  1. Not sure. I'm not very interested in this. But it seems Intel is working with Microsoft so, who knows. They better have something to offer to try lure people over from Windows 10 and old hardware when the old OS goes EOL in October. They both will use all the tricks in the book to push people over on Copilot+.
  2. Do they need that when they will offer Microsoft Copilot+ certification for desktops?😅 Thus meeting the minimum requirement of 40 TOPS to have the PC Copilot + certification. This will be an advantage, at the marketing level, compared to AMD solutions. Maybe it's time for Fox to leave AMD now and start enjoy Copilot+? Yup, Fox is not a gamer, so maybe Copilot+ will become his new hobby.
  3. Intel will offer an huge upgradefor Arrow lake refresh. Finally you can get the Microsoft Copilot+ certification. Isn't that great? On top you get an Skylake similar performance boost for the processing power. Maybe 100 or even 200Mhz bump in clock speed. Exactly as in the good old days with Intel and Skylake ++++++. Intel Arrow Lake Refresh CPUs will offer increased frequencies and a new AI NPU.
  4. If he blow the PSU and it takes the GPU he could buy the new E-waste from Nvidia as replacement for time being😀 Only $250 if he don't go stupid and pay close to $300 for the top sku from Asus.
  5. And gooogle ain't much better.... Google Chrome now checks if your PC can upgrade to Windows 11 Google Chrome is preparing for the end of Windows 10 support.
  6. You have still some headroom🙂 LianLi offer OCP ar 122%. With 1611W from the wall and efficiency at 90% the power draw is around 1450W. 1450/1200 = 120% so within the OCP triggering points. The 12V rail’s OCP triggering points are conservatively set, but this is not the case for the minor rails, where the corresponding OCP triggering points are set pretty high. The Over Power Protection is set below 130% at normal temperatures and notably lower at high temperatures. https://hwbusters.com/psus/lian-li-eg1200g-atx-v3-1-psu-review/8/ You mean a possible RMA request?😀 You normally do that after the big bang. Not before, LOL
  7. Remember the 5090 is a lot bigger. Easier to cool. With China ban on 5090D performance then expect that Nvidia won't come up with an 6090 with the first. We may have to wait at least 2.5 years before new generation graphics cards pop up. Just milk with what you have. And if AMD come up with a flagship card then just release a big fat boy with dual 12v-2*6 and 700-800w power target.
  8. OCCT software should be able to max out the power from the GPU. Higher voltage the better😁 Only for the very few chosen ones... 5090D (HOF) is banned from sale due the US chips ban, yet this is the GPU they promote the brands products. Even Nvidia should be happy. Almost as free advertising for nvidia and the AIB partner. Just give them a couple of top binned parts, special XOC firmware and XOC tool kit and there you go. No, you can’t do this at home. Not because it’s not recommended or we don’t believe in your overclocking skills. It’s because achieving similar results requires NVIDIA’s support through a special XOC (Extreme OC) BIOS, which is only provided to select overclockers. It would also require a very specic graphics card and exotic cooling. You only need to make 5 cards with all the bells and whistles. Yep, only for the very few chosen ones. Overclockers push RTX 5090D with dual 16-pin connectors and XOC BIOS to 3650 MHz
  9. One more reason thermal putty on vram is an bad idea.
  10. There will still be trade between US and China. But China's own population will buy more and more own home made products. Same as with US. They prefer have production for what they need by themself. If they can't, they'll always find ways around the problems. China: Sales of foreign smartphone manufacturers fell by 9.7%. Bad news for all foreign smartphone manufacturers in China, as they are experiencing a significant drop in sales. But I really hope they stop with this below. But greed is common and greed make you do wrong decisions....
  11. Hmmm. I mean he should have tested with 5000 series cards as the 5090. They perform slight different vs 4000 series in some benchmarks with RBar enabled/disabled. Both wrong and both right🙂
  12. A minor start. But this should have been done on day one when they issued the ban. All too late. US reportedly plans to curb sales of AI GPUs to Malaysia and Thailand to prevent smuggling to China The sad truth about AMD's latest gen graphics cards... This is just embarrassing. Greed over common sense (Wrongly priced and not offer enough cards and in several SKUs). Yep, yet again have F. Azor failed hard as AMD's Chief Director of Gaming Solutions. RTX 5090 more popular than all RX 9000s on Steam!
  13. Those that make the Linux distros have a huge opportunity to get bigger userbase.. They need to fix it. This has to be first priority over making more pretty GUI. Windows 11 is becoming synonymous with Copilot+ PCs, while Linux is now a real threat Interestingly, a group called End of 10 has been pushing for users to transition to Linux as Windows 10's end-of-life approaches. Its campaign encourages Windows 10 users to ditch the Windows ecosystem entirely and switch to Linux with their outdated devices. The small group is using a lack of ads and telemetry tracking as the key selling points to get users to make the transition.
  14. And be you sure. Nvidia know it. Why produce more parts for cards that no one will buy? Just cut the production. The production capacity can be used for more profitable products than "cheap" 5090's. Yup. And when empty what then? Why should nvidia produce even more 5090s when they can use the wafers other places? Just produce after demand. Shipping takes time, and maybe Nvidia has produced what they can deliver to come ahead of the tariff hell "if it happens". Afterwards... Nobody really knows. But Nvidia is known for making money. Not for welfare. On the flip side.... For all my US friends. Have a happy 4th of July "tomorrow". Already 4th here home🙂
  15. Yup, it seems July is the month you see the bottom of the prices. Then they will creep upwards. From 14:15
  16. We may see a change once the EOL date have passed in Oct. And new pc's (prebuilt junk/Jokebooks and tablets) still flood the market. And I guess all of them have Windows 11 installed. Of course Win 11 will take over the marketshare.
  17. Right in time before prices start stabilizes at bottom and may go creep upwards again. And I expect Nvidia will prioritize 5090D v2 for China. 24GB vram cards for 5090 prices for China at +$2000 is also a huge win. And only god knows how many real 5090 will be smuggled into China when the people see they being scammed by Nvidia with the v2. 24GB vram cards for $2000 is hard to swallow. The Blackwell gen cards will stay here yet another two years, so.... Keep track of inventory of "cheap" gamer cards to maximize profits is damn important task. NVIDIA is also preparing for a new AI accelerator for China as well, that would be a Blackwell-based GDDR7 solution, so the focus will be shifted towards this market segment. These SKUs paired with the dumbed down 5090 will keep the wheels running busy at the factories. Also 3GB memory chips will surely fly off the shelves for premium/inflated prices once China has figured out how to make them work with 5090's. NVIDIA Rumored To Slash GeForce RTX 50 Production To Prioritize AI Chips NVIDIA has been busy with its AI chips in a world with rapidly increasing demand, to quench the thirst of heavily invested tech corporations. And as such, it may further reduce GeForce RTX 50 series GPU production to focus even more on its more profitable data center products. How much of a reduction are we talking about? As spotted on Gazlog/Chiphell by WCCFTECH, its said total inventory levels may decrease by as much as 30%, which can mean higher prices are likely here to stay for the foreseeable future. Assuming the report is accurate, of course. From greed to managing the world of technology... The US administration (government) sold their soul for rare earth metals. I hope this is wrong and not correct. US lifts China's export ban on chip designs: They need its rare earths This has an immediate impact . Through software, Chinese companies can restart stalled projects , improve existing designs, and plan new chips competitively.
  18. Maybe the prices for RTX 5050 should be lowered as well. Asus want wopping $289 for their best custom 5050 card. Of course Nvidia didn't want a review of these graphics cards. At least the brand new 5050 can beat the old RTX 3060 released 4.5 years ago. That's something, Huhhh. The New Game Changer is up in tests.... After another review-less launch, the first RTX 5050 benchmarks are here — Nvidia's budget card loses to B580 and RTX 4060, with only multi frame generation to give it a boost
  19. LOL Now Microsoft has completely screwed up: Destroying Alt+Tab in new update Skip the optional update KB5060829 if you use the keyboard shortcut frequently. Microsoft admits issues in Windows 11 June 2025 Update with Print to PDF
  20. 🤐🙄 🤔 Yup, for US. Not here. Maybe the tariff war force people re-think what they buy. At least they can return it within the return window. Edit. Not great time spend a lots of money you don't have. Damn sad see the direction it heads... I have seen the middle class in US will get 1% lower taxes from the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’. Some even less. But above $200.000 and you may get 4% less tax. The winners is as always the rich that don't need to return what they already bought. +10% tariffs and increased inflation from it on top of that are hard to bear/swallow. 1-3% less tax won't help much to lower the pain. The best pain-killer is as always to return what you shouldn't buy in first place. And hope you get back your money.
  21. This is status while Nvidia still struggle fix weird bugs with loads of hotfix drivers patching previous hot fix drivers released a week before for their latest and greatest released a half year ago. On top nvidia haven't much time for previous gen graphics cards as 2000/3000/4000 series due all their problems with latest gen 5000 series cards. Yep, this while AMD now put more resources on improving performance for Radeon cards. Once Nvidia is out with the Super cards (refresh to make more money) then expect new rounds with WHQL drivers neeeding loads of hotfix drivers making havoc in their whole GPU stack. Often with week between them being released. AMD’s Latest Drivers Improve Radeon RX 9070 XT’s Performance By Up To 27%; GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Is Now Slower Overall....
  22. The real reason Intel headed into graphics cards... They wanted their share from the AI market. Jul 01, 13:42 Intel confirms Arc Battlemage GPUs will expand into Edge/AI market in Q4
  23. Hmm. Wire gauge become thincker the lower numbers. 12V-HPWR cables use 16 gauge. Exactly same gauge as older 8-pin cables from an quality PSU. But the pitch is different vs the good 8-pins connectors. Hence the old 8-pin connectors can run colder. Aka more space beween the pins. The damn 12+4 pin connector is alll too small and tiny. Should have been double the size. And with more space between the pins. This way they could use thicker pins with more spacing in between in the terminals and thicker wires as etc 14 gauge copper wires for the cable. 6x12V power pins is enough if you make the connector properly from the beginning. But now it's too late make a real major change for the tiny trash 😞 The term "pitch" typically refers to the distance between pins in a connector, like a 2.54mm pitch in a DuPont connector. The 12V-2x6 doesn't have a standard pin pitch. The pitch of the 12V-2x6 connector, also known as the 12VHPWR connector, refers to the distance between the center of one pin to the center of the next pin. Edit. From Jonny Guru... In reality, those 8-pin connectors can handle more current because you have 4.2mm pitch terminals vs. 3.0 pitch and they're spread out more which helps dissipate heat. This is nice. When you feel you got an amazing deal paying MSRP🥴 RTX 5000 graphics cards get deep discounts at Newegg — RTX 5070, 5060 Ti, and 5060 all fall to low prices ahead of Prime Day
  24. Nvidia open up for an possible 5080Ti/5090DD. Because the 5080 refresh as the Super is only a minor upgrade. So virtually no performance improvements. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 SUPER: An RTX 5080 with more memory The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 SUPER is primarily a disappointment because it doesn't close any performance gaps with the GeForce RTX 5090. According to well-known leaker kopite7kimi . We are looking at the same graphics chip as the RTX 5080, we are talking about the NVIDIA GB203 , although in its GB203-350-A1 version. The biggest problem is that it offers the same configuration of 10,752 CUDA Cores , 336 Tensor Cores and 84 RT Cores. That is, there is no improvement. The only real upgrade this gen from Nvidia is the 5070 Super... More vram and a small upgrade for cuda cores. But welcomen when you see the other Super SKUs useless upgrades. The GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER is said to come with only 6,400 CUDA Cores and… 18GB of VRAM. According to well-known leaker kopite7kimi , the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER will arrive with the NVIDIA GB205-400-A1 graphics chip . This chip will offer a 6,400 CUDA Cores configuration , which is only 256 more CUDA Cores than the GeForce RTX 5070.
  25. Windows 12 probably won't be coming out for another year, as Windows 11 version 25H2 announced https://www.tweaktown.com/news/106103/windows-12-probably-wont-be-coming-out-for-another-year-as-11-version-25h2-announced/index.html Windows loses 400 million users in just 3 years and at this rate it will no longer exist in a decade.
