Hmmm. Swap out that letter for the Jokebook😀 $500 usd is a lot money. Even if you say it's free money. Yup, return to sender🙂 -
I forgot this one below. Why can't you be allowed to handle this by yourself in the settings? As far as privacy is concerned, it is unclear how often Safety Check runs and how often Chrome reports back to the mothership. There is no option to turn this off.

Hmm. You got it for free ... The Papusan way? Maybe see if you can find cheap 2x16GB kit. Then scrap the 8GB stick. -
Why change it only for the change? Some have discovered that the grass ain't so green on the other side. And some don't want to be tricked by Stupids that tells you that "newer has to be better". Yep, there is still hope for the humanity @Mr. Fox Windows 10 holds strong: nearly 7 out of 10 desktops still powered by the older OS Windows 11 just can't seem to catch up.

Is newer always better bro @ryan @Mr. Fox @Rage Set? Why make own products more and more ugly? For the attention it create? I hate Chrome browser's new design with a burning passion. Here's how to revert to the classic one.

Hmmm Edit. We can continue talk about HELL NO. Nice winter weather here home. Already 11 minus and strong icecold wind that makes the temperature feels more like minus 20. And it gets worse. Much worse. I expect from 25-35C minus outside Papusan's plaza in the coming days. Then you have the wind on top. Yup, nice being stuck in the cold North. Once the cold is finished then we are back to rain and windy days again. Then it will switch over again. Oh'gosh I hate it. It gets worse - then comes the Siberian monster Snow and strong winds have ravaged Southern Norway in particular. When the low pressure is over - the monster cold comes from Siberia. In some parts longer up in north of Norway we may even see temps colder than minus 40. Pair that with fresh blowing wind and you will really feel your alive. -

Hi. Desktop build is the only way forwards. Regarding AMD I can't help much. I prefer Intel systems. In same way as I prefer Nvidia over AMD. But for the PSU.... See if you can find a cheap second gen Corsair HX1500i (2022) or the newer refreshed HX1500i with Atx 3.0 specs (only ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 certified). Both is very good options as Corsair still haven't implemented 12VHPWR connectors on the PSU panel. Which is a good thing. Buy the one you get at best price. PC Part Disaster: Disappointment PC Build 2023 (Worst Parts of the Year). As long new is always better newer it will sell regardless. All too much new tech have almost no value (in short... trash) or is just overpriced vs the offered performance. -

Yup, and the trend run in a pace we have never seen before. Kingston Fury Renegade RGB DDR5-7200 48GB Dual-Channel Memory Kit Review tweaktown.com Final Thoughts A lot of their R&D money went into styling, which is obvious. Mixing matte black with brushed aluminum, machined FURY in the center, and brutish angles all over, even found in the diffuser, all come together to make an aesthetically pleasing presentation For what RAM is intended, performance comes first for us, and the Fury Renegade RGB does not deliver as expected when scaled against other slower kits. -

Main problem... Cheapo PSUs that only offer 150W from their 8-pin power connectors. They use cheapo parts and cables with wire gauge at 18 or even 20. Hence Nvidia offered the 4x8pin to 12VHPWR power connector to be sure even trash PSUs could be used with their flagship cards. Nvidia would never ever designed new cards with 4x 8pin power connectors. Only Galax made it correct with the 4090 HOF. But rest of their 4090 SKUs only got same single 12+4 pin connector. Nvidia could also re-design the power delivery so the card could use more power from the PCIe slot. 4090s don't make much use of the power from that slot. Nvidia prefer to let the cards have all power from the slimy thin new modern 4+12 mini connector. Add more failure points to already weak design and you have the complete disaster. This will hunt Cablemod years forwards. A real damage to the brand. Thanks to nvidia want slimmer PCBs for the whole range of graphics cards. And one connector fits all is cheaper than use up to 4x 8pin connectors/terminals. u/GladGeologist4311 - 17 minutes ago Angle connector just melting my 4090 Once people have bought adapers they won't check if they are safe to use... Cleanest build Edit. What I'm afraid of.... Nvidia will be more restrictive with max TGP with next gen cards. This way they can offer higher safety margins for the 12+4 pin power connector/cables. Because they know people often go very cheapo on other hardware. Can also add in.... The next gen cards will probably be deigned smaller so people with mini-boxes can use the big boy cards. We see this already now with the release of the slim version cards. And the slimy Apple trend continue. And the quality follow same paths... 3 out of 5 stars is all too much. But sadly it will still sell as hot chocolate in a cold day if it fits into your filthy tiny trash box. Trash will make place for more trash if you understand what I mean.... Yup, we are forced on filthy because engineers think Unisex system is good. And the same happens also with modern processors nowadys. Because Jokebooks is their main cash-grab. You know M.2 SSDs suck, right? M.2's elevation For some bono-headed reason, somebody decided that attaching an SSD directly to the motherboard was the best path forward. M.2 rapidly became the most widely adopted connection and to this day, almost every performance-based consumer SSD is a 2280 form factor NVMe M.2 drive. The whole world is filled with STUPIDITY -

Thank you very much my friend 🙂 For you and all my friends on Notebooktalk..... I really hope 2024 will be a much better year than the year we now go out from. 2023 was a Annus horribilis for us here home so I really hope 2024 will be our annus mirabilis. Happy New Year!! 🙂 From Papusan's plaza🙂 Overclocker League (Enhusiasts) 2023. Yet another reason to avoid fancy and modern White color themed hardware. If they can't make it right... The stupids at Asus engineering team thought it was much better with an 8-pin instead for the 6-pin power connector for the board. Hence they removed 2 SATA ports to be able to have enough space on the board to provide more power for USB-C Storage. They mean desktops should have same features as Jokebooks "on the go". And they offered same stupididity when they removed the Gen_5 PCIe add in board for the new useless M.2 Gen 5 slot right below the CPU. Yup, they mean OC/gamer boards should only use 8-PCIe lines for the GPU. I have no need for the M.2_1 slot. Useless. Give back the Add in board if I want to steal PCIe lines from the GPU. * M.2_1 shares bandwidth with PCIEX16(G5)_2 and PCIEX16(G5)_1. When M.2_1 is occupied with SSD device, PCIEX16(G5)_2 will be disabled and PCIEX16(G5)_1 will run x8 only. ** USB Type-C® power delivery output: 5/9/15/20V max. 3A, PPS:3.3–21V max. 3A -

Yup. Voltage control work with GPUTweakll with newer nvidia drivers. MSI Afterburner.... Nope. But if I add voltage first with the Asus tool, then I can see the voltage slider in Msi Afterburner being maxed out. Nice. And the stupids at Nvidia still haven't fixed the locked down voltage for Maxwell graphics cards. When will they do the same for Pascal and Turing? When Blackwell is out? Hmmm. GTX 960 @ryan do you know what the Norwegian word Gull meaning in English?😀 https://hwbot.org/submission/5440484_papusan_3dmark___time_spy_geforce_gtx_960_3221_marks?recalculate=true https://hwbot.org/submission/5440493_papusan_3dmark___sky_diver_geforce_gtx_960_34041_marks?recalculate=true -

Finally had the time to take a look on the MSI GeForce GTX 960 GAMING 100ME (Limited Edition). Not a bad sample. Asic 80.8% and +295 on the cores in GPUPI without touching the voltage. From every new patch note.... "Improved system performance". I can't grasp why etc Safedisk didn't want to explain what's improved in every new bios versions they throw out. So completely avoiding the topic. Oh'well, it's Asus and they don't want to tell more than needed (same with other OEMs). Maybe Intel also have something to say if Asus go own ways. Only those working closely with this brand (the elite and their friends) will have all this info. I'm not sure you'll get the WD_Black so much cheaper.... SSD prices predicted to skyrocket throughout 2024 And the price hike will apply most of new tech. $664.39 for Core i9-14900. Hmmm, no thanks. The trend goes the wrong way. Maybe start with BIOS 0506. I mean people wasn't happy with the newer BIOS 0507. These two bios versions have the older ME 16.1.30.2264. And I mean the Encore come with this ME version istalled. -

Congrats bro Fox. From what I have seen it works ok. But can't compare it with 0070/0071 many others have had sucksess with. I never flashed those versions. Remember the 0070 and forwards need newest IMEI. And I think the bios have it baked in. Maybe waith with the newest. I think its 0801 from Asus support page come with new security fixes https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-maximus/rog-maximus-z790-apex-encore/helpdesk_bios/ Ps. The vram nvidia should have used for 4090's. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER Gets World's Fastest GDDR6X Memory Solution Clocking In At 23 Gbps Pin Speeds, Reveals RTX 40 SUPER Specs Leak We have also come to know that there were indeed plans for a GeForce RTX 4090 SUPER though those were dropped due to the recent sanctions which limit the release of GPUs hitting over 4800 TOPs in China and other regions. Currently, there are no plans to do a RTX 4090 SUPER or Ti GPU but that might change if restrictions soften up in the coming year (which seems unlikely at the moment). -

Remember the 4090 is a very great selling graphics card. And China + the rest of the foreign banned U.S countries stands for 1/3 of Nvidia's Global sales of graphic cards. So not many AD102 dies will go to spill. The question will be.... Will there be enough defective AD102 dies for a global sales of 4080Ti ? And how many of the 4090D for the "gamers" will the Chinese AI companies grab for AI workloads? Hmm.... A possible 4080Ti with ~12416 cores and 20GB of memory need to cost at least $1399 if nvidia want to bother with it. They have done magic (Max-Q) before... So who knows😀 -

Same fan model. But this is the slower 2000 RPM model for the same awful MSRP. And all testers outside Igorslab said they are overpriced and not worth the price or price vs performance. And lower performance vs some cheaper fans doesn't make it more appealing. A huge Nope.
