Exactly what to expect from new modern processors. Good power efficiency and better iGPU. All what counts for the modern computer user nowadays🤢🤮🤢 Intel Lunar Lake CPU benchmarks reveal good power efficiency and GPU performance — Core Ultra 7 268V results show regressions in multi-core performance -

Depends on what Cpu and Gpu you have. Modern unlocked Intel chips can pull 400W and GPUs up to +666 W as my 4090 HOF graphics card. Lower powered hardware can come away with "mediocre" or less performing thermal paste. But even those can get an advantage using better thermal paste/or better cooling combined with better thermal paste. @Vasudev could You please add in Thermalright TF8: 13.8 W/mK on first page. Thanks

And here you see MSI spend more money on the motherboard for Ryzen chips. 10 layers PCB and more power phases. The MEG Z890 Unify-X enthusiasts board looks as a cheapo compared. Hmmm. Is fewer PCB layers an advantage? I don't think so. Neither did Kingpin and EVGA. Cheaper to make. And boards as the >Z690 Apex had 8 layers PCB. And all know how that went. Asus added more PCB layers for the Z790 Apex boards. No backplate can replace a more expensive PCB. Here you can see MSI slap on the moniker "Ultra Low Loss" as an game changer. Hmmm. Why not just go even cheaper and make 6 layers boards for the OC enthusiasts? Hope it comes cheap to reflect the boards cost Sep 20, 20:45 MSI MEG Z890 UNIFY-X overclocking board for Core Ultra 200K series has been leaked -

Hmmm. Same behavious on most tested bios versions? Bugged firmware is common. As well check if there is an firmware update for that Asus monitor. It's Asus as you know. -
Does higher numbers means better? 🤐

Here's part 2 of BulldoZen5 and latest abortion from Redmond. New is always better. Is this a symptom of what today's modern tech has become? @Mr. Fox @ryan See from 10:27

Summary and conclusion Actually, I could have spent the weekend more usefully, but when questions come from the community about products and follow-up tests, then of course that has a certain priority for me. Since two out of three samples from 2024 delivered better test values and are more similar to the sample from 2023, I naturally adjusted the Noctua NT-H2 values in the database. However, even after all these tests, I still stand by the fact that the NT-H2 is a rather mediocre product that has seen better days, even if the follow-up measurements turned out a little better. And the next big in the overclocking world is the "high hangin" single thread performance crown. And I expect Arrow Lake without any HT (dead) will rumble in that type benchmark battle. AMD Ryzen 7 9700X Takes On 7.1GHz Core i9-14900K In Single-Threaded Benchmark Battle Intel Thermal Velocity boost and AMD's Precision Boost Overdrive is what the modern gamers will take max advantage of for this type oc'ing single core race. -
Yup. Typical Pcworld links. You need searc around their links. So shady business.

And here is the fun facts. Nvidia hate cheapo gamers. Now you need buy more expensive OC cards to have the same performance as the released vanilla 4070. Once again gamers have to pay extra due the AI boom. Last time it was crypto, now AI. What next? And if you want throw your hard earned money down the drain.... Buy this pretty overpriced 5.7L wreck. What a disgusting -- product. -
It certainly helps pushing their brand new Cpu's on TSMC silicon🙂 Easier keep up the demand of replacement chips this way.

No One Is Buying AMD Zen 5 CPUs, So What's Going On? Zen 5 sales have not gone well and AMD is struggling to sell Ryzen 9000 CPUs. Let's analyze the flow-on effects this is having across the rest of the CPU market. Are Intel CPU stability issues affecting sales? The other interesting thing to look at in the market right now is the price of Intel processors. You'd think that with significant negative attention around stability issues with 13th- and 14th-gen parts, prices would quickly start to fall as consumers stop buying them. But that really hasn't happened. Btw. Almost none post about failing Intel chips now. Why? Because the minor failing rate?

Buffer Overflow Vulnerability Discovered in Crucial MX500 SSD Firmware Buffer overflow vulnerabilities are significant because they can allow attackers to overwrite memory, execute arbitrary code, or crash the system. In the context of an SSD controller, this could lead to data corruption, loss, or unauthorized access. Welcome to the Matrix Disgusting: Meta confirms that its AI has been trained on all public social media posts since 2007 Nice. Me... Have avoided social media as facepalm and the like in many years (since the beginning). People get what they asked for @Mr. Fox @ryan @Rage Set +++. When will we get same infor from Microsoft? Facebook admits to scraping every Australian adult user's public photos and posts to train AI, with no opt-out option Facebook has admitted that it scrapes the public photos, posts and other data of Australian adult users to train its AI models and provides no opt-out option, even though it allows people in the European Union to refuse consent.

I fix it for you 🙂 Can't be much worse than BulldoZen5. Isn't this special? Will always be like this when you release re-hashed Cpu's that should have the Zen4+ moniker instead of a brand new new SKU name.. Abysmal Zen 5 sales allegedly result in "the worst launch since Bulldozer" AMD's latest Ryzen 9000 processors have seemingly suffered a terrible launch with low sales. The situation, according to the leaked information, is so bad that AMD distributors are receiving substantial requests for returns... In short, Zen 5 CPU sales seem to be quite bad, as the chips failed to live up to the expectations of fans who were hoping for a bigger performance jump.

The office/gaming chairs thread. Please post about what chair you prefer and why. And please post about chairs you would like to purchase or have tested (pro and cons). Thanks Hope this is the correct sub forum for this thread. If not move it to the correct place. Thanks @Reciever Fractal have just released their first chair. Looks classy and clean. My take on this.... Why the low sales numbers. Doesn't people buy new PC's nowadays? And if you are one of the people buying a new AMD PC platform.... Why go the route and try save $50 or 100 on the main component on an expensive pc platform.... Aka buy and put in an 2 years old Cpu. Board+memory is close to $1000 then why the $50 USD cost cutting on your new PC. You don't get much better graphics card for $50 USD nowadays if you want to spend thos saved $$$. Not even for $100 more. Then we are back to the answer. PC parts has become damn expensive... People keep their old stuff. Of course they (AMD) then can't get rid of the new cutting edge tech as underwhelming BulldoZen5. The pricing on new tech is all too high now. And people have less money than before. So this mess is their own fault. Let em burn in with their overpriced unsold inventory. Greed come at a price.

Why is Zen5 a flop? Because of disgusting prices, price vs performance or the lack of performance uplift vs prior gen Zen 4 ? @Rage Set @electrosoft @Mr. Fox We are soon to see new overpriced MB more expensive than ever for Zen5 chips. Will this boost the sales of Ryzen Zen5 chips?
