Nice systems bro Fox. But regarding the flow rate.... I expect the chiller run colder.... Aka lower temps will reduce flow rate. Same also if you use different coolant for them. Can you confirm you use exactly same coolant? Regarding idiot factor. What you in short say.... Idiots buying Gigabyte. Not as easy.... Gigabyte made trash PCB design before this new change. That's the facts. Put up 1000 cards. 50% with Gigabyte and 50% with another brand. The outcome will still show that more Gigabyte cards get cracks due idiot PCB design. Not because only idiots buy Gigabyte😎 Isn't that idiotic? Same also with FE cards. PCB is designed with same weird shape. Maybe less cards sold (or lower weight in combination with a shorter card) can help Nvidia fix less cracked cards. Or they sell their FE cards to less idiots😆 Yup, Gigabyte was able to see for themself that their own idiot GPU PCB design pushed away former buyers after they being screwed with cracked cards. Good repair youtube videos floding also helped push Gigabyte in the right direction. A big win win for idiots? Or for Gigabyte? Could be for both 🙂 -

When you buy a house, you always have something to spend money on. On the house and inventory, LOOL I just replaced the sewage system... And installed a new electrical system late last year. Only $13.5000 USD. Then we bought the heater/AC unit right before Christmas at +$3000. This year there will be a new sliding balcony door. Only $5000. So the 4090s seems damn cheap in comparison, HaHa The new will become old, and you must renew it with time (your house/apartment and your tech). I bought my house we live in 1992 and only god know how much I have spent on it the last 3 decades. Most of the 4080 Super MSRP cards will float your boat with a waterblock and chiller. We have still access to X-flashing and lower GPU temps will still benefit 4000 series cards. Pay much more than MSRP is silly when you know the xx80 cards should never have costed more than $800-899 USD. Ordered 2x 12VHPWR cables. And they are on the way. The beQuiet 12VHPWR cables is half the price vs the 12VHPWR cables from Corsair😎 And all the other brands 12VHPWR cables is from 50-100% more expensive. I paid $15 USD for each of the cables without tax. So $30.10 for two + the Norwegian tax. And heres the thing. You pay double the price for this ugly 4-way pigtail adapter. That's perverse. -

Have never been a myth. Neither was it with the old fashion 8-pin connectors. The main difference.... The new tiny junk should have lower plug/unplug rating. You are lucky if the 12+4 pin connectors keep up with specs. In short... Alll too tiny and fragile. 50% bigger would be a blessing. I have no problem with the 12+4 pin connectors if they was a bit bigger and less fragile. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER stock running low in the US, no MSRP cards available videocardz.com https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4080-super-stock-running-low-in-the-us-no-msrp-cards-available Not the same problem here home. Less of the flagship models are available but you can find cards that fits your need. -

Two new original adapters cost $37.50 USD ($18.75 with one cable). Not the world's end. But will send a complaint when I have the time. Most important is to order so I have them within reasonable time from the Norwegian pc shop. Get replacements from Bequiet in Germany take probably +4 weeks included support time. But I will enjoy go back to the old fashion 8-pins cables for the old cards🙂 Nothing can beat old reliable tech. -

Regardless.. I will buy two new. See what they say. And I put in and out cards so have spare parts like this tiny trash is probably smart. Nope. I don't want use that dual pigtails. They use 8x8 pins for the HOF and I don't want change how it is inside the pc box. I'll go back to benching my old cards while I wait for new cables. I'll put in the 970 HOF for now. -

Papusan replied to Mr. Fox's topic in Desktop Hardware
Thank god I have the HOF with notification in the hardware and dual power connector. Got flash warning in my bench session and turned off the pc. The left power connector wasn't properly connected and when I took of the connector I saw the hook was barely together. I tried to adjust the gap on the hook and it just fell off. Can't say I'm happy with the Bequiet 12+4 pin power cable. I bench many different cards so I take the card in and out. But far from 30 times. This fragile little piece of power connector is pure trash. At least the power pins and the terminals was clean and nice. That's something. Afterwards I plugged in the broken 12VHPWR connector back on the card without the hook and started up the PC again. Run a bench to see if everything worked. Risky... Oh yeah, but I wanted to see if everything worked well before I take out the card and put back one of my other HOF cards. I won't risk this card with continued benching with a broken 12VHPWR connector😀 Now I need to order, not only one but two new. I don't risk re-use the second 12VHPWR cable. And I will send in an complaint to beQuiet support. Damn Nvidia... I wish they started to use their brain and go back to bigger and better power connectors. This isn't good enough. I have not enough time to deal with such trashware. At least I got finished 3Dmark 11 Performance before I removed the card😎 https://hwbot.org/submission/5477024_papusan_3dmark11___performance_geforce_rtx_4090_82551_marks -
Windows 10 Users Targeted with Persistent Upgrade Prompts to Windows 11 Published 6 hours ago by Hilbert Hagedoorn Microsoft is stepping up their game to encourage everyone still on Windows 10 to leap to Windows 11. They've started popping up these big, hard-to-ignore ads on your screen, which you might have seen if you're still using Windows 10. Not everyone's getting these nudges, though. They kicked off after a recent optional update in January. And these aren't the typical ads that you can just close and forget about. Nope, they've made them so you've got to actually pay attention and click through four different slides that talk up all the great things about Windows 11. But they don't mention if your computer might not be up to running it, which feels a bit sneaky.

Hmmm. Maybe loads of the produced 4080 Super cards go directly into China now? Remember China stands for 1/3 of the global GPU market. If China AI companies suck up most of the limited Defective 4090's they can find then expect 4080 Super above MSRP will be an good options for the gamers that want any available flagship cards they can find. If you live in the west you probably can find 4090's you can buy forwards. Big win win solution... For Nvidia and their board partners. Increased ASP help on the bottom line. Average Selling Price (ASP) Edit. Regarding the angled mess from Cablemod... If your GPU is damaged because of a failed adapter, we will repair it if your damage claim is submitted to us by February 22, 2024. CableMod will no longer reimburse the purchase price of a GPU that may have been damaged by a failed angled adapter. If all they offer is a repair.... They can't stick aways from the cards orginal genuine warranty. If you lose your warranty because you used their angled fire crackers, they have to offer exactly same warranty as the AIB partner/your home town. And not only for the connector failure. The whole card has to keep same orginal warranty in the whole warranted lifespan... Btw. Maybe it's time buy a real pc box instead for the modern small PC joke-boxes out there. Or just buy a graphics cards meant for modern tiny boxes. A truck engine isn't intended to be used for motorcycles/mini cars, so..... That's that. I wonder when we will see a world wide recall. Btw. I wonder how many will buy used or so called new Cablemod angled adapters on etc Ebay and similar sales webpages without knowing how they "perform". They will pay the ultimate price. -

Thanks for the video bro Rage. You are welcome any day come visiting Papusan's plaza. Norway is one of the hardest place to live in due the though/hard climate most of the year here up in the cold North. I wish Norway was placed a bit longer South. Around level of Germany would be nice. All too cold and rainy here. Cablemod bragged about +90.000 sold angled adapters.... They should be very happy they have liars in their support team. And they banned me from their sub forum because I was honest and told everyone that they should avoid use this 12+4 pin angled fire cracker. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission entry, Cablemod has sold around 25,300 units of the brand's 12VHPWR angled adapters, in various models and forms, and the recall includes all of them. Yup a lot easier with dual vbios. But a spare old Gpu help as well if the board(Cpu doesn't support iGPU. Glad you fixed it. Here is another 4090 twin/sibling model without vbios switch. It seems nvidia have shipped a few batches of 4090 FE with bad power connectors or the users are so afraid for melting that they use too much force. Seems the tiny 12+4 pin power connectors is Nvidia's main problem. Either they go up in smoke or breake. The ultimate choice between Pest and Cholera. This small 12+4 pin GPU power connector is totally wrong designed. Either it breaks or it melts. See the whole video. Yup. Most of the Gaming themed 4080 Super OC models is mostly out of stock. I expect the Expert model is more for the older people. Not for the gamerkids with money from mom and pa. Have you tried x-flash unverfied vbios thats up on Techpowerup? I see also this time Galax go outside the other AIB partners and provide vbios with an higher TGP limit (450W). -

Same can be said for Microsoft's security features. BitLocker's reliance on a TPM for security is its own downfall in this specific exploit. Bitlocker is one of the most easily accessible encryption solutions available today, being a built-in feature of Windows 10 Pro and Windows 11 Pro that's designed to secure your data from prying eyes. However, YouTuber stacksmashing demonstrated a colossal security flaw with Bitlocker that allowed him to bypass Windows Bitlocker in less than a minute with a cheap sub-$10 Raspberry Pi Pico, thus gaining access to the encryption keys that can unlock protected data. His exploit only took 43 seconds to steal the master key. Second stupidity for the day.... Whatever Microsoft try to do.... They will never ever be able to offer a secure OS. So the forced HW requirement for Win 11 is just stupid. If you hadn't scanned your OS with AV software you would be pretty screwed if you bough Junkware from some retail shops.... Yup, those premium stages may help if you x-flash Galax 660W vbios. But for gaming... They don't help much. With no XOC/Galax vbios you can just buy whatever float your boat. Don't be surprised that Nvidia is able to totally stop X-flashing with next gen graphics cards. Same with new modern motherboards. They are overbuilt to max out profits. Yep. I read your whole post and saw what you meant. I think a lot help if they can explain the value of money. Much in the technological jump can be compared to real life. Everything cost money. Teach their children what's right and whats wrong. My own childeren grew up in the era of internet and sub/payments for everything. They suck up everything from all places. From games to the dreaded sosial media. You can come a long way as parents with basic understanding. And talk with you children. Thats the most important part in this. You don't need to understand everything that happen now in the tech world 🙂 -

That's people with money. But much of the games with such sucky items is pushed towards the young ones. And be you sure... Many will be tricked into paying for something they don't understand the range of. They don't even need to be stupid... They are often dragged in by others/friends and this will only worsen. You being hooked into something you can't come out from. I hate such business practice. Not all have parents that can see how it works. And can enlightening them.
