  1. Blackwell architecture innovations and DLSS 4 mean the GeForce RTX 5090 GPU outperforms the GeForce RTX 4090 GPU by up to 2x. Then you have this.... NVIDIA DLSS 4 Boosts Performance by Up to 8x. By Nvidia NVIDIA Blackwell GeForce RTX 50 Series Opens New .. Fake frame features that can't be port to previous gen GPU's is an fantastic idea. Also AMD want this now. When will we see fake performance uplift from processors. Etc see an boost from Cinebench with 8x ? Hmmm. Food for thoughts😀 Next Generation of GeForce RTX GPUs Deliver Stunning Visual Realism and 2x Performance Increase, Made Possible by AI, Neural Shaders and DLSS 4 Nvidia showed that one scene could be rendered at 27 frames per second with the DLSS turned off, with a 71 millisecond PC latency. DLSS 2 can do that scene with its super resolution tech at 71 FPS and PC latency of 34 milliseconds. DLSS 3.5 can do the scene at 140 FPS and 33 milliseconds. But DLSS 4 comes in at a whopping 247 FPS and 34 milliseconds. DLSS 4 is more than eight times better performance than systems that aren’t using AI for the predictive processing. I wonder how much gain 5000 series will give in pure rasterization performance over 4000 series cards. There is no major node changes for Blackwell.
  2. Thanks. . Edit. Half the cores for 5080 will match the price for 5090 who have more vram. There is no competiton so the price seems quite correct. 5090 is bad news for the sales of Intel Core Ultra chips. The X3D chips from AMD will fly out from the shelves.
  3. It see Nvidia have made a place for an possible 5080Ti. $1500 for an failed 5090 die after they have enough chips to sell? And as expected... Nvidia want to compete in mid end with the 5070. Isn't 5080 half the die of 5090 ?
  4. @Mr. Fox are you ready for a new round with AW Jokebooks? Finally you can get the Area-51 model with welded on chips. And it offer clear Gorilla Glass window on the underside of the laptop provides a view into the inner-workings of the machine. Yup, you don't need to open the bottom to see the fans😁 Elite Performance: Area-51 unleashes 280 W of power on next-gen NVIDIA graphics and a next-gen Intel Ultra CPU - this is the upper limit of performance on any gaming laptop, period. Dell Unveils Pair of Alienware Area-51 Laptops CES Press Release Yesterday, 22:39 The mobile cavalry has landed with the introduction of Area-51 laptops. These 18-inch and 16-inch laptops have an acute focus on power, performance and innovative engineering in a new otherworldly design language. Maybe their new desktop PC is more in line what you want from Dell? And you have asked for two dim boards. Dell offer it. See.... Dual channel RAM configurations up to 64 GB DDR5 XMP (2x 32 GB) at 6400 MT/s. ALIENWARE AREA-51 DESKTOP Area-51 Desktop makes a bold entrance to retake the throne as Alienware's flagship gaming PC. With this edition, we are returning to our roots with a machine that caters to the desires of PC gaming enthusiasts and longtime Alienware fans Dell Brings Back the Alienware Area-51 Desktop PC CES Press Release Yesterday, 22:04 Discuss (18 Comments) Alienware is reintroducing the iconic Area-51 back into the family, reanimated in desktop and laptop forms. Deep lore underpins Area-51, dating back to 1998. While the design, technology and gameplay have evolved significantly from iteration to iteration, one fact has remained the same: Area-51 represents the best that Alienware offers. The motherboard is also replaceable with the purchase of an optional AlienFX motherboard harness that is required when installing third party aftermarket motherboards.
  5. Why upgrade to something even much worse? As Windows 10 end of support looms, Windows 11 upgrade pop-up is crashing PCs for some Microsoft shows us how to make something even worse
  6. Why upgrade when the old is better? Is new/newer always better? Microsof try as hard they can with same buggy coding as in Windows 11 @ryan @Mr. Fox😎 As Windows 10 end of support looms, Windows 11 upgrade pop-up is crashing PCs for some Microsoft shows us how to make something even worse
  7. Much easier find such materials (videos) for kids than easly buy booze or smoke from the stores. You just can't compare it.
  8. What bothers me... Stupid Govenments. Can anyone tell me what they will gain from this? The Pornhub Bans Are Not About Keeping Kids Safe
  9. Microsoft disguises Bing as Google to fool inattentive searchers If you can't beat Google, trick your users into thinking that they're using Google. That seems to be Microsoft's sneaky new approach to Bing search. Yep, Microsoft is a disgusting company. You just can't trust them. I will never even use anything from M$ for browsing/search on internet. Not in hell. I wonder what would happen if a smaller company have done the same. @Mr. Fox +++
  10. GTX 1080 Ti https://hwbot.org/submission/5744551_papusan_3dmark_vantage___performance_(gpu)_geforce_gtx_1080_ti_121627_marks?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/5744549_papusan_3dmark_vantage___performance_geforce_gtx_1080_ti_126753_marks?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/5744543
  11. AMD will probably be the better choice also for coming gaming Jokebooks. Because Intel use same tiled mess without HT here as well. But who knows... Jokebook users jockey's prefer high single core boost. Vendor claims Ryzen 9 9955HX3D with Zen 5 cores and 3D V-Cache is ready for launch — manufacturer also asserts Arrow Lake-HX CPUs offer minimal performance improvements
  12. I mean @Mr. Foxhave tried Silver King. Btw. Happy new year brother. Long time since I have seen you. Hope all is well 🙂
  13. Linux Year in Review 2024 - The Windows alternative is finding more and more fans Linux on the desktop is gaining more and more fans. An overview of what 2024 has brought and what 2025 could bring.
  14. Remember U.S Government is after Nvidia now due improved AI performance for China. They need to improve ways to stop hacking/cross-flashing of firmware due risk of ban. We pc enthusiasts/consumers have to pay the price for all this.
  15. Sorry bruh. Better with the black box with Ice-cream?😁 The card looks as mint condition. The weight topped out at 1.7 Kg. 575W only? 4090 was only 450W default but you could get cards with 666W power limits as the HOF. I'm sure you'll get use of your 675W via external cable and pcie connector😀 I just hope nvidia this time don't stop people from cross-flashing bios between the different AIB cards. They wasn't happy you could flash Galax firmware on their FE cards with custom software. We'll see. Nvidia could improve ways to lock you out from tampering with your new cards. They are a software company now as you should know.
  16. Nvidia needed to boost the power consumption with 125W. I wonder how much the performance would sink with lower 450W TDP as for today's 4090's. The increased TDP is probably needed because there is not a major change on the node for 5000 series cards. Edit. Blackwell for data centers is fabricated using a custom 5nm-grade (4NP) node from TSMC, which is said to be an enhanced version of 4N seen on Ada Lovelace and not a full-fledged node jump. This likely explains why Nvidia is pushing power limits to extract every last drop of performance. Hmm. Papuan's delayed Christmas present to himself🙂 Say hello to MSI GTX 1080 Ti Lightning Z. In pristine condition, both for the card and the box. And the card is clean and nice. Never tampered with and still with the avoid sticker on the screw. Damn nice. I also got the orginal invoice from the seller. The owner paid $900 in 2017 for this beauty. If I include the price hike since 2017 which is 22.81 percent then the card would cost around 1100 USD in Norway with todays money. Yep, half the price vs custom AIB 4090 flagship. But remember in the old days the price premium for the flagship models was mostly below or around $100. Etc a 4090 Strix have several hundreds in premium above MSRP cards nowadays. Sad direction, indeed. MSI offered Lightning cards in 3 versions. Vanilla version. Lighning X and then the flagship Lightning Z. The box is the same for all 3 SKUs (and the 3 cards is exactly same) but you can differenciate the different cards with the small sticker on the box and on the card. The tp model (Z) was produced in limited quantity. Only 3000 cards made.
  17. Probably stupidity. I really hope the younger one's is much smarter than what Suckerman think. Yet another stupid way to use AI. The decline of social media is coming: Meta wants to fill it with AI bots to simulate people Meta wants to fill social media with bots to attract a younger audience interested in AI. Meta's goal with this service of making bots that pretend to be users is to attract the attention of a younger audience , as they are very interested in AI.
  18. Polar low pressure heading inland – small to full storm expected. Nice. More of the damn white mess. And on top stormy weather as well. Can't beat this combo😞 It's mine now 🙂 This beauty will be sent to me after the New year holidays.
  19. Thanks. Yup, New year and new chances. We'll see if the seller here will accept sell the MSI 1080 TI Lighning Z to the old man Papusan🙂 I found this in the used market here home. Not many of thoose cards here home. Only 3000 of them being made. I rather pay $250 for used old nice special custom made cards than buy the new more fancy low end cards for similar prices. More fun. For me. And I'm an collector of such good old stuff🙂 He have 48 hours to accept it. And I know the pict lover (you know who you are)😀 wait for new nice pictures from Papusan's plaza.
  20. Happy New Year 2025 to you all from Papusan. I have already fired up all the rockets😀 Yup, the photo is taken from my trash-phone after sendind my money up in the air. Full bling bling. Yup, Razer can't do it much better. Only more expensive. Sorry I couldn't do it in all white, HaHa Not sure how many times I have moved away snow this winter. Jep, not happy with this white thingy. I rather prefer the green winters we usually have from Jun-Aug here up in the cold North. But you can't have it all🙂
  21. What with the coming flood of non K chips where Intel finallly can grab some profits fromTSMC silicon? People have asked for power efficiency so Intel will deliver on their promises. How it perform in games doesn't really matter. Intel said gaming is only a small part of what you can use processors for. Also these new locked down AL chips will offer decent single core performance Intel Core Ultra 200 “non-K” Arrow Lake CPUs pictured, new Core Ultra 5 230F on sale in China https://videocardz.com/newz/intel-core-ultra-200-non-k-arrow-lake-cpus-pictured-new-core-ultra-5-230f-on-sale-in-china
  22. Sad to see. Performance enthusiast get less and less. And all this just follow same paths... Everything going the same way as it did for DTR laptops. Intel said gaming wasn't the main target for the new AL platform. Hope the non K chips ready to fly out from the shelves offer what the consumers want. Hmmm. Who'm to blame. The gamer, the game developer, MB manufacturer or Intel? Massive performance drop with latest BIOS + MC + ME. Memory latency increased from ~69ns to ~80ns. I've run out of patience with this platform. Maybe Intel can please you with some cheaper chips to offset the disapointment with the new platform? For those who were interested in having a next-gen Intel CPUs the Core Ultra 3 could be the solution. Because it belongs to the same family as the rest of the Core Ultra CPUs Intel's cheapest CPU for gaming PCs will be the Core Ultra 3 205 with 8 Cores and almost 5 GHz! Intel releases a new generation of processors every year, giving it an advantage over AMD, which typically takes two years or more. While Intel does have newer CPUs available, it doesn't always get the next generation right and it's not always easy to get it right.
  23. Up to $700 price point for 9070XT.... Hmm... AMD is crazy. And people that will buy that card for this price... I don't know what to say. Rumors... Yes. But whats not rumors... AMD scrapped going with better than mid end. And Yeah, syntetic benchmarks ain't all... Because fake frames is the new. But 600-700$ for this, Oh'well. Better save your money. Asus ping their valuable customers/sheple where they are (social media). More trash on the way @Mr. Fox Asus leaks its ROG NUC 2025 on social media ahead of CES debut — compact gamer-focused RTX 50 and Core Ultra 200 mini PC on the way
  24. Yup see bolded text above.... That what you'll see in the GN video. This is really disgusting - really really bad. On top it's ROG branded. Yup, even worse than what Dell Alienware (the master of proprietary trashware) can deliver. Can't beat that task. Is this the utter bottom from Asus @Mr. Fox🤔 Could it be better without Asus slapped on the ROG logo ? Nope. Buyers of this ROG piece of trash being heavily screwed by Asus. Not only due the perverse price tag but the whole package as seen here in the video. But I'm sure Asus new audience (newborn techies) will happily buy it. Just look at Dell Alieneware. They are at the top, still offering trash to consumers.Yep, there is a market for everything. Sad to see how the mighty have fallen to try please their current and coming gen sheeple with junk/and to maximize profits. Say hello to Larry.... Spot on.
