. And I need to see what they have in the stores. We haven't that much of different models at an ok price. Or worth to buy. And then you have the lack of GPUs. The stores is flooded with 4080 and 3090. 4090 not much in stock. And yep, the 3090 is equal expensive as 4090 Regarding the cut of on the back plate.... They save on cost both for paint, metal and thermal pads. I really hate it. And the worst part... This modern is here to stay. I didn't think much about it when I saw the cards.. But once I had it in the chassis I could clearly see what can happen. There is a few there out that don't have draining plug or QC fittings. Swap out a water block can be damn expensive if you don't remove the card. Often people have hurry and forget the most important. Yep, I hate it. Stupid design. Sorry I haven't a triple facepalm🙂 -

Hi. Yep, not the best memory. I think I max out at 1300. Very fun when you buy the most expensive high end and risk get bin quality lower than the cheapest vanilla 4090's at $1600. Yep very disappointing that the QC - the bin job is done so badly. I'm not even sure they put much work into binning the Gpu. Nice look over everything else. Not sure what I will do forwards. Not much time for testing now but we'll see what I will do. But a very nice card. All I know... If I go back to air cooled card I will save money and time... I don't need to re-do my whole loop. And it will be faster swap out to other cards as well. But whats weird... If I push mem a bit higher the pc/screen freeze. I wondered about this. I haven't had new graphics cards the last years. Is this the normal behaviour when you go slightly too far with mem oc on newer cards? And then you have the new nice rules on the bot. You have to enable ECC in NVCP with 4000 series cards. This put you back around 5-6% in performance (UL/Futuremark let you put whatever setting you want for ECC). And all top spots on the bot have run benches with it disabled and got an advantage from it. It's very easy to forget enable it, then reboot before you do a few fast benches and post it on hwbot. God luck moderate scores. Because more SKUs from 4000 series will have it. Even older 3090Ti had it but if you have this card you don't need to bother with NCCP and reboots. https://hwbot.org/submission/5140652_papusan_gpupi_v3.3___32b_geforce_rtx_4090_58sec_603ms You can get the cruise ship in white now. Not so sure it will help on the chips bin quality😁 ZOTAC & AXGaming introduce white GeForce RTX 4xxx I installed the 12VHPWR Adapter Cable from be quiet. This time I needed two try to hear the click. And I could barely hear it. Bad design. Not the Be Quiet cable but the connector design. And the hook to secure the connector is a huge Joke. Why make the hook on the 12VHPWR connector so damn small that it barely is able to lock and secure the connector to the GPU? How difficult was it to make the hook on the connector a bit bigger? Even the whole 12VHPWR connector. Could be that the R/D team from PCIE sig, Intel and the rest is former Apple engineers. Those shoud never have such an job. I can clerly see why we have seen the smoke. The design is awful. But only one PCIe cable for the GPU is nice. One thing I don't like with many of the GPUs is the nicely done cut out on top of the back plate. A big chance that condensation water can drip straight into the graphics card if you run the Cpu coold and forgot to protect it. CableMod 12VHPWR Custom Cable Overview overclock3d.net Let's make one thing clear, we don't like Nvidia's 4x 8-pin to 12VHPWR adaptors To put it simply, we at OC3D do not like the 8-pin to 12VHPWR adaptors that most RTX 4090 graphics cards ship with. They feel cheap, and they are not long enough for PC builders to tidily manage their system's cables. Even at launch, we used a direct-to-PSU 12VHPWR cable for our testing, avoiding Nvidia's adaptor entirely. -

Not only me thinking the same. See here... And my youngest son went with a relative cheap 3070. I can't see much is tempting by this gen graphics cards. All too much binning and too high prices. If people is able get a cheap 3090 (Ti) and don't bother too much with RT, they will do a good deal. Because everything below 4090 is a huge Joke. Nvidia need to shave of 2-300$ for each 4xxx SKU to make it a worthy purchase. We don't live in a mining hell anymore. Neither should the prices. ----------------------------------------------------------- Not all new tech is equal awful priced as graphics cards... Nvidia need to fit in this one as well. With the price hike it will be more expensive than 3070 at $499 MSRP. Either $549 or $599. Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Specs Leak: AD104 Cut by a Quarter tomshardware.com Significantly behind the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti? According to the leak, Team Green decided to use a severely cut-down AD104 GPU for the product, though it remains to be seen how fast it will be in actual games and how it will rank on our list of the best graphics cards. Reducing the number of active CUDA cores so significantly ensures that Nvidia will have plenty of AD104 graphics processors that are good enough to power GeForce RTX 4070 graphics boards without doing extensive (and expensive) binning. Edit: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070: Leaker reveals specs of the 31 TFLOPs "middle class" graphics card The big question remains the price - the GeForce RTX 3080 was originally supposed to be launched for a list price of 699 euros, but due to the shortage of GPUs and currency fluctuations, prices have risen massively since launch. Introducing a new mid-range graphics card with only slightly better performance two years later at a higher price can hardly be described as "progress". However, since the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is said to cost $899, customers should hardly expect a cheaper price. -

LOOL. Either he got screwed by the packaging team or you get less pads then adverticed in the manual😁 -------------------------------------------------------- More for the same amount money... Is quite rare. can't remember last time I have seen similar from any tech. And then we have 4070 Ti coming out in January. Less or equal performance vs 3090. If people are smart... Check the sales pages forward to see if they can grab a card from previous gen. Me see it will be hard for Nvidia put the 4080 at $999. Why should they if this card parform slightly above what the best AMD can offer? On top they have better features. The worst of this mess. AMD can't even compete properly with xx80 from Nvidia. And Nvidia have still not released a xx80 Ti. -

Nvidia have a price problem with 4090. Because the AIC partners sell custom cards at sub $2000. A 4090 Fe would destroy the sales of custom 4090's. The performance increase from 4090 to 4090 Ti is too big paying same price for Ti as a custom xx90 from AIB partners. This would mean people will scrap custom 4090 and rather go with 4090 Fe. What you think the AIC partners would say to this if Nvidia did it this way? The EVGA case would be a mild blow compared. Me... Seeing Nvidia need to put a higher price tag if they release this card this spring. Nothing below $2299. Custom cards well above $2499. And I doubt Nvidia will reduce prices for 4090 right now. Or ever. -

They have already come a long way to do that. Same increased OC board power (even higher than many AIC cards), boost clocks and are almost on par with cooling. And the best binned vram chips on top. No wonder EVGA jumped the ship. So why not make a model with water block?😄 Maybe a bit too early. Need a bit more time to eat up their own partners. The whole sales infrastructure has to be modernized first. Take over the whole AIC partners sales can't be done over a week or a month. Edit. Need to redo the water loop. And I need parts for that. Not easy find right before Cristmas. Maybe a job in the New year if I cand find what I want. So I had to find a way to mount the bad boy in the big black box. Worlds biggest chassis don't help much if the radiators you already use is too big and eat all space. Won't be used much before I get the new cable from Be Quiet (on the way but when). Easy hear the click from the modern adapter cable when I mount it in the card. If it burn, it wont be my fault, LOOL I had aviable 3 mm space between the top radiator fans and the radiator for the GPU. And the radiator for the Gpu don't sit snug with the chassis wall due I can't put it higher up to mount it properly. Hence steel wires and the tubes down. -

Probably more because Nvidia was late out determine board power. I think they reduced TDP for the 4080/4090 cards when they had enough inside info for what AMD would offer for Radeon 7900. So it was too late in the development cycle make changes for the cooling design. They could have saved on the cost with a smaller cooler. But for me... Bigger is better. Always🙂 -

It's alll about the costs. But buy a high end AMD or Intel ARC is a no go. Only cheaper models to have some fun AMD Radeon RX 7900 in 3DMark We now have the very first confirmed 3DMark results of AMD’s upcoming Radeon 7900 series. https://videocardz.com/newz/first-amd-radeon-rx-7900-xtx-7900-xt-3dmark-timespy-firestrikes-scores-are-in 4080 and Radeon 7900 series is a no go for me. 4080 is stupid priced and need to go below or same price as AMDs new cards. Proper price for 4080 should be $800. But I guess Nvidia will put new 4080 MSRP at $1099. Aka a bit higher than AMDs fastest card to steal sales and increas the market shares. But nothing coming close to 4090 from AMD, hence nvidia can and will continue with the awful prices for this card. AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX & RX 7900 XT 3DMark GPU Benchmarks Leak, Trading Blows With The NVIDIA RTX 4080 https://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-rx-7900-xtx-rx-7900-xt-3dmark-gpu-benchmarks-leak-trade-blows-with-nvidia-rtx-4080/ AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX/XT reviews go live on December 12th, a day before launch videocardz.com The RDNA3 review embargo date has been confirmed. The awful news with AMDs new 7900 Radeon cards... They have just legitimated a higher price point for xx80 SKUs. Nvidia isnt the only one to blame for this new price point. AMD is equal disgusting. What a price hike for low tier high end perfomance. From $700 up to $1000. What a awful times for gamers. First the crazy mining race with Ampere series graphics, now increased MSRP from all graphics cards manufacturers on next gen graphics cards. This smells more like an agreement between the two big to increase profits. Offer xx80 performance and put MSRP at $1000 is awful. AMD don't want to compete as it seems now. All they want is to increase profits. Just look at the performance graph.... Sub/equal xx80 performance at $1000 is the greedy mans work. So today's question will be... Is there a reason to release a 4090 Ti FE at +-2000$ that will completely destroy AIB partners sales of custom 4090? AMD have nothing to compete with in high end, so maybe Nvidia will throw it out when AMDs shuffle out the refresh of the 7900 Radeon cards (7950XTX)? Or just release it middle spring 2023 put the price point around $2499 to grab the spenders? I fixed it for you 🙂 -

I expect the main difference is higher ABT and 1 and two cores Thermal Velocity boost for the KS. An easy explanation here... All core turbo is the same as showed in pict above (same for K and KS) The highest boost clocks determines from thermal headroom and power budget. The teori is that TVB should work up to 70C. Above this temp threshold and the max boost will sink one bin. The higher ABT for the KS chips is probably the reason the KS score higher in Multi threaded performance. But Geekbench is an weird benchmarks, so we need to see CBR20/23 (all cores load) to have a final results. ------------------------------------------------ NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 drops to £1099 in UK, £100 below current MSRP videocardz.com A limited offer or a sign of the incoming price cut? I would be damn angry if I paid MSRP for 4080 and nvidia reduce it for new customers. The 4080 was priced wrong from the beginning and the guinea pig gamers paid the ultimate price. Maybe the screwed one should send a nice Christmas card to Jensen this year🙂 -

Which means 5.8GHz on all P-cores due Thermal Velocity Boost. With not the best cooling and this clock speed will drop down to 13900K all core (P-cores) boost. Intel binned the P-cores but forgot their Ugly child (E-cores). Isn't that cute?😀 The baby cores can't use the TVB tech so. Thermal Velocity Boost was Intel's gods saviour for BGA junk. Intel capped the added boost clock at 55C for first gen 6 cores mobile HK processors. Thermal Velocity Boost is mostly for burst load. Fast up and fast down. Crappy laptop cooling couldn't handle it any different. Intel continued make it better for desktop processors. Aka more cores could utilize this tech. -

Nope: I usually buy a few cheaper older cards to have fun with. Never on the latest and greatest for graphics cards. And scalpers and miners made it easier for me the last 2-3 years. I will never pay more than the already high "scalping" price from retail shops (the more normal scalping price). The 4090 Suprime X Liquid would be around $1880 without the Norwegian taxes. This is about to expect as normal prices from AIB partners custom cards. So not very mutch over what you have to pay in other countries. I think Asus want nearer $2000 for their Strix OC cards at MSRP. This in U:S I think. In short.. 4090 FE is $1599 MSRP. So pay sub $200 extra for a custom cards is to be expected. Edit. The problem is that Nvidia want so damn much for the 4090 Fe. And the AIC partners has to put a premium on top for the better bin and custom cards. The partners just can't sell at the same price point as Nvidia. Bigger cooling and bling bling factor is as expected to inflate the prices over MSRP. So the main problem is and will be Nvidia. Lets say the 4090 Fe was priced at edible $1300. I doubt the AIC parners would sell the custom cards at near $2000. They are greedy as well but I don't think they would add 50% premium on top. Edit. MSI was so kind that they sent with a cheapo mouse pad. Why bother? I will continue use my 20 years old Func 1030 Surface mouse pad. Yep, 20 years old, LOOL Btw. Is this meant as a Joke? 4 screws and 4 thin metal washers for dual radiator. How much did they save on a $2000 card ? This reminds me all too much about Dell Alienware and their TRIPOD heatsink fiasco. Less screws = saved costs. Disgusting. Edit. Retarded! Kitguru already mentioned this stupidity here... We discuss the ‘screw' situation in detail in the video, but it's worth highlighting a couple of strange design choices that MSI made. The first is the inclusion of just four shorter screws which would secure the radiator to your case. This is obviously just half the number of screw holes in the radiator itself, and while it would probably be secure enough with just four screws, is that really a risk you'd want to take with a £2000 RTX 4090? It just seems bonkers to me to only include half the number of screws when the cost would be pennies. -

Me, looking for new cards last week and until yesterday.... Almost none of the 4090's and a flood of 4080's. And at awful prices for a card that should cost around 900$ included tax here home in tax hell. Yep, Norway is more expensive than EU and the cheaper U.S. Forgot to tell. I talked with my wife the day before about looking for a new card. I brought it up this spring with her... I skrapped the idea go with 3090 (Ti) because of soon EOL status. Why buy a 3090 in May when you know new cards was out in the fall? Ok I went in bed.... Late as usual. My wife was earlier up. She kkow wht card I looked on. I woke up, checked mail and internet. In my inbox... Confirmed order on the MSI card 🙂 Yep, she wasn't home. The day she bought the card without I know it... Dec 7. This date is the date we become a couple. 32 years ago. 7th Dec 1990🙂 What a nice wife 🙂 And the price for the Suprime X isn't final. I was so lucky I could find the BeQuiet! 12VHPWR PCI-E ADAPTER CABLE in the webshop here home. Whooping 39.40 United States Dollar or over 2.5 the price you have to pay in U.S on Newegg. Isn't that disgusting? Nvidia could have keept the 8 pin contacts. Or (just put with a gift card in all boxes with GPU chips, that will help cover the costs - 20$ should be sufficient). I would gladly pay the rest. Edit. Is this meant as a Joke for the U.S citizens? This is awful if correct and 800$ more than here home with all added taxes. Yep, some say we also have four seasons here as well. But for me... I'll say its only two... Green and White winter😀 May is the last spring month, and here I walk in snow at this month. So for me the Winter will be changed with the summer and rain. Snow is as you know. Frozen water, LOOL I can understand you want to be near forest/montains. When I was a kid and up to 23 I lived in a city. Since then I moved to the country side with house, dog, fam and Volvo. Very clean air. And I can walk out from my home around 100m away and I'm in the forest. Nearest small lake is 250 m from the house. Btw. The loads of snow will now be swapped to 20 minus. My next bet... Rain. The weather comes in all colors here home. Nothing will last very long before the weather change agin. Some sai the climat is in change. This,,, Depends where you live. Not so much here in North. Maybe more rain. But rain will become snow when temps go below zero. So snow and rain it will be. With a touch of the normal winter storms. And thanks bro Rage 🙂 LOOL From what I know. Suprim X Liquid is only 530W board power. I mean there are some that cross flashed 600W Strix OC vbios. Regarding keeping the AIO or go custom water for the card. The custom block will be well over 400$. Have a lot of other things to spend my money on right no. So we'll see. But the stock AIO it will be for now. -

They will cut down what I can take with me over the border.... Norwegian Special. Still waiting for new tobacco rules: - Preparing for and running out In short... The tobacco quota in the state budget The proposal in the state budget is to halve the tobacco quota from 250 grams to 125 grams, and cigarettes from 200 to 100. While today, for example, you can buy 15 boxes of snuff (16 grams each), the Støre government's bill means that from next year it will only be allowed to take seven and a half boxes with you. The rules will not apply to anyone other than Norwegians living in Norway. Tourists will still be able to bring the current quota – 200 cigarettes or 250 grams of tobacco – into the country. And Norway is flooded with money, gas ad oil. But the people have hard time live here. The government hate us. Thanks. There is only a few model I wanted. Strix and MSI Suprime X with or with out Liquid. And the Suprim is cheaper than Asus Strix. Asus is disgusting! And the boat card (Zotac) The trash card @johnksss😀 Not my wording. Is 8% more expensive than MSI Suprim X Liquid. So MSI it become. I have had hands on MSI cards before... Not really my brand. Only The LIghtning cards was of interest from this brand. I hate brutal winters. We have it every damn year here home.... Wind, snow, cold, rain, and hail storms that come one after the other. Ice cold, then snow then rain. Or opposite way. This from November and into middle May. + the dreaded dark here North last many moths. Rest of the year... Green winter. Not great place living for my broken health. -

Alienware Aurora R15 offered with 13th generation Intel Core and GeForce RTX 4090 By Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 12/06/2022 09:45 AM | 6 comment(s) ] Dell has introduced the New Alienware Aurora R15 gaming PC, which is compatible with the 13th generation Intel Core processor and GeForce RTX 4090. CPU performance has increased by up to 68% by supporting the 13th generation Intel Core processors. The CPU temperature is stated to be 5 degrees Celsius lower by supporting a 240mm radiator for cooling. Furthermore, a 12-phase power circuit with a heat sink and a new enclosure with improved ventilation improve stability. Less castrated vs previous gen chassis and cooling means Dell can eak out a bit higher performance numbers than expected for 13th gen Cpu. Isn't that incredible?😇 -

We have had big performance jumps before on xx80 Skus. But not +70% price increase. Mostly 10-15% up from previous gen or even flat. 4080 is a bad value. Very bad value. Take a look on pricing for xx80 and even older x80. If people think a big performance uplift can defend this scalping maybe they then deserve it. For the records. Also 4090 is bad value. I will conclude when I hear both fans (Alphacool vs Noctua). But from the correct one from mentioned brand. Not these ugly fans with Bling bling cables. These server fans have different shapes on the blades. And I know how server fans sounds as😀 If I didn't bother with design, shape and sound I would go with Delta fans. More powerful and a lot more noisy. + a lot more expensive. But Alphacool and Aquatuning have to fix up their own disgusting mess. I don't accept getting parts I have never asked for.
