    Its looking good! If you can get for a test a PCIe 3.0 card than it will be a 100% it will be working, PCIe 2.0 X16 = PCIe 3.0 X8 as transfer speed

    Im just thinking about that: -Does the desktop gpu have the technology to rerute the display to the MB -If it does,its capable to provide EDP signal? Cuz these Clevo laptop dont have mux and igpu , yeah i know mux and igpu is holding back around 5-10% permormance that is not acceptable.

    If you go with mxm sli in the P870 series , you wire up the 2 cards with an sli bridge as normal desktop gpu, the cards and the driver will do the rest of the job in communication. For this type of setup, windows and Nvidia driver tells the cpu witch card has to do the graphical math and the cpu send the data for that card, same as i used in the p370sm amd and nvidia card , just simply select the card that i want to use and the system do the rest.

    Nice, the card its self is using 2.0 X16 , but its good to see its using all the X16 interface, i think with the 3.0 X16 will work without any issue, but with 4.0 X16 will work only at 3.0 X16 due to the laptop port ( it will show i think: PCIe 4.0 X16@ 3.0 X16)

    The Thunderbolt 3 egpu adapter is way worst then the m2 method. For the older laptops, the communication chain is: CPU-->PCH-->Laptop TB controller--> EGPU TB controller --> GPU and if u use internal diplay the data has to go back. With Tiger and Ice lake (TB4) generation theres some upgrade : CPU--> EGPU TB controller--> GPU . But its still limited to 32gps , and theres a reserve in the communication. Im waiting for the TB5 to released or leaked, for now theres some information that it has 120gbps speed.

    Can you take a picture from the card? I did a p1770sm 1060 upgrade with lvds screen its plug and play, but you have to edit the nvidia driver in order to install it otherwise its gonna say that no compatible device was found. In the device manager van you see a second video card next to the intel hd ?

    If you need dsanke bios dm me, ive installed it yesterday , have all dekstop cpu capable 9th gen bios . Heres the compatibility list : 9TH unlocked bios list for clevo

    Lol the 2080 super is only ~10% stronger then the 2080? It was tested without intel turbo boost!

    The bios mod is only for nvidia driver to support new hardware ID, we tested a 3080 in a 751dm2-g and its started without any issue and the internal screen worked , only the driver has to be modded . Its kind of same like the oldel Clevo /Alienware/MSI laptop where the old GTX 7-8xxM series was replaced with 9xxM or 10xx cards and you had to add the gpu hardware ID to the inf file.

    Im using a 9900 non K , if i let it go to by base setting its consume 135W 4.6ghz allcore at 99C , so i simply disabled turbo boost and its now allcore 3,1ghz but with 45W and it can maintain a fanless operation at 70C. I have stock bios so no advanced menu or OC menu for me , but planning to get an unlocked bios and set the cpu freq to active cores. Like one core 5.0ghz , 2 cores 4.6 ,4 cores 4.2, 6 cores 3.8 and allcore 3.4ghz to get low temps on the cpu, the gpu is fine by me, same almost fanless operation.

    Hi! Ive tried to install the 3.0 control center and it not works, when i start no error message nothing, it didnt appear in osd . Someone has a fix for it or just let it go?

    If i heard it right , from the 10xx series the vbios at starting always count the amount of vram, so basicly if its the same brand and adress then its automaticly detect the amount of vram.

    Nice ! For a BGA 2080s its a magic to do 16GB mod. Those MXM 2080S cards are rare, and my 751tm probably cant handle that much heat, with the non K i9 at 130W (normal) performance its reach 100C , and the 2080 with 150-160W its around 90C hotspot. For the 870 barebones theres a much more room to upgrade with T shaped 6 pipe , and the VC heatsink, not to mention the TM's cpu heatsink with 2 grille's.

    Hi! I have heard that someone was upgraded the mxm 1080 to 16GB vram with the OC unlocked Vbios. Is there any proof for that?

    If i remember correctly , one of the videos mentioned that the dgff connector is same as the Alienware area 51m gpu connector.

    4k LCD would be great for it , but if its an oled 4k that would be the best. They mentioned previsuly an extra "mxm" slot at the back, if its functions as a battery while traveling and repalced at home to a MXM to Pcie 16X adapter that can be the best option for gaming power and compatibility .

    Stock TM board with stock bios capable to support the rtx series, i have stock bios on the 751TM and a 2080 mxm card. In older models like DM2/3-KM , the bios mods for unlocking and adding microcodes for 8-9 th gen support . Rtx mxm would work with stock bios but then theres a hardver ID mismatch in the gpu inf files, so you need to copy the ID's to the inf file to install nv driver. Like the 750DM2-G that ive sold, the GTX 1080 that got into it had a different vbios (for a TM and a 200W power limit) . With the stock bios there was an ID mismatch, but when the TM modbios was installed for 8-9th gen support the ID was accepted by Nvidia driver . I have seen 751TM 775TM 870TM machines with RTX 3080 mxm , if it fits then it probably gonna be work. At dell precision m6800 laptops you can go with pascal gtx and quadro but only with early vbios , other than that , the windows wont start but in linux its working fine......

    Hi! In our litle country we are playing with mxm to Pcie adapter . So, for now in clevo desktop cpu version (no igpu) there is a problem.... the card being recognized in windows but the internal lcd dont have diplay only with an external . Is there a solution for this problem like in the bios some of the settings? The Laptop has unlocked bios and a 9900K cpu With an MSI GT72 is everything good.

    Is there any chance to find a P770ZM Prema V2 unlocked bios for it? Only for the nvme support.

    Finally got the P771ZM, my biggest suprise was that is has been costumized by a handmade paint Totoro style.

    Yes but the p177sma uses intel hd to give screen, the p771ZM dont have mux and intel hd.
