  1. With not good enough cooling and with the Intel (mb manufactures cut costing) bend-gate, people risk problems like mentioned. Cheapo cooling is a no go even with Intel default crash-proof profile. People get what they wanted. Or just castrate the unlocked chips to 125W. Or even better.... Buy locked down cpus if you prefer cut down on the cooling. Buyers is their own enemy! They all think everything has to work correctly out of the box with+250w whatever cooling. Why you think thin an slimy jokebooks is so popular?
  2. Yup, nothing in put in stone yet but some results should be close enough, this close to launch. As I said.... Single core performance with the promised Power efficiency as the gods savoir and you see where I go. Single core performance doesnt always show the whole MT performance. And the different benchmarks doesnt show how it perform. Just look at the Geek and the physics scores in 3DM suites benchmarks with Ryzzzzan. I have +31K in TS and 16K in TSE physics. And +64K in FS physics with trash cores disabled. How close is Zen5 to older Intel? Also my physics is 154.000 in older 3DM Vantage. And running the whole benchmark tests. Everything below this is a failure for next gen tech. The hype train continue with the modern 🙂 But I always hope I have wrong @johnksss @Rage Set @Mr. Fox @Raiderman @jaybee83 @Clamibot @Reciever @tps3443 @chew++++. What you think bro @ryan? Are we doomed due AI and or the tech companies greed?🤐
  3. Not sure in the beginning. im not an early adopter on new expensive tech as etc gpus. As you know I often have big fun with older cards. And remember Im retired from works due destroyed health. Already on the 15th year retired. And I have spent 20.000 usd on my house last 10 months. And new 20.000 usd will be used the coming 2-3 months. Sometimes you need to prioritize what is most important for you and your family. But it will be new tech, but need to see if it can serve my hobby well. I hate spend money if the product is not what i expect. And I have said it many times... New/newer isn't always better. Or take I wrong (about moderne tech) as usual bro @ryan😁 68% higher IPC on the E-cores and 14% higher IPC on the P-cores than Meteor Lake. The 16 Baby cores offer 50% of the whole performance of the 14900K So 34% uplifth + 14% on P cores thats half the cpus performance means 7% uplifth for the full cpu if you count in P-cores. So 34+7 = 41% gain. Then pick of the missing HT gain that means around 23% less performance and you see a measly max 18% performance uplifth in MT performance for unlocked 15th gen. Thats not good news in my head. Almost as Intel and AMD trying to share the whole cpu cake. Remember AMD said 16% in MT performance uplifth. This is not real competition!! So this has to be todays joke or reality. Pick what you want. Intel trade performance for better efficiency (no more HT to increase single Core performance to come on par with rest of the stupidity and better power efficiency). Remember single core performance is the new modern trend to compare performance. What a perverse new tech world. Hope you understood 3/4 of my rambling 🙂 But we will see who smile last. Or had correct. https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cpus/intel-upcoming-cpu-models-confirmed-by-diagnostic-tool-arrow-lake-and-lunar-lake-skus-revealed
  4. Then let the worse binned cards have voltage raised from 1.1 to 1.150 🤩 Nvidia always use best silicon for own FE cards. And now they even offer 600w. Aka TGP above what some AIB partners offer for own custom cards. Then what next... Offer dual vbios and better colling and screw own partners further 😉Btw... Bought an Android phone for this 1 month summer vacation because my old crapple was near dead and I hate the Android crap. My old iPhone had many weird stupid solutions but damn the Android trash have other stupid flaws. I said to my son... None have good engineers with brain!!! None can make good great jokephones. Sometimes you wish you didn't need more than one old DORO.
  5. Yup, you need the Hof as mine (you know I have access to everything forbidden on the web) or solder and use Elmore tool. There is nothing outside this. Add +1.28v and see your card fry in real time without sub Zero temps. Minus 5 aint enough, LOOL But everyone should have enough voltage available in firmware from Nvidia to avoid clock stretching om Nvidia Cards. Nvidia crippled own Products without reason. Good custom cards should all have 1.150v available in oc mode. The only real limits should be max temp throttling target. At least let the gpu run with max voltage as 1.150 up to 75-80C. This should be enough for most. Be happy one single OEM still can do this. And who knows with 5000 series? I'm quite sure Nvidia vas damn pissed for the custom nvflash that breaked how firmware with 4000 series worked. And they are certainly not happy people could XRoss-flash VBIOS from all oems custom vbios on their FE cards with this custom mod.
  6. From what I have read and learn,,,, You need exactly 1.150 to reduce/stop clock stretching om 4090s. People believe they run with correct boost clock but it isn't. This is properly tested from the author of the unlocked nvflash for 4000 series cards. No one should use any org vbios on revised cards with the 1.075. Edit. Can't remember his name now but i think its Kefi. He also posted about this on his reddit thread. And his youtube channel.
  7. Will it come a new update that makes the new gen Ryzen better than this trash below? 9950X results have popped up. Similar disappointment as 9600X and 9700X trash results. Tempting bro @Mr. Fox? You really want that single core performance uplifth? New benchmark scores for the 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor were revealed, showcasing its performance enhancements over previous models In competitive testing against Intel's offerings, the Ryzen 9 9950X demonstrated superior single-core performance compared to the Intel Core i9-14900KS and Core i9-14900K, although it fell slightly behind the 14900KS and was comparable to the 14900K in multi-core tests. https://www.guru3d.com/story/ryzen-9-9950x-processor-singlecore-is-higher-than-ryzen-9-7950x-multicore-is/ Will be 38C here in Canary but with high humidity 😞 Equal awful as posted Geek results with Zen5 chips.
  8. See the joke when AMD going with lower TDP for better power efficiency for new gen vs previous gen Ryzen 7 x700X. A measly 7.6% performance uplifth in MT. All is about offer best single core performance nowadays. Exactly as APPLE'S baby cpu's for thin jokebooks. All about how to reduce power consumption. Just castrate it. https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-ryzen-7-9700x-and-ryzen-5-9600x-geekbench-tests-have-been-leaked
  9. If the tech trend continue you'll see also desktop computing will follow same paths as mobile. Everything start one place. Mobile chips transformed into desktop chips doesnt bode well. Phone cores for high end desktops for power efficiency is perverse. Yup, you have still replaceable chips for your desktop build but they are still designed around mobile platforms. Hope Intel doesnt screw up for better power efficiency (HT increase power). If they do they will look stupid. Add the 4th big A.... Arrow lake. Everything with the A letter is Awful.
  10. Disgusting! What a failure of thinking. Idiotic tech editor. We all know what happened with DTR laptops. And with ordinary (gaming) jokebooks. From 2013 it got worse for every year. APPLE and now ARM pushing next gen tech. I can add in the 3rd big A.... AMD🤢 Oh my gosh how disgusting this will be. ARM said they would grabb 50% of the cpu market within 2029🤢 But, while the news is shocking on its face, it’s not as bad as it sounds. This RAM change will actually help the average PC buyer, and it won’t be a long-term threat to people who want upgradeable RAM. Here’s why. Lots of laptops already have soldered RAM, anyway https://www.pcworld.com/article/2373541/intels-lunar-lake-laptops-wont-let-you-upgrade-your-ram-heres-why-thats-fine.html
  11. Yup, cost savings. But a idiot proof design could reduce this problem to minimum. Sloppy engineering and cutting cost is todays tech in a nutshell. They will all cut costs if they can. Edit. The thin boards as Z690 with minimal pcb layers didn't help either. Remember the massive bending boards. They looked as bananas. Cost cutting at worst. And all boards that cost an arm and a leg should have backplate to reduce such problems. No backplate and 6-8 layers boards and a ILM that should not pass QC is a disaster none should have sent out from the factories. And I have mounted the Thermaright for the Asus Z690 board I gave to my oldest son. Used 2 days to make it work as expected. Too much pressure and you got problems. Same also if you losened the pressure. And random. Sometimes you needed do it opposite to make it work after repaste. And with wrong pressure on the WB (yup I followed the guide for perfect torque). Random when it works. Never this problem with the Encore. And never such problems with the cheapo Z690 Gigabyte Auros board for the youngest son. Even with AC l have it hard. I also need to be out and thats without AC, HaHa. Never used to this temps. Im an viking you know. Cold weather is what Im used to, LOOL
  12. https://www.tweaktown.com/news/99179/intels-new-lga-1851-socket-uses-rl-ilm-loading-mechanism-improved-thermals-and-more/index.html Pay more if you want the best for next generation. Why can't Intel make one simple single high quality proper ILM that can be used years forwards? One fifth all sockets and with the best contact. ILM for 1700 boards was awful. A lotteri. Some goth good contact while others had thermal problems. Btw. On my 1 month Canary summer vacation (outside Africa). Even with AC unit inside the bungalow l'm boiling. High humidity since first day. I probably empty that big Water box every 2 Hours. So this hot and humid weather makes the life harder. My newer big heat/AC unit I got last fall is much easier. Better effects and pump all water outside the house. I only need to clean the airfilter every 2nd week. Nothing more. Main Service every 2nd or 3rd year. And it will last me 20 years from what I know. Expected save me 3/4 of my electricity bill. As well have good inside climate. Both cold when i need it or maximum heat under coldest periods. Home,,, Average temps is 13C and loads of rain. Coldest days have been sub 8C. The worst summer weather in many years. Juny was terrible and the start of July is equal bad. But who knows what August will bring home. We have to see 🙂
  13. Microsoft need more Guinea pig. They need to see if there is more bugs or other problems with the new update. And Microsoft improve as always.... Windows 11’s MSN Weather app now has more ads and new features Microsoft's Windows business is not very profitable, and they have started including ads in Windows 11, Microsoft Edge, and built-in apps like MSN Weather. The situation is worsening with a new server-side update.
  14. It seems not the only issues with MSI and AMD platform. If they could wait 1.5 years for the fix for 4000 series cards, then the consumers can wait another half year for the rest. Or just use the M.2 ssd as backup disk in an nice enclosure box😬 Win win, you all need backup disks (that's not always connected to the pc)😁 See this issue as an great feature from MSI, LOOL MSI Releases AMD AGESA Combo PI-1.2.0.0 BIOS Update for Compatibility Fixes With NVIDIA GPUs PRESS RELEASE MSI released a new AMD AGESA Combo PI-1.2.0.0 BIOS update today for all AMD X670E, X670, B650, and A620 motherboards. This update aims to enhance the overall user experience by addressing several key issues and new improvements. Users simply need to update the BIOS to the latest version to benefit from these enhancements. @Mr. FoxI don't think you need the heating function... But the price is still quite step for an gaming chair. AutoFull Announces M6 Gaming Chair with Ventilated and Heated Seat Cushion Would be nice trying this one. But prices here home would be awful... You get it below $100 now. A killer price for an office chair. Staples Hyken Ergonomic Mesh Swivel Task Reddit's favorite desk chair is a massive 66% off The Union & Scale FlexFit Swivel Task Chair is comfortable, adjustable, and only $90 right now.
  15. Read and learn from the link.... One step forwards then one step backwards. This reminds me all too much about oc'ing modern Jokebooks.... Security measures to limit overclocking = Exactly the way the OEMs treated laptops the last +decade. I'm sure no one have forgotten F. Azor's final fix when he saw that smart people could use dual 330W power adapters for their Alienware laptops. It is mentioned, though, that although supported, AMD may introduce safeguards to limit overclocking to safer values. The byproduct of using 3D V-Cache is greater susceptibility to voltage changes.
  16. Yup, interesting. I'm sure you'll find a lot more with a deeper search. And only AMD have access to the loads of telemetry data stolen from your PC via drivers, firmware and software. I'm sure AMD also get crash logs from Microsoft. Then keep such info hided from people and fool the customers with stupid fixes they know don't work. Afterwards come with a half-baked fix they have worked on several months/years afterwards. Tech industry is a rotten business.*****https://www.tomshardware.com/video-games/pc-gaming/qualcomm-snapdragon-x-elite-laptops-suffer-compatibility-issues-with-many-games Is the new always better bro @ryan? 😁 "Interestingly, when I swapped back to my old CPU, the Ryzen 7 2700X, I didn't experience any stuttering issues with the RTX 4070 Super". Stutter with rtx 4070 super drivers bad in-game stuttering issues with Ryzen 7 7800x3d build
  17. "MSI continues to prioritize user satisfaction by regularly providing updates that address issues and enhance performance" Nice. Finally after 1.5 years they are able to fix the 4000 series stability issues. And right in time for 9000 series Ryzen. Yup.........

  21. One thing for sure he get the really bad samples for repair🙂 Have fun😆
  22. Yup, I also enoy this channel below🙂 What to avoid.... Yep, Gigabyte goes their own way. So no love from NWR. But we all know that. My one and lonely Gigabyte card (one of +20 different cards) died due my hobby. Yup, I avoid this brand. Cheap old or not doesn't matter.
  23. MSI forced by the community? Or hope that the screwed one will buy new hardware from MSI when the old need to be replaced? You can't trust MSI more than your trust on Asus or Microsoft. So, if your RTX 4060 or 4070 graphics card has been playing up in an MSI 600 series motherboard, this update could be an absolute must-have to get things running smoothly again.
