AMD Details Tweaks Behind Recent Memory Overclocking Improvements tomshardware Want better gaming performance for about same or less money then scrap the idea of upgrade to 13900K if you are on DDR4 motherboard. Rather spend them on a cheap DDR5 board and a kit fast DDR5 memory if you have the 12900K. -

And Pcgamer.com wasn't very pleased with the new Alienware deskbox look. Real Gamer-kids want much more bling bling and more glossy plastic made in weird shaped cheapo boxes... What's the point buy an Dell Alienware desktop over their Dell XPX desktop models? And if you want the better tiers of nvidia cards you need to go with the vanilla Dell XPS model, LOOL What a failiure for Alienware as the gamer-kids prefered gaming brand. Indeed, the R16 offers exactly the same 25.2 liter internal volume as its predecessor and we believe the actual metal frame is the same with both systems. It's just the external plastic cladding that's changed. In short, the mere existence of Alienware PCs made the world a more interesting place. Well, not any more. Alienware's assimilation by the Dell corporate collective is now complete. The latest Alienware Aurora R16 has arrived and it's a generic mid-sized box. More to the point, what you now have is a generic looking box with Dell-Alienware style proprietary components that make future upgrades tricky. Kinda the worst of both worlds. Alienware's new Aurora R16 desktop PC is a deeply disappointing square box By Jeremy Laird pcgamer.com Where's the flair, Alienware? -

This is the ultimate choice between pest and cholera. +1200$ is what he can afford and all you'll get is a huge overpriced 4080. Previous gen xx80 Nvidia graphics cards was $699 without scalpers/miners. All this sadness because AMD couldn't deliver, LOOL Yes, both Nvidia and AMD have failed hard here. Not sure who's the worst of them. Overpriced and not working or even more overpriced but just works. I had some problems with my rx 7900 xtx, and i sent it back, now i'm planning to buy an nvidia GPU, because their driver support is way better compared to the AMD rx 7000 Series. My PC is pretty High End just for Gaming and i need an appropriate Graphics Card. I can spend roughly 1200€ on the GPU, i want it to be barely audible while playing games, and i'm not planning on overclocking it. -

Greed? If second or last is good enough... Then why not? Evidence Shows AI-Driven Companies Are Buying up Gaming GPUs Also EVGA thinks half-baked is good enough.... Peace of Mind EVGA warranty and support for "3" whole Years. EVGA Launches SuperNOVA 1000W and 850W Gold ATX 3.0 FTW Series PSUs PRESS RELEASE Introducing the EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 W/850 W Gold FTW Series - The power supply series designed to support up to 235% total power excursion and exceed the needs of today's most powerful PCs. With a half-bridge LLC resonant controller, DC-DC converter, and 100% Japanese Capacitors, the EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 W/850 W Gold FTW Series gives you the peace of mind to push your system to the limits. From JonnyGuru at Corsair.... They don't want to give customers the false hope that they'll be around longer than 3 years. Maybe for that extra $20, they should give the customer a "free" Asurion or Allstate extended warranty so if they EVGA goes belly up in three years and the PSU goes tits up in five, the customer is covered. -

Yep, Nvidia don't need to worry about competition. And hence they can continue screw own customers. And F. Azor fits very well into this AMD tragedy. Next-gen AMD RDNA 4 GPUs reportedly won't compete with Nvidia at the high end -

That will come later. Too expensive replace the old adapters for free with new and more blinky😇 Do your math bry ryan.... 100.000 free replacements with modern bling bling will cost them more🙂 And say hello to the new modern from Dell Alienware... New chassis design brings Alienware down to earth You want it bro Fox😬 Smaller has to be cuter? And halfway black. Are you tempted by the pretty power button in an RGB Alien logo? Run and buy.... I mean run away and puke. Alienware has chosen to produce a new chassis in mid-tower format. The transition to the new design not only gives users a smaller and more subtly designed box to have on the desk, but other benefits are added such as lower noise level and better cooling. Ryan will this thing be your next pc? https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/alienware-aurora-r16 This all adds up to an atypically safe redesign for Alienware. It's one that's functional and will work for those Kids who simply want to buy a PC, boot up Steam or Epic Games and get started playing with powerful performance. But I hope Alienware's next design finally works on those internals, which are in dire need of a refresh. And it offer fantastic cable management.... Dell's engineers should be proud of this. Yep, this has to be todays ot this months joke. And in "basalt" black. Not in real black bro @electrosoft😟 -

The real problem is that this custom adapter don't stay plugged in. It will wiggle out from the connector on the GPU pcb. More as a ticking Bomb🙂 And I'm afraid some will give away their top bin cards for the new castrated 1.070 versions due melt hell fix. So stupid can't be fixed. Neither, will it be recovered 😞 -

I know you could make it better 🙂 @electrosoft Will you still try out your CM adapter replacement or have you asked for the v1.1 ? And how smart.... A re-call would destroy profits and reputation @Rage Set Better send out an email with coupon code so you can get vr.1.1 for free. Cheaper as well. What's the difference between stop sell it for now vs re-call? @ryan Do your math and you can clearly see whats going on in Papusan's head🙂 -

Yep. ads more important than the product. But nothing can be worse than the CM custom product Nothing is as good as the smell of a so called high end product. As you can see bro @ryan Listening on the wrong people will never help you in the long run. And here I sit.... This is the opposite of what I have preached about. Maybe it's smarter listening on the good "old" guys? Never ever be an guinea pig. This will never serve you well. But I expect fanboys or the stupids is not on my level/same side of the coin@Rage Set Maybe stupid is the new normal.... I don't know. as a footnote... I swap betwen all cables several times a week. I shold experience smoke every day. -

Cost savings has to be todays word. Pcworld's Senior editor may suggest that you swap out your high end pc and gears for an Chromebook. And your house/office will be much colder bro Fox. Same time get rid of one of your power hogs monitors. No need for that. And don't forget to dial down your PC’s performance to cool down further. Maybe castrate the power with 60% ? So double win for you. Colder office and loads of saved money😀 Maybe I as well should throw out all my tech gears and only use my old smarthphone? Can't be cheaper than that. But then I’ll have to power one of my electricity oven 😞 I can’t win in everything. 11 tech tips to beat heat waves and lower your electric bill But don't fall for the temptation and go back to high end gears when the temperature becomes more livable when the winter come. That will only destroy some of the gains you got for free from Pcworlds head editor. -

Don't give me too much credit and downplay yourself. I'm sure you have the cojones to do whatever you wish or want. And never ever downplay yourself. That what I have learned in my somewhat long life. Even JonnyGuru and Corsair have the cojones to try go in the minefield... 12VHPWR angled adapters. Hope they can do it better than CableMod. At least they was smart enough to start in the small. Not offer adapters to everyones custom cards @Rage Set But I have been in talk with Jonny and he as well see the CM angled adapter have some quality issues. Hope he and his engineers have learned from CableMod/custom brands failures. I'm the link king and try be spot on... @electrosoft🙂 But whay are som people (fanboys?) down voting my honest view of some of todays tech? Is honesty bad nowadays. Too new and modern? Hola bro Prema. Nice see you are alive. Hope all is well with you. And nice to see you still try to make the life better for the laptop-jockeys 🙂 I expect this is only an teaser what to come once you have the chance to play in lower temps. Great to see you back here🙂 -

This card have been in use near 8 years. I can't see the white color have changed vs cards I have seen in reviews. All cleaning I did after I got it was with the AC blower and a water dampened cloth. And the cleaning took less than 1min. But I expect there is a difference between products and brands. Not all offer the quality you should expect. Reducing cost to maximize profit is the main driver. Welp it happened to me :/ Well, as expected Turnaround time for replacement GPU? -

Yep, if the rest of the system is good enough then I think @ryaneasly can have a good gaming experience with 3060Ti. Not even sure he need spend more money to buy that 3080. Only if he really see the need or want more benching gears. Sub 900$ is a great price for a gaming rig if the parts match what you get for the price. https://www.pcworld.com/article/1947085/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4060-ti-vs-rtx-3060-ti-and-radeon-rx-6700-xt-fight.html In conclusion for performance: The RTX 4060 Ti is not a worthwhile upgrade over either the RTX 3060 Ti or the AMD 6700 XT. While DLSS 3 and ray tracing performance is better, the lower-resolution entry point limits the appeal. And DLSS 3 is not available on many games, so....... As you can see... Newer doesn't always mean much better🙂 -

I don't have the 3060Ti so can't say yes or no. But be sure you get the value from that 1100 spending. I expect you talk about CAD and not U$D. So $830 USD for the whole PC. One thing for sure.... You can't upgrade any laptops. You are stuck with what you have. And you can't put in different graphics card for a bench session. But you can offset some of the cost for a newer graphics card if you find out you want to sell that 3060Ti. Maybe buy a pair to bro @electrosoft😀 Here is the new one... I mean the new old 980Ti HOF card. There is minimale difference in design and size between the 970 and the 980Ti. And that's a good thing. The weaker cards should be in same size as the bigger boys. They all 3 have even the same white color shroud, LOOL Can you see the crocs? -

It's holiday time... Lots on the go. And my wife have soon summer vacations so we will travel even more. And today we spent the day celebrate our wedding day. So not much time for my hobby right now. And summertime means more work in the garden and around the house. The damn rain feed the grass so this means more work for me, LOOL I think those are all too mych gamer-style than my likings. Recent Windows updates made video playback and capture impossible for some users Hey, these are not-so-quality Windows updates... In short, the normal. By Alfonso Maruccia, July 28 Facepalm: Microsoft recently released an optional "improvement" to its operating system through the Windows Update service. Unfortunately, the update made some users' life much harder than expected, especially for video playback and recording operations.

Rumor: Nvidia scrapped RTX 4090 Ti plans Why Nvidia chose to scrap the RTX 4090 Ti is unknown, but it is speculated that the decision was made because Nvidia simply does not need to launch a new powerful graphics card. The RTX 4090 performs at its peak and when AMD chose to focus on lower performance segments, the Ti version only ate up the sales of the regular RTX 4090. This at a time when the sales of graphics cards, and other components, are low. The fortune telling about the RTX 5000 Kopite7kimi also delivers rumors regarding Nvidia's next graphics card generation. According to the leaker, the next-generation flagship card, which will be the RTX 5090, will be equipped with a 512-bit memory bus, which is the first time since the launch of the 15-year-old GTX 285 Nvidia has used such a memory bus in a single card. This, in combination with 32GB GDDR7 graphics memory, can offer memory bandwidth of 2 TB/s - double that of the RTX 4090. The question above... WHY Nvidia does this (if the rumors are correct). Because of the the RTX 5000 cards (nvidia will take an Intel this time with minor uplift in performance). With a near maxed out ADA die, then the difference between 4090Ti and next gen 5090 would be quite low. And with the rumors of 512-bit memory bus + no 4090Ti we will see an ok performance uptlift from ADA to ADA Next. The difference would be minimal with same mem bus and with 4090Ti in the playfield. Maybe Nvidia also will do the same for 5060 and 5060Ti? Bump up the mem bus back from the wimpy 128 bit castration back to the normal? Maybe ADA Next isn't the big performance uplift people hoped for? Then you have AMD... They are not so keen compete in performance and take the performance crown. Only on the prices. Closest possible to Nvidia. The red team fills out the Radeon RX 7000 series with the RX 7900 GRE, which beats Nvidia's Geforce RTX 4070 on the fingers but at the same price. Then why spend much of your resources on the gamer-boys if you can have it both? Nvidia's AI GPUs Are Selling for up to $70,000 in China --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Isn't it cute. If you need do an RMA you may be stuck with a less pleasant 4090 graphics card as outcome. Nice with new revision of silicon. Yep, silicon lottery have finally got an new meaning. New or newer is always better bro @ryan🙃 Maybe payback time or a nice helping hand from Nvidia. Lower the max voltage will lower the max power consumption so it match a fix for the smoke hell with 4090s. Great. I knew we would get some sorts of a fix from nvidia, LOOL From overclock.net If it's any help here's the two BIOS from my 4090 Suprim X which has the 1.070 voltage limit, might be interesting to know if you can flash other BIOS between the newer cards with the 1.070 limit. I could not flash older Suprim or other older 4090 BIOS (tried 666W BIOS that I had on my previous SuprimX), got same errors as previously stated. -
