They also follow AMD footsteps regarding latency.... Intel’s decision to split the memory controller and PHY into their own tile (I/O tile) was to improve yields, but this creates memory latency issues that contribute to the lower gaming performance. Intel does offer the option to overclock the tile-to-tile interface, but we’ll have to see how that plays out in real-world testing. -

At least you can expect better gaming performance. Worse with Intel's new processors. The failure is complete and confirmed. On par and sometimes with lower gaming performance than previous gen Core processors. New is always better bro @ryan. Intel......... Fantastic progress. One Giant leap forwards backwards. One Giant Leap in gaming performance pr watt. Is this a Joke? What next? Maybe 300 series will run even more power efficient and offer same performance as Intel Cpu's from 2023 ? And why compare with old 7000 series AMD Ryzen? Intel Launches Arrow Lake Core Ultra 200S — big gains in productivity and power efficiency, but not in gaming Exacly what modern gamers wanted. Maybe they now can use their fancy low Z-high tower coolers intended for Non K chips? -

From 13:10 Nvidia Confirms RTX 50 Release | Arrow Lake Gaming Benchmarks And from 10:10 Opened up the MSI 770 Lightning. As expected, 11 year old rock-hard thermal paste. Never been opened so this is real old paste from the factory. They don't use such thermal paste nowadays for new and modern. The new and modern get the cheapest you can get that last maybe a few months. Not +10 years as this old lady have run🙂 -

This is the performance that matters in end of 2024/25. Single threaded performance. Why all the talk about multi core performance? It seems no one need it. Or do they? Remember there are several benchmarks now on the bot that cater to single threded performance. Modern computer users want smartphone power efficiency nowadays. Hence we now have smartphone cores packed into desktop processors. It's what it is. Update: A new slide shared by Wnxod shows Core Ultra 9 285K compared to Ryzen 9 9950X in four benchmarks. It claims that Intel has 8% geometric increase over last-gen series in single-threaded applications and 4% advantage over Ryzen 9 9950X. See... Intel beat AMD🥴 And you probably don't need good cooling anymore. Isn't that a win for Intel? See also... This Nice seeing engineers as Aris at Cybenetics say the same as I have said from the beginning.... 12VHPWR/12V-2x6 power connector on the PSU panel is stupid. Rather go back to add loads of 8-pin connectors on the PSU. And stop making things worse than it has to be with this stupid designed power connector on the PSU side. -

In reality it could be worse? Nice. The final Vmin Shift Instability issue fix come right in time before Arrow Lake release date. I wonder if the fix was able to narrow the performance gap bethween Arrow Lake and the faster 14900K in games. Yup, I expect the performance figures in games showed in the Chinese slides from Intel bethween Core Ultra 9 285K and 14900K is done with an castrated 14900K running their latest fix. In short... The gaming results from Core Ultra 9 285K are even worse than what the slides show😀 But hey, what do I know. The single core Jockey's got exactly what they wanted. Power efficiency to try beat ARM and AMD in what's matter. Exactly where I see Intel right now.... Stupid is as stupid does. From reddit...🤢🤮🤢 ARL-S IPC (vs 13/14th) P Core +9% E Core +32% So Intel throwed away HT for better power efficiency and measly 9% IPC gains for the P-cores. And the so called better multi threaded performance will mostly come from improved Baby cores. Disgusting! -

Intel bashed AMD's offering as being a "glued-together" solution. And here we are today with brand new Intel Cpu's glued together with 5 dies but two of them is so called "dummy" dies🙄 So Intel take it to another level. Hmmm, how dumb can this be? Maybe sanding of the whole die tile mess will be the new most needed mod for consistent core to core temp delta. Intel will put their money where they can max out profits to please their shareholders. Aka full focus on mobile and server chips. Mainstream desktop chips can easly be made from silicon and arc meant for Trashtops. Mainstream destop processors is now shuffled into no-man's land. Looks like an fantastic chips for the single thread Jockey's. Intel can for the second time beat Apple in benchmarks that matters for tomorrows computer users. See... Nice it worked out for you🙂 Regarding the whining about high Idle power consumption... The modern gamers/consumers trusted all too much on our old friend, the good liar F. Azor You just can't trust any (car) sellers. Especially not the former Dell AW boss Mr. Azor😎 -

Looking very good. Say hello to the new old for the old man... MSI GTX770 Lightning. The card looks almost brand new. Not a scratch. Only some dust in the fin stack And the thermal paste has never been changed. Because the warranty sticker on the screw has not been touched. The card have been used until now aka 11 years before he switched over on a new card. The warranty sticker is clean and nice. And the GPU Reactor which is the older MSI Lightning's trademark looks pristine🙂 Now I have two old MSI Lightning cards for my GPU collection. The one in front in the box is the older GTX680 Lightning. They both are exactly the same cards with (same cooler, shroud, fans, GK104 die and PCB). No changes here from MSI. The only difference is the faster vram for the newer gen 700 series nvidia cards. Never change the cooler and the design if you don't need or have to @Mr. Fox Edit. Opposite to greedy Asus, Msi offer 5 heat pipes and secondary metal heatsink with pads that cools the memory chips for their best older cards. Asus went with wimpy 3 pipes and no cooling for the vram. Hmmm. Asus couldn't even offer you 2x8 pins for the 770 series. How much did they save going this cheapo? The greedy stinker... Asus MSI... -

And me who thought it was a more modern buttplug😁 @electrosoft Hmmm. This package I got in the mail looks big enough to contain some old graphics card. I bough it from the used market for cheap so it won't be any new expensive and modern🤩 And never drill holes in your house if you don't have fire in the cold. -

Easy-peasy. Because LGA desktop processors are in short Mobile silicon glued on PCBs for desktops. Unisex, you know. One fit all and you can reduce costs. @Mr. Fox Just can't get enough of seeing disgusting modern..... But here it is... How it goes if you pare disgusting🤮 The top part is the Mobile part. Intel locked that loophole for 13th and 14th gen. I mean you can only do sub 103 BCLK overclocking. -

Thanks🙂 But who knows... Maybe not the last one😁 But havne't seen much talk about the problem lately. Maybe most/many owners of 13t and 14th gen have undervolted and underclocked their CPU's trying to mitigate it themself. Even cripple it hard. Intel finds cause of overheating CPUs, provides another BIOS update Intel just identified a fourth cause for problematic 13th and 14th Gen CPUs. Get the BIOS update as soon as you can. -

Yup, we may see some gains from DDR5 CUDIMM memory kit when the Z990 refresh is out end of 2025. Also this time will the first gen (Z890 boards) be the guinea pig on Intel's new platform/socket LGA 1851. Nice, if the gains is minimal over older Raptor Lake Refresh. At least Intel can put the mess with this older gen chips behind. Big win for... Intel. And big Win for the Single thread boost Jockey's performing web browsing/light tasks on their brand new Intel platform. Single core thread performance is now King. -

Intel Core Ultra 5 245K is Faster Than Core i5-14600K But Wins Only By 4%. Fantastic for a sucessor. I hope this is just a Joke and not real. We'll see when the chips are out. But slight double of this or 10% performance gain would still be a massive failure. The more I see from this tragedy, the more I vomit. Maybe it's not good for my health, continue follow the new modern tech?🤔 Tested: Intel’s Lunar Lake wants you to forget Qualcomm laptops exist Great battery life, mediocre performance, surprisingly decent gaming: That's Intel's Lunar Lake chip. We think it’s important that you know the maximum performance potential of these laptop processors as well as how much performance is lost to keep your laptop up and running when unplugged. But you’ll also note that Intel’s older Meteor Lake (the 155H) outperforms its latest chip. What this tells me is that Intel is prioritizing battery life, not performance. Conclusion: Which laptop chip is better? Intel’s first Core Ultra, Meteor Lake, downplayed performance for long battery life; Lunar Lake takes that to the next level. This is next level of pure TRASH! Intel best where it matters nowadays for modern pc users. Maximum power efficiency at the cost of better performance. Why not just buy an thin cute and shiny Apple-Jokebook? Or just use your smartphone/tablet. -
Qualcomm buying Intel makes no sense because of AMD's ace in the hole Reports say Qualcomm wants to buy Intel's struggling chip business, but doing so would threaten the longstanding x86 patent licensing agreements between Intel and AMD. In short... Qualcomm buying Intel smells like a story intended to move financial markets more than an actual possibility.

Main problem. Mainstream desktop processors is mobile processors with slightly higher boost clocks (200MHz) and TDP. Not the opposite. This is the sad truth. Back to proper hardware. The new Seasonic Prime PSU looks great. With proper amount power connectors. Here you won't have any problems connect whatever you want. Seasonic Launches the New PRIME PX-2200 Power Supply Press Release by GFreeman Today, 10:15 Discuss (11 Comments) After a successful product introduction during Computex 2024, Sea Sonic is now launching the sales of the new PRIME PX-2200 power supply. The Seasonic PRIME Series represents Sea Sonic's pinnacle of engineering, blending cutting-edge design with premium materials and advanced production processes. The latest models showcase digital fan control, modern interleaved PFC (Power Factor Correction), and a patented dual-transformer design running in parallel. Nice. You have the chance to get rid of the 12+4 pin trash connector on the PSU side of the 12V-2x6 cables. And below is the new and more modern way to make trash for the consumers... Huge lack of power connectors although the PSU is an 1200W variant. All love is put into the stupid 12+4 connector for newest Nvidia cards. Sad seeing cost saving at all costs. Many graphics cards use 3x 8-pin. Even the newest Radeon cards from AMD. And newer motherboards use an extra 8 pin as well. And ther you go. A huge nope from me. Sharkoon Rebel P20 1200W ATX v3.1 power supply test: Yes, it can be cheapo and good Only a single 4-pin Molex connector is provided -

Is there an absolute need for +25 hours battery runtime for your work/gaming with portable laptops at the expense of better performance and let's say 12 hours before the need for charging? Then why not just buy an tablet instead if you are in need for really good battery runtime as +24 hours a day? No one run their lapjoke's 24/7/365 on battery for work or fun. For that you need an desktop or just plug it in the AC. They need to bring back performance. Not this, as you saw in my previous post.
