  1. From the article.... You might not know this, but it's possible to run more than one power supply on a single computer. The reasons for doing it can range from redundancy, where you can't afford a power failure under any circumstances, to increased power, where a single power supply just isn't enough. Consequently, you'll find such setups only in professional workstations, servers, or mining rigs. Me run dual PSU due easier cable routing and that I don't need swap out and in the new modern fragile junk-connectors (4090 Hof use two trash connectors) for benching my other graphics cards cards. And I can connect whatever extra hardware I want in my black box. Loads of fans and several pumps.... No problems. And remember the 5v line for peripherals is capped with low max Amp on most PSU's. Even the high end one's. My main PSU (Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 12 - 1500 Watt) ain't weak at all and have a lot of power connectors on the psu panel but not enough for my needs. There is still a market for more than what the average gamer boy/computer Joe want or need. But some can't see the light....... If you heavly castrate the chips as default... You'll get higher OC headroom😎 Pure physics bro @jaybee83
  2. And X3D parts will cost more. AMD need something when Arrow lake is out.
  3. My take on this.... AMD used inferior silicon for 9700X. And probably also for 9900X. Hence they reduced TDP to keep up the stability throughout it's lifespan for those chips. There is not a single reason they needed castrate it out of the box like this. But they did it for a reason. I don't trust them if they said it was for power efficiency. Run PBO and they run at double the power consumption. I trust AMD equal much as with Intel. They know more than what they want to tell their customers about their own products. You just can't trust them. Only stupids do that.
  4. Mheee.... AMD offer now the same as Intel did with Skylake. +++++++ And stability.... You like start your testing/review with BSOD on your new toy's? This is an rushed launch. And this even after AMD's delayed launch of Zen5 to fix it. Yup, newer has to be better.... Mheee. No thanks.
  5. Exactly the same as they did with the newly launched re-hashed 5000 series chips. Dubbed XT.
  6. Nice. Now you can clearly see why AMD changed the pricing policy for 9000 series Ryzen Zen5. If the Ryzen chips downclock to base clock in heavy load/or thermal throttle it will run slower than their 2 years old Zen4 chips. This even with the 16% IPC improvement. That's an improvement? Newer has to be better bro @ryan 3.8x1.16 = 4.4GHz. Their 2 year old chips run base clock at 4.5GHz.
  7. LOOL. Fanboys is weird animals😁 And the one down here.... He know the fully truth why AMD withdraw 9000 series processors. How can he be so sure bro @Mr. Fox? Because he is an fanboy? And he also say... Some companies is very trustworthy... Hmmm.
  8. Maybe the gamerboys can spend $50 more on better motherboards now as AMD have lowered the prices for coming Ryzen 9000 chips. Not as cheap as some hoped for but $40-50 USD will help people to buy better motherboards. Rejoice! AMD’s Ryzen 9000 CPUs are cheaper than last generation AMD confirmed today that prices for its next-gen Ryzen 9000 desktop processors, previously leaked by Best Buy, are accurate. Surprisingly, these prices represent a decrease relative to the prior generation. An official X/Twitter post says that the Ryzen 7 9700X will be priced at $359 (down $40 from its previous Ryzen 7 7700X) and the Ryzen 5 9600X will be priced at $279 (down $20 from its previous Ryzen 5 7600X). They’re hitting the streets August 8. Following a week later on August 15th will be the Ryzen 9 9950X, $649, and the Ryzen 7 9900X, $499. Those are cheaper than their 7000-series models by $50 each. While not as low as the initial Best Buy leak, the discount should be much appreciated by system builders. This is also good news for those of us that will go with next gen Intel chips this fall/winter. I wonder if AMD know something about next gen Intel that we don't know. This is the only reason AMD will reduce prices from what I know of. They don't do this for goodness. Just see what AMD did with the pricing of their first gen 16 core 5950X ($799) due Intel was late to the party with more cores. And regarding the lower end Ryzen 9000 series as etc 7900X.... Me think AMD reduced the TDP from 170W down to 120W was due they will offer "defective" silicon. And AMD re-called all Zen5 chips due their inferior silicon binning. Say "not meeting their quality standard" is just hiding the real problem. Aka trash binning. Jup, AMD have learned their lesson from Intel's stability problems due trash binning. Saved by the gong gong. Or by Intel. AMD hitting the stop button on 9000 series launch...
  9. The tech world is flooded with bad idea's. Maybe it's time to get rid of stupid/dumb CEO's that can't see the light? @Mr. Fox Where do they find those damn stupid idiots? Impossible to find smart enough people to lead their companies in the right direction? Hmmm, food for thoughts. Logitech: 'Forever mouse' was just a (bad) idea Logitech has backed off its idea of a "forever mouse" that would be built around a subscription.
  10. People still forget this. Higher power consumption the hotter the Cpu run. And the more voltage you need to feed.

  12. Google Created an Illegal Monopoly in Search, Judge Rules Pcmag.com Google created an illegal “monopoly” by paying partners to make its search engine the default on today’s smartphones and mobile browsers, a federal judge ruled today. “Google is a monopolist, and it has acted as one to maintain its monopoly. It has violated Section 2 of the Sherman Act,” wrote Judge Amit Mehta in a 277-page ruling. Google is sentenced for illegal monopoly today 11:00 US court has determined that Google's search business is a monopoly. No penalty has been imposed, but Google plans to appeal. The legal process, which started in December 2020 , has been long, but the verdict has now landed: Google's search and advertising operations are an illegal monopoly. Google plans to appeal, but if the appeal is unsuccessful, Google's search business is now officially condemned as an illegal monopoly.

Newer is always better, LOOL Steam Survey July 2024 Update: Windows 10 Usage Records Uptick, Windows 11 Drops Techpowerup.com | Yesterday Interesting things are happening in the gaming community, as Windows 10 operating system has seen an increase in its user base on the Steam platform, while Windows 11 has dipped below the 46% mark for the first time since its launch. According to the latest July data from Steam's hardware and software survey, Windows 10's share rose to 47.69%, marking a significant uptick that contrasts with Windows 11's decline to 45.73%. This trend highlights a growing preference among gamers for the older operating system, which is often praised for its stability and compatibility with a wide range of games and hardware. Many users have expressed concerns over Windows 11's performance and its stringent hardware requirements, which have made it less accessible for some gamers, especially those without the TPM 2.0-enhanced system. The shift in user demographics is particularly interesting given that Windows 11 was designed with gaming enhancements in mind, including features like DirectStorage and Auto HDR. However, the adoption rate appears to be hampered by issues related to compatibility and performance, leading many gamers to stick with the more familiar and reliable Windows 10. This trend could prompt Microsoft to reevaluate its approach to Windows 11, particularly in terms of addressing user concerns and enhancing compatibility with existing hardware. Other OSes are seeing stagnation, especially with Linux-based distributions recording zero change. Apple's OSX stands at 1.37%, a +0.06% increase from last month.
  17. Expect unexpected firmware updates for your Intel powered Pc forwards. Because Microsoft do whatever they want. Microsoft will gladly help their partners to screw up your PC or render it bricked. Because they are damn good at this. And no one can do nothing about it. Because you all have accepted their EULA. Microsoft can't be accountable for their partners firmware, software and driver bugs. They just push it quietly on your PC. Same as with their own patches. Good luck to you all. So....... 19. Here's somewhat good news. You all will get 5 years warranty (extended from 3 to 5 years or 3 years for the KS) from Intel for your boxed 13th and 14th gen processors (I only buy boxed Cpu's here home). Intel is forced to do so. Or they risk a lot more than what they experience right now. So slightly good news for you all that prefer running the 2 cores boost at sky-high voltage. This will also help if you later will sell your Cpu in the used market. Intel announces an extra two years of warranty for its chips amid crashing and instability issues — longer warranty applies to 13th- and 14th-Gen Core processors Intel trying to build goodwill. Intel Via Oxidation Statement The issue was identified in late 2022, and with the manufacturing improvements and additional screens implemented Intel was able to confirm full removal of impacted processors in our supply chain by early 2024. However, on-shelf inventory may have persisted into early 2024 as a result. Why in Hell not re call them right after their findings? They know very what batches was affected. Why use over 1.5 year to clean up their supply chain? They tried hide it under the bush because this would certainly hurt their reputation. Such move will always hit back. And they pay for it now. Additional info from Anandtech. One important thing to note, however, is that the extended warranty will only apply to boxed processors, i.e. Intel’s official retail chips. Intel’s loose chips that are sold by the tray to OEMs and certain distributors – commonly referred to as “tray” processors – are not covered by the extended warranty. While Raptor Lake tray processors do technically come with a three-year warranty of their own, Intel does not provide direct, end-user warranty service for these chips. Instead, those warranties are serviced by the OEM or distributor that sold the chip. With the bulk of Intel’s chips going to OEMs and other professional system builders, Intel will undoubtedly need to settle things with those groups, as well. But with OEM dealings typically remaining behind closed doors, it’s unlikely we’ll hear about just what is agreed there. Loads of new complaints everyday on the internet forwards will undoubtedly hurt some of Intel's reputation. This RMA mess will pop up on all sorts of forum and tech press the next 2-3 years. Hope Intel soon will see the paint on the wall. Not all publicity about Intel's products is good publicity weeks after weeks forwards. The RMA drama begins.... 21. Also AMD failed with binning/QC problems. But will AMD tell their customers why they asked for a recall of all Zen5 chips? Probably not. Yup, if it wasn't for all Intel problems we would see trash binned Ryzen flagship out there now. So as I said before.... Saved by Intel😁 Intel should have done the same. Only top binned chips should be binned for i9's. And only the best 3% chips should be binned as KS. If they can't meet demand then honestly say it (consumers will understand) and don't do stupid tihings as binning i7's as i9's to increase profits. From bad to worse... Maybe it's time to get rid of the CEO and baby-cores? Intel reminds me more about a sinking ship. Hey Logitech, every mouse should be a forever mouse A product that you pay for should be supported, period, without the need for an ongoing payment. All Logitech’s talk does is annoy people who have no desire for another subscription in the first place. And for anyone else considering the same strategy: I’d rather buy from your competition than deal with paying yet another monthly service charge. I suspect I’m not alone.
  22. The latest from the techno industry: Mouse rental. Yep, this is disgusting. And worse it will be. Maybe because of stupid consumers that accept it. They will accept everything thats new/more modern. And the chiefs in tech companies know their audience. They know very well that a big part of their consumer base is damn stupid. If you buy an new ssd, then you'll have to pay a subscription to be allowed to store your data on it? Hmmm. My good old logitech mouse and KB will be the last one I get from Logitech if they go the subscription route forwards. Then goodbye. Now it's up to the rest of consumers. Newegg launches CPU trade-in program with low payouts — $300 for a Core i9-14900K or $220 for a Ryzen 7 7800X3D The perfect timing. Right before AMD launch their next gen Ryzen and with Intel flooded with problems. But the trade-in program is an very bad idea whatever you go with Intel or AMD. Equal tasteless as Neweggs GPU trading program. If you're sold on Newegg's trade-in program and want even less money back for your tech, you could trade in an entire PC for a maximum of $400. Until August 11th, Intel is sponsoring a PC Trade-In deal allowing you to trade in a desktop, laptop, or tablet for up to $400 off the purchase of a new 14th-gen computer.
  23. I wonder how it would go if you could rent processors from Intel. Maybe you could get their best binned Cpu's ? Return it to sender if it's trash (has to be within their best 2% best binned chips or back it goes). The tech trend continue rolling. Anyone want Subscription-based hardware? It's difficult seeing many computer users buying into this monetization model. Faber is more confident about this being the future of mice after visiting the company’s innovation center in Ireland. There, she says one of the team members showed her a concept of the “forever mouse” and described it as “a little heavier, it had great software and services that you’d constantly update, and it was beautiful.” The mouse is compared with a nice watch that isn’t just thrown away, such as a Rolex.
