  1. Not jumping in to defend AMD's drivers, because they do somewhat suck. I miss the old CCC days for sure, as I didnt have to reset my PC if the driver crashed while benching (most of the time) The modern app model is broken, and pointless IMO, and should have been abandoned years ago. I do, however, like the update frequency in which AMD releases their drivers. On a side note, I am very pleased with the purchase of the 7900xtx, and think its a fun card to bench, especially with a water block installed. (of what little time I have had with it) Update: Newegg has not asked for the extra DDR5 8000mhz ram back, so I have some 2x16gb Trident Z5 available on the cheap. https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-32gb/p/N82E16820374449?Item=N82E16820374449
  2. Ooh, nice! I'll have to download that this weekend and try it! @Mr. FoxI will try and post something this weekend for him. The quickest way to get a performance bump is to set the PBO to all cores, and adjust the voltage curve optimizer down to negative 20 to 30 (If his particular silicon can handle it)
  3. Mobo in my sig, and haven't had a chance to play with it yet to see how stable it is. I did, however, receive another set of the Gskill trident Z's in the mail 😁. I had to file for a lost package on my initial purchase, as it never showed up, but it magically appeared yesterday via UPS mail innovations. Not sure if the Egg will ask for it back or not. Was looking through my Newegg account and found an old review I posted. All I have to say is..."ahh, the good old days"!
  4. @jaybee83Have you had any luck getting 8000 to boot? I haven't had much time to mess with mine, but 8000mhz just hangs. I'm in at 7800mhz just fine, using xmp settings, and just dropping to it. Says on the package it is 1.45v, but bios only goes up to 1.43v?
  5. This is also why you get many freebies/goodies sent to you to play with 👍
  6. Welp, today was the final day for my 8000mhz ram to be delivered, and guess what ....ya, you guessed it, a no show. Now I have to file a claim with Newegg for a lost package, that looks to me like it was never shipped. 🤬 Now another 5 to 7 business days for them to resolve my claim....what a joke. I could be losing sleep right now trying to hit 8000 MHz....smdh @Papusansorry bro about the yuck you are going through. I hate the heat too. 35c here in Idaho today. @Mr. FoxIt takes a degree in trigonometry to know if the human eye can distinguish between 1080p, and 4K. Viewing angle, pixel pitch, distance from the screen ....blah, blah.. I myself believe it's marketing BS. I cannot tell the difference between 1080, 1440, 4K. My eyes can however, see the difference in low refresh rate screens. 60hz and lower flickers like a florescent bulb. https://www.techspot.com/article/1113-4k-monitor-see-difference/
  7. How much was that Asus MB? I think my MSI was around $500. I seem to have a fairly good 7950x sample, as it can be benched all cores negative 30 voltage curve. I can get near 40K on CB 23. I am also able to run my 6000mhz ram at 6400mhz @34 36 36 36, 1-1
  8. USPS "currently awaiting for package"...haha they have until tomorrow. Never been this disappointed with Newegg. Ordered on the 19th, supposedly shipped on the 21st. I have always received my orders in 3 to 4 business days, with full tracking available. This is stupid.
  9. This is what the Egg says, but supposedly it is in transit?? Stupid.
  10. Still waiting for my 8000mhz ram to be delivered. UPS mail innovations sucks! The Egg says it's still hasn't shipped, but I tried to create a case for an undelivered item, and was shot down, saying it's in delivery process. A little disappointed with them. I ordered on the 21st, should have been here by now 🤬
  11. There's my man chew*. Hope you pop in from time to time and visit with us! We are a small, and somewhat close group of geeks, that have a small hardware addiction 😁
  12. I'd like to think I fall into that category, because I like aesthetically pleasing hardware, and Windows installs, but will not cut corners in performance. If I stare at my screen for a few hours a day, I want it to be a little on the "eye candy" ish side. Same goes with my hardware, although I hate rainbow unicorn piss for rgb, I do like some nice looking lights
  13. Remember CompUSA? Loved that place! They always had great stuff!
  14. You know, I have been looking for a really cool Uncle lately! I am interested in being a Nephew, Hit me up! All kidding aside, thats pretty cool bro @electrosoft
  15. Has anyone ever done this? Man what a total brain fart! Submitting to the Bot like this 🤣
  16. 2800mhz mem, 3200mhz core, bench stable with the new water block on the xtx!
  17. I just thought of something that might be kind of cool. Not sure if anyone would be into it though. What about setting up a zoom video call with the Overclock thread guys every now and then? Anything goes, type call. Just to shoot the S**t, or talk about new and interesting things? I don't know, it just popped in my head a second ago....
  18. Already in Windows at 6400mhz 1-1, changed nothing but frequency! Couldn't get past windows loading screen before! These are stock 6000mhz sticks...The Egg may be getting some more of my hard earned credit/cash soon 🙂
  19. @electrosoftbios released for our boards today 😁 I've been checking daily https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-X670E-CARBON-WIFI/support
  20. So I am friends with a guy named chew* on Xtreme systems on Facebook. Apparently gigabyte has their new Agesa out.
  21. Wow, the man, the myth, the legend has graced us with an appearance 🤣 Good to see ya stranger 👍💪
  22. $259 USD for 2x16gb, $279 for 2x24gb. Have not decided on which, and still waiting on MSI for a bios drop 😕
  23. I have a couple things in my cart, waiting for a new bios to drop, and the time to tinker. Still have a new Bykski water block to install 😒
