Probably depends on the board you have. I guess 7200 with A-die should be easly doable with 12900KS with a ok board. -

I hope you are right. But isn't the main goal with the APO optimization to make the baby cores work better in games? In short offer better thread scheduler to make better utilization of the low-power E-cores in Intel's hybrid mess. Yup, the i7 and i9 have the same amount P-cores but different amounts of baby cores. The only difference for the i5 is less of all cores. Not only the amount P-cores. Intel shouldn't have such a fragmentation like this if they want to cater to the gamers. And many youngers buy the cheaper i5 models for playing their games. If they continue like this they just push more gamers on low budget, over to AMD. And If they continue like this they just shit in its own nest. They need to do a change and also include i5 chips from 12th gen and upwards. -

Same here. I flashed the 0071 only to see if I could get rid of the bug with CSM being randomly disabled with 0080. I haven't experienced this now with 0071... Maybe this come from my halfway faulty GTX 960. I swapped out that card after. I don't know. Tacky and ugly is modern bro Fox. The more modern... The more ugly. And a lot people have awful taste. Hence they can continue make ugly things. We'll later see if this new mem kit follow same paths. Here's their new 9000 mem kits. I wonder what this will cost. Why make it so ugly? Because this is the trend nowadays. Designers is veird people. They often have a taste tha's awful. But so is the buyers. Patriot gifts us Xtreme 5 RGB with red tops memory kit capable of 9000MHz, preview coming soon Edit. So todays golden question for you will be... Will Intel do the same for 12th and 13th gen Cpu's as they did for the 14th gen? Aka only offer the APO feature for xx700 and xx900 SKUs ? This means you are out of luck if you still have the 13600K as I can see in your sig. This mean one step forward and two steps backwards for some of you. Hope that won't be the case. Sad if Intel trash down own i5 products. -

Could be they have improved with 0080 and even the latest release bios. All from beta 0070 and newer have same ME. I think newest versions is more aimed (improved) to +48GB mem kits. When you are at it could you please check out current MC version added for all tested bios versions. More about modern tech trash!!!! Also here you can see what's wrong with modern tech. Why force people to use bloatware? This is disgusting. And this messed up tech shouldve never have been released in it's state. Test: Corsair 7000D AirFlow case and iCUE Link loop Attention, important remark and which we found a bit of a shame, by default, the pump does not run at its maximum speed. You might have the impression that it is struggling, but don't panic, once in the OS, you can modify its speed via the Corsair software. Hmmm..... Is this a joke or scam? Could of course be a liar or that he simply didn't understand the trade rules/offer. Regardless... This is awful if correct. New Microcenter Trade in Program for GPU's WTH is this? Whom want this in their pc builds? It looks like an mirror with all needed parts and screws taken from a big truck🤯 https://www.techpowerup.com/317604/hyte-releases-its-first-all-in-one-liquid-cooler-thicc-q60 From Norway's biggest tech retail store. See the box marked in orange on top... Translated to.... At the present time, there is considerable uncertainty related to the availability of the 4090. Extra delivery time may occur when ordering cards that are not in stock or have a confirmed date. Yup, nvidia don't want to sell gamer cards from AD102 for now. But the retail here in Norway have a huge flood with the 4080's. Yup, there is still a big chance to purchase nvidia graphics from latest gen. This if you prefer to pay an huge overprice for EOL cards. Where will they go when the 4080 Super is ready to be sent out from the stores? -

Maybe the same as for the Apex Encore. A bios orginally meant for the LN2 clockers. See link below. The big improvement on Encore bios 0070 and 0071 doesn't apply to most of us. I'm sick of all innovation to the worse. Please stop this madness. Asus is competing with Dell and Apple it seems. Making tomorows tech less appealing for every new day. Yup, Asus can be the Windows worlds Apple company. They even beating Dell in stupidity nowadays. And here you can see Asus going into the cablemod trap to make the BTF cards work with the smaller itx boards. https://videocardz.com/newz/asus-reveals-cable-free-geforce-rtx-4090-btf-gpu-with-600w-pcie-connector-no-12vhpwr-needed Yup, stay on the Cutting Edge🤮🤮🤮 https://www.tomshardware.com/desktops/gaming-pcs/asus-first-gaming-nuc-uses-intel-core-ultra-up-to-rtx-4070-in-a-25-liter-chassis -

Jan 09, 10:33 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti officially reach End-of-Life NVIDIA has officially communicated to the press as confirmed above by Andreas Schilling (HardwareLuxx) that both models are reaching their end of life (EOL). This confirms previous rumors, as the slow sales and insufficient supply of new cards in the market hinted at this development. Nice. $799 USD 4070 Ti had a very short life. And the 4070 Ti was meant to be Nvidia's $899 4080 Light, LOOL The 4070 TI is Nvidia's Biggest SCAM ever aka 4080 12 GB Existing and near-future owners of these EOL RTX 40 series graphics cards will still get driver support.... You may have a ok chance to get the 4070 Super at launch day. Could be Nvidia prefer that the 4090's going into data centers @Mr. Fox Edit. For the gamers sake I hope the Chinese will give Jensen and Nvidia the middle finger. Chinese companies aren't interested in Nvidia's slower AI chips LOOOL. nvidia have understood the value with "all black". Worse with their AIC partners that prefer design all the cards more and more for the gamer kids. I really like the idea with all black design. That's what Nvidia hope for. They have counted in this with the pricing. Same tactic as with the pricing of vanilla 4080 vs 4090. A much cheaper 4080 would mean less sales of the 4090. Btw, a lower price point as $749 for the xx70 TiS is even more expensive than previous gen xx80 cards. One tier up in price + inflatition (7-8%) wasn't enough for Nvidia. They wanted premium on top. FYI... 3070Ti was $599. $100 below the 3080. Now we see $200 difference between xx70Ti vs xx80 SKU. @Mr. Fox are you ready to support Dell Alienware with $199.99 USD ? Me.... Nope. Neither should you. Maybe next year or this fall we may see their first Custom RTX Nvidia cards with the AW logo printed on the shroud or backplate. And you'll get the well known Alienware software in the package🤮 Maybe this will be the new KB for bro @ryan's new PC build?😀 Alienware jumps into the custom keyboard market at CES The Pro Wireless keyboard includes tons of features from premium designs, joined by a new ultra-light gaming mouse. -

People and the tech press talking about 4080 Super more as a bargain... It's not. Hugely overpriced with $999. Thats a price hike north of 42% over previous gen xx80 card like the 3080. It should have been sub 7% as for the 4090 over 3090. Sad if I seein people is happy with this new DISGUSTING price tag. Even if they talk about price vs performance. No xx80 models is worth $1000. None! And I feel pitty for those that paid $1199 MSRP for the vanilla 4080 SKUs. And what with those that paid normal MSRP for 4080 Strix OC at same MSRP as the cheapest 4090 models? No thanks. The 4090 at MSRP is the only good option this gen cards. Overpriced yes, but not a scam as the xx80 cards. Super or not super. And don't be surprised if we will see the flagship 4080 OC models at the old $1199 price tag or above. That's +$200 premium. What's wrong with some people bro @Mr. Fox ? -

Maybe the situation is different in China. Everyone want a card and they have problem find 4090's. Gamers is probably happy with the rest of the overpriced SKU line. If they can't find any 4090's they will go for the 4080. Not the best benchmark to grab numbers from but 20W higher TGP sure will help. Resurfaced Video Shows Young Jensen Huang Promising ’Inexpensive' GPUs.... After a brief intro, Jensen outlined his vision beginning at 8:20 in the video, where he talked about the importance of making gaming graphics cards affordable. “We started a company and the business plan basically read something like this,” stated the Nvidia CEO. “We are going to take technology that is only available only in the most expensive workstations. We’re going… to try and reinvent the technology and make it inexpensive.” <Inexpensive> = https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/inexpensive Edit. Why have AMD all sorts of compatibility problems with their producs? Do they test their newer products? Ryzen CPU bug crashes PCs using Firewire devices A strange bug involving AMD's modern Ryzen CPUs and the old Firewire standard. Without getting too technical, Firewire and Ryzen users would often see their PCs crash if the "isochronous cycle timer" register on the CPU was accessed. This register would be accessed if a user ever plugged in a Firewire device or was using software that required constant access to the register. Although crashes are no longer a problem for Firewire-Ryzen PCs, the patch is a double-edged sword and "brings apparent disadvantage since time-aware application programs require it," according to Sakamoto. Linux users with this hardware combination might have to switch to Intel or even downgrade to one of AMD's pre-Ryzen CPUs, as neither exhibit the same problems seen on Ryzen-powered PCs. -

Yup, Nvidia have no problems get rid of the defective AD102 chips that don't go into the few 4090s for the gamers. NVIDIA RTX 5880 ADA with 14K shader cores and 48GB Published by Hilbert Hagedoorn NVIDIA has unveiled the RTX 5880 ADA, a new professional desktop GPU tailored for tasks such as 3D modeling, rendering, data visualization, and video streaming. This release comes in response to U.S. export restrictions, which have limited the availability of the flagship RTX 6000 ADA GPU in specific regions, including China. The RTX 5880 ADA aims to address these restrictions by offering reduced specifications that conform to the imposed performance limits. The key feature of the RTX 5880 ADA is its AD102 GPU, which houses 14,080 CUDA cores, representing a 22% reduction compared to the RTX 6000 ADA. -

Yes. And only a re-flash fix it. Sometime you have to flash an older version. But all this follow the tech trend nowadays. It just has to be bugged software, OS and firmware. They just can't make it right. You shouldn't have to experience this mess with a simple switch over to the second bios rom. Oh'well it’s what it is. A flash put it back to working state. But it seems I have weird problems with the new old 960 card. I had to use another GPU to get a picture😕 I'm quite sure the card works ok so this is weird. When I have the time I will put it into the old test machine and see what happens. If you can find the 14700K for around the same amount money then you get 20 cores and slightly higher clock speed. And you get Intel APO support if that is something you care about. Could be handy for the gamers if Intel was able to implement it for more games. Intel Core i7 14700K review Sum up That said, Intel is offering a lot more chip for your money with the 14700K over previous generations. If you're chasing multithreaded power and don't want to sacrifice leading gaming performance, you won't find a rival for the same money. -
