Looking forwards to new pictures that show your honest feelings about new coming tech😁 Now I know where you'll get them. You live in Arizona bro @Mr. Fox So easy access to the poo museum. Don't forget bring with you your smartphone (tomorrow's desktop pc) and camera when visiting😆 Opens poo museum Yes, you read that right. Recently, an American opened a poo museum in Arizona. Here's the new successor for 1000D. I don't miss much much of anything with my 1000D. Totally new design is often a huge step back. But not much have changed vs the older 1000D. And that's a good thing you don't see every day in tech world🙂 Corsair Cases at Computex 2024: The Goliath 9000D and Nimble 3500X The 9000D is the spiritual successor to the 1000D—a no-holes-barred full tower with enough room for multiple independent DIY liquid cooling loops, so you could liquid-cool your CPU, graphics cards, and other hot gear separately from each other. Actually, you can have two separate PCs in here, with the second one being a Mini-ITX, so you could run your streaming and OBS server off it without affecting your main rig's game latency in any possible way. There are at least four large radiator mounts that take 480 mm or 420 mm radiators, each. You can see from the example build how you have the room for multiple reservoirs, radiators, and independent loops. -
Researcher says Microsoft's Windows Recall has security gaps "you can fly a plane through" The OCR data for each snapshot is stored in a plaintext SQLite database file. And Microsoft want that you swap out to newer hardware for security reasons (to be allowed to run their newest OS). <<More secure hardware won't help if the oS continue be a security problem. And with Microsofts new features you will get a less secure computer.

One more for this post. Not much to choose from if you want 2-dimm board for next gen Intel. Asus as usual continue play the god with next gen mb design (hided connectors for pretty look) and mobile memory slots. And not to forget BTF graphics cards. Hmmm don't have to big hopes. Not so fast my old friend. Modern computer users wil be happy with whatever they buy. Remember new tech will always cater to new type computer users. And the old computer users has to accept it. Mobile hardware will be transformed into desktop hardware. The differences bethween mobile and desktop hardware will be erased. For Lunar Lake, Intel took a closer look at the issue of P-cores and HTT. A core that is specifically designed for use without HTT can actually work faster in the end. With HTT, you would still gain in terms of performance per area, but not in any other area. That's why this feature is being dropped in the mobile sector, just as it will later be dropped in the desktop sector. Read the most important in the sentence.... NEXT-GEN. GEIL shows off CAMM2 and LPCAMM2 memory for next-gen laptops and desktops Arm CEO Boldly Predicts Arm Chips Will Overtake 50% Of Windows PCs By 2029 Arm’s CEO, Rene Haas, is bullish that chips based on the company’s designs will make waves in the PC market that is currently almost exclusively the domain of Intel and AMD. While chips using Arm’s designs have been a wild success in the mobile device nad IoT spaces, it hasn’t managed to make any significant inroads. Yup. They need offer something for the new gen so they can keep up the ugly price point. Or even increase it. Overkill for an 230W Cpu. -

Intel make ready for more of the baby cores in consumer (mainstream) chips in the future. Hence they needed the space in the silicon (removed HT). Make bigger silicon die's is all too expensive. Better remove features that eat power and cut costs. Is less more bro @ryan ? Can you do more with less or can you do more with more? Removing the dedicated fairness mechanisms and extra security features required for hyperthreading makes the core leaner, delivering a 15% increase in performance efficiency, 10% increase in performance per area, and a 30% improvement in performance per power per area. This was much more effective than merely disabling hyperthreading while leaving the control circuitry present, as shown in the measurements in the last slide above. The new approach also preserves die area for other additives, like more E-cores or GPU cores. Intel isn’t discarding hyperthreading for all use-cases — it still sees tremendous value in P-core-only designs. As such, Intel architected two versions of the Lion Cove core, one with and one without hyperthreading, so that the threaded Lion Cove core can be used in other applications, like we see in the forthcoming Xeon 6 processors. -

Disgusting! But people will buy it. Because it's a Lian Li product. And the new modern tech trend continue... There is no limits for awful. And TSMC want more $$$ from the AI hype. - Will show the Nvidia boss what we are worth TSMC's strongman has complained to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, and wants better pay. With a 78 percent gross margin, it should at least be enough to take off. PS. The forum is now almost useless to use. So slow and laggy that this can't be used. Never seen it this slow @Reciever A glimpse into next gen Intel.... -

LOOL Now it seems AMD also has accepted the tiny 12+4 trash connector. So they trust it for workstation cards but not for their gamer cards. Both have 32 threads🙃 Next generation Intel will most likely have fewer threads than AMDs best chips. 24 vs 32 threads. Common math should say less will offer less and not more. If less beats more then it's a failure for the new thread king🙂 Time will tell if less is more bro @ryan -
Google set to phase out Manifest V2 in a few days, breaking many ad blockers THE YEAR OF FIREFOX: Google initially announced the Manifest V3 API in 2018, but the new extension technology was delayed several times because of the intrinsic limitations it imposed on ad blockers and security add-ons. Now that it is ready for release, Mountain View will begin phasing out Manifest V2 extensions in Chrome next month.

LOOL NVIDIA RTX 5080 rumor sparks fears that this GPU could be disappointing - but don't panic yet Darren Allan | Video Cards & GPUs | Jun 3, 2024 2:19 PM CDT NVIDIA's next-gen Blackwell gaming GPUs are keenly anticipated, of course, and while Computex 2024 didn't give us any of the details on RTX 5000 that we wanted, a leaker has stepped into the breach with some fresh nuggets of rumors. -

Nope. Just added the promised IPC increase on top of Zen 4 to find what score you should expect from the new 16 core Ryzen flagship chips. 44.500 in CBR-23 from the brand new Ryzen flagship is far below what I get with an oc with my "old" intel chips. And that's not much to be excited about. Newer gen should mean much better. Regardless if it comes from the Red or the blue camp. Half-baked isn't good enough. -

AI optimized cold plate. What's next? This is getting ridiculous. Or out of hands. Asetek debuts revolutionary AI-optimized ECAM cold plate — constructed using high-resolution 3D metal printing in collaboration with Fabric8Labs This will be more and more ugly. Now it's time start cripple desktops GPU's in same way as Nvidia and OEMs did for Jokebooks. People remember Max-Q ? Wouldn't it be nice wikth similar for desktops? Castrate power and performance to be able to use the graphics card in thin, light and slimy. Nvidia Launches SFF-Ready Certification for GPUs and Compact Computer Cases Published Yesterday by Hilbert Hagedoorn 5 Nvidia has introduced the SFF-Ready certification program, aimed at standardizing the compatibility of graphics processing units (GPUs) with small form factor (SFF) computer cases, particularly mini-ITX housings. The initiative provides clear guidelines for the maximum dimensions of video cards and the minimum internal space requirements for compatible computer cases, facilitating the selection process for users seeking to assemble or upgrade compact PCs. Under this new program, GPUs eligible for the SFF-Ready label must adhere to specific size restrictions. They can be no longer than 304mm, no higher than 151mm, and must not exceed a thickness of 2.5 slots. Correspondingly, SFF housings are required to accommodate at least these dimensions, with a minimum length of 312mm, a height of 154.5mm, and a slot thickness accommodating up to 2.5 slots. This standardization effort by Nvidia aims to simplify the hardware selection process for enthusiasts and professionals looking to build or upgrade to a compact system without compromising on the performance capabilities often associated with larger, more traditional PC builds. Several leading hardware manufacturers are participating in Nvidia’s SFF-Ready program. -

Spot on on most bro @Talon🤠 If what I have seen is correct.... The 4nm node AMD use for Zen 5 is just an refined 5nm from TSMC. Cost cutting from AMD or they (TSMC) can't offer better for high performance right now. But will you see Ryzens with more than sixteen cores? It doesn't sound that likely, CEO Lisa Su says. -

We know there is a fix. But +95% of the users don't know that they are at the risk getting halfbroken cards back when they try grab points on Hwbot with 4090. There will always be new newbies coming to hwbot. And I know there is people having problems with weird crashes after their cards is filled up with vram errors. Oh'well. Happy those that get free binned hardware. And all problems just follow samepath as the tech trend. And it willbe worse. Much worse. Google admits flaws in AI Overview Google will limit the type of information that AI Overview can generate. And here you can see AMD really show it's ugly face... Want oc'ing. Buy better board. Changes are also coming to the mid-range segment. The B650E and B650 chipsets will be replaced by the B850 and B840, respectively. This marks the introduction of the X40 class in the AMD portfolio, using a different chipset (Prom19) compared to the higher-tier boards. The main difference between the B850 and B840 is that the B840 will not support CPU overclocking. See @ryanNew has to be better. Replaced = Newer. https://videocardz.com/newz/gigabyte-confirms-new-b840-chipset-no-cpu-oc-support-and-no-pcie-gen5 Edit. The forum is still awful slow and laggy. Almost useless try to posting. -

Confirmed. All 4000 series graphics cards offer corrupted results if you push your vram. But only the 4090 flagship get the special treatment from Hwbot.... Most likely because this card provide highest global scores and offer ECC settings Enabled in NCP that offer people corrupted cards. Nice. https://www.overclock.net/posts/29334556/ -

$2500 ? Nope. That has to be for the 5090 refresh with the Super or Ti moniker. And measly +$3000 price point will be for an possible 5090 Ti Super variant at the end of 5000 series life cycle. Remember Nvidia was so kind add the very long weirdo name 4070 Ti Super for the 3rd SKU of the 4070 series (4070-4070Ti-4070Ti Super). Could as well be the destiny for 5090. Disgusting? Yes. What more to say....... And here comes Todays Joke.... Fantastic new and modern. New modern gaming Jokebooks is able to sustain 275W combined load/heat for Gpu and Cpu. In the older days you had gaming laptops that easily handled 2x200W GPU sustained load + separate power for the Cpu. or above 500W. Sad seeing this is what they call improved cooling. Even if there is less corrupted results from the other 4000 series cards as etc 4080... You can't force limitations (own rules and special restictions) for 4090 if they all suffer from same mess from UL/Futuremark. ECC settings only for 4090 in NCP isn't a valid reason to diffrenciate them.
